- A journey for a different design has led to some new inspirations. I have always loved Pysanky eggs and the beautiful creations from Russia, Ukraine and Sweden. For this piece I took some inspiration from their designs. I also wanted to make it an opportunity to show, even beginners, or people with tools other than paint brushed, that you can still easily create these lovely designs.

I love the use of different tools. I find that if you lightly spray a coat of clear gloss on the wood first, the base coat of paint goes on better.
Yes..that can help, but I was not sure if the Gelly roll pen would work over a varnish, so I omitted it in favor of utilizing the pen
