    Thanks for posting this, I feel like a lot people just look at reggae as a stoner genre, you definitely know what your talking about and I think your doing justice to the genre.

    Hmm, interesting observation. I never noticed that I was doing that. Probably because I'm concentrating so hard on saying everything correctly and not forgetting anything important. All the reggae videos are already shot but I'll keep it in mind for future ones, thanks.

    Oh hell yes. I love this. I play the blues harp and some finger style blues. This is so close to blues but with the 12 bar chucked.

    I wouldn't say the accents are on two and four, it's not like the skank is the reggae equivalent of a snare hit, the accent in reggae lies solely on the three, where the kick and snare hit (also called a one drop beat) it's better to hear the skank as going to the accent rather than being the accent itself

    HEY, do you have any recommendations for a decent acoustic for reggae?? I just have my electric. Please let me know!

    • @zacharron
      @zacharron  6 років тому

      Reggae is usually played on electric anyway. There are no special acoustics for Reggae but one with relatively low action would help!

      +maxvip95 If you're not used to al lthe barre chords it will take some time before you develop the strength and endurance. Keep at it!

      Lots of guitar playing. Make sure you've got a good left hand position with your thumb flat on the back of the neck and wrist slightly bent.
