All you need to do to avoid recording on the left channel within audition, is... when you open a new audio track, select MONO and you will hear the audio in both sides of your headphones. Since you are recording in Stereo it naturally will send it to the left channel.
I have this interface and in Cubase software you just choose stereo input or mono input, no problem! A great interface for podcasting as you can use the built in dsp reverb etc. As for music recording its ok but I believe it’s clarity isn’t quite there and there are better interfaces in the price range and Julian Krause tests confirm this.
There seems to be a real problem with the UR22C with cut outs whilst listening to music. It seems to be a real problem with little or no remedy to sort it out. I run OS7 but Windows 10 and 11 seem to have the same problem.Anyone out there with the same problem? Anyone out there with a solution? Best regards.
You will hate most Interfaces for the very same reason. But actually, you should hate Microsoft Windows for disregarding mono inputs to be just part of a stereo signal, forcing software to pan the signal to the left or the right. After all, Mono just means one channel of audio and stereo means 2 channels of audio. But then again, any semi-professional DAW under windows will use the ASIO connection, ignoring windows altogether and giving you the choice, wether it is a mono or stereo signal.
