- The reveal trailer for the long awaited grim reaper career pack just dropped and it's life and death! ngl this almost made me weep and I just know the full pack is gonna take it out of me. Me too. Then look up the Sims Community Life and Death Extra Information page too. Now I'm obsessed. I've got stories floating all over my brain now. I think they've outdone themselves this time as long as everything works like the FIXED weddings. Recently fixed.
I didn’t even notice that it was a Wednesday reference I just thought it meant we were getting goth music and a new dance animation to go with it 😅. Also I wonder if the death bed animation is a new object specific death tied to getting their cards read. (As a tarot reader I’m obligated to mention no tarot won’t curse/kill you it’s just cards giving advice)
I think the reaper career IS an active career because the blog post called it a "Profession" and in the jobs menu, professions are the three from Get to Work AND the Actor career from Get Famous. Also they called the Undertaker a "classic career" which was to set it apart from the Grim Reaper career.

I understand that Gothic furniture is not to your taste. That being the case, this is a heavily death themed pack that is being released on Halloween, regardless of what other packs also had Gothic furnace. Gothic furniture is extremely appropriate in this case
just feels like it doesn’t stand out a lot from the gothic furniture we already have tbh. i wouldn’t mind so much if it looked different enough and didn’t feel samey
@@EnglishSimmerI hope this doesn’t come across as mean because this is a genuine question, how much different could it look realistically? There’s already traditional gothic with base game/vampires and modern gothic with paranormal/crystal creations. Idk how on theme and simultaneously different they could go with the aesthetic honestly
@kiarawilliams2720 I like that it will blend seamless with basegame. As much I love the furniture from realm of magic and vampires, their style and swatches doesn't go with anything else

tbf this is valid. i know very little about gothic bc it’s not a style that interests me very much or i use frequently. i understand that people want more, it’s just not for me

This pack is being haunted by My Wedding Stories, and it is absolutely terrifying.
I think this motivated them to do the big patch on weddings and so far it has worked great for me🎉

Omg, it looks like this expansion pack will really be an expansion pack, not glorified game pack! I'm shocked 😂 But seriously, looks very fun, and so much different things will be added! I just beg for funerals to not be a chaotic mess, even if every single funeral irl with my family ends up as one, they shouldn't take inspiration from us 😂
After For Rent and Lovestruck and probably a few other packs I didnt care one bit. I am actually excited for a expansion pack. Never though that would happen so soon. And an occult EP is crazy. Crazy good. Give me fairies sometime in the future and I am set for life.
My mom’s cousin is a funeral director. I can’t wait to recreate their house which had the funeral business on the first floor with this pack. I had so much fun playing hide and seek in that house!
I am BEYOND EXCITED for this pack. The trailer was beautiful and emotional, the song was awesome, the editing, the memories, the story!!! And then seeing the blog post, there seems to be so much gameplay, such a good balance of serious and whimsy... this seems to have been made with love and care

I'm so excited fro this pack I can't wait to see everyone's early access. I feel like they gave us a lot. It's going to help to add to game play and the build/buy items look awesome.
This actually has me excited for the game again as a console player I don’t think I even want to play my game until I get this ep. It’s actually so good! I will wait to see the gameplay before buying but this is the direction they need to take in the future of the sims

Bringing back a limited time item in a slightly different form just to make it limited time all over again is the kind of thing that makes doves cry.
Very surprised by this expansion pack, which doesn't happen often to me anymore. I wasn't expecting to care about it that much since my sims rarely die, yet this pack still looks amazing. So then the people who REALLY wanted this theme very much must be more excited than I can possibly imagine.
I missed the first time limited family portrait. I wish this new version was part of the annoying grim reaper event, rather than a paid time limited object. That way more people had a chance to unlock it.
I have to admit offering something I have been asking for for years as an early buyers reward is very tempting.

It´s not "he Wednesday dance" Jenna was inspired by the dance Wednesday dances!! (well I guess it is now kind of) in the original black and white show. So she is dancing traditional gothic dance, but yeah I can see how so many think it´s just "the Wednesday dance".

Theres so much in this pack, wow. V inconsistent considering lovestruck didnt lol but im very excited about this! Like im not really interested in the grim stuff but thats not all there is, they really gave this one a lot of thought it seems.
the outfits in this pack are making up for the goth kit we got. i love romantic goth fashion
I love that you keep your (and our) expectations realistic 🙌 it feels like there are lots of features, but that might be just on paper or completely bugged... I'm hopeful though 😊

Right now I fear this pack as a potential wedding stories nightmare, like I would fear a real ghost. I need to see live honest simmers playing it before I buy it.
Fixed weddings recently probably because of this pack.
If only they offered all of the timed event items for sale for 50 cents. I actually refuse to get anything that will give me timed event items because as a builder I don’t want to build anything with items people can never get. So for example, it makes me even more likely to wait until expansion packs go on sale so I know that these items won’t ever sneak into my builds and cause incomplete builds in the gallery. Same for CAS items. I am working on a savefile and it needs to be accessible to anyone with the packs.
only build/buy is a music box unless you want someones family portrait. should be fairly easy to remember to not use 1 item
@@shayne87 I am including every early expansion pack buy and every timed event item reward here as one larger group of items.
I would love to be able to get some of those time limited items for 50cent or even 1 euro. They could easily add them for sale a year after the time limited offer. That way it is exclusive for quite a while.

The barbecue baby comment caught me off guard 😂🔥👶🏻 There looks to be quite a few new features what will be fun to play around with (both for realism players and occult players). Several people have said that the world looks Romanian which seems a good pick for the theme. Rebirth is very intriguing so I’m interested to know more about that!

This looks like fun. I am going to spend all my time gaming with Dragon Age Veilguard but if you are making a series with a sim in order to discover the content in the pack I would really like to watch that.

I am more excited about this pack than I thought I would. I was not interested in the grim reaper career and still am not into it. But the rest... The world looks amazing, the life journey and reincarnation sound awesome, funerals and crypts are useful and my sims will get a pet bird. I am also very relieved we don't get zombies.

This pack is giving Dead Like Me. If you haven't seen it its amazing. Its about people who die and become grim reapers and they have to get training and fill a quota lol The only thing its missing is demon gremlins dropping pianos on people
Yeah, except the only difference with these specters is that they have red eyes and they are teal in this trailer and in paranormal stuff they are green deep Violet indigo or red.
this pack made me really excited to play?! although i was hoping to see zombies, the pack seems to bring a lot to explore, i'm thrilled ....!! and also i love that the thumbnail for the pack is the Especter family reunited (with daddy grim and all lol)(i dont know who the tarot card man is tho)
I believe eulogies cab be given if you have an urn in your sims inventory
I just hope the cemetery lot type is base game, like the wedding venue being added with my wedding stories, because it was basegame feature in previous games. The extra gameplay of the cemeteries can be pack only. I also hope that money can be left and not just items even if the whole household doesn't die. As cool as resurrection is I think I'll try it once then probably not again I have a realistic play style but cool for occult players.

Grim fans have been wishing for that forever! The whole game is centered around recreating sims and it was disappointing to no be able to have a kid with Grim. I do want him to stay evil though, no disney version. lol

More likely a Raven than a crow the artist kit has tons of "raven" stuff too in the art etc. There is a poem called "The Raven" by American Gothic Poet EdgarAllen Poe. One of the lines in it (very famous) is: "Quoth the Raven, Nevermore." If I recall the story/poem is about a guy who is depressed about his wifes death is visited by a talking Raven who says "Nevermore", over and over again. Similar to Marley visiting Scrooge, but it sits on a Greek statue by the door (artist kit item?) or something. The husband keeps asking questions and if he'll ever see his wife again in heaven and the bird just keeps saying Nevermore, so he thinks that the bird is evil. I was in HS when I had to read that. Kind of depressing to read, so I have forgotten most of it. The town is called Ravenwood too, with a neighborhood Crows Crossing. A group of crows is called a "murd3r" and a group of ravens is called an "unkindness"...The ONLY people I have ever known who could rock a mullet were people with super curly hair, for everyone else it just looks like "bed-head" even if they did brush it. 26:36 Look at the center left of the neighborhood screenshot. Bonehilda appears to be strutting around..... Casket sale?? Yeah, Vlad be hanging around there every day. Too macabre for me, I get nightmares really easily.
it’s a crow, was confirmed by a developer ☺️ but i deffo think they took inspo from a lot of raven and crow media
@@EnglishSimmer I am not on social media at all, I got off over a decade ago, it was too toxic then, so I won't be going back on, so I never heard them confirm it was a crow. Media? Poe died in like 1850 or something, a few years before the US CivilWar, long before modern media.

I am still missing thestill missing the colour wheel still missing the roof as it was my my happy home was have disappeared my roofers rewards nevermy update never happened can we please get to the bottom of this and find out an update everybody's game and everybody's system I've logged in logged out reinstalled it I have system checked it my game is running fine yet it's still breaks it I'm still having lots of problems yet my game is not updating it's I am not getting the rewards or any other reports I already had on my system updates and not working
its too early but this pack seems like a growing together situation for me, basegame-y and necessary for more realistic gameplay. i really wanted religion and a pastor career in an ep titled life and death tho... the blasphemy 🙄

i definitely agree with you that the cas and build/buy feel kind of uninspired. when it comes to gameplay it seems promising? but there’s no way to know if it’s actually as in depth as they’re saying , or if it’ll actually work as intended at this point in time. definitely holding out on any excitement until we see more. that being said the olive and nervous teases for sure have my attention, hoping it’s not just nostalgia bait 👀

I think that is Nervous Subject in the Portrait they show in trailer in the legacy portrait. And the Cemetery in one neighborhood is named Spector
