Level 1: make sure your damping chamber air pressure is at the max of 150psi. If you have the DNM fork this is the schrader valve on the bottom of the right fork leg. Also turn your preload all the way in (knob on top of left fork leg). Level 2: Suspension Syndicate and Charged Cycle Works sell upgraded springs for the DNM fork. Level 3: Both shops listed above carry upgraded damping shims. Charged Cycles then has a $350 tuning package for the DNM.
We believe the stock spring is a progressive 250/420 spring. So a 350 spring should work well for you. The 450 for us works but it is a little stiff. The 350 kke spring can be found on Amazon in black or red for 499. Hope this helps 😊
Thank you amigos for your very entertaining videos. So, you are upgrading to a 450lb spring from a Surron. And there are stiffer rate 550 - 600 - 650lb springs available from Luna Cycle. Are you content with your 450lb spring upgrade? What are you thoughts regarding installing a rate stiffer than the 450lb?
@@shanebaird-the-ebikecowboy Thanks, good to know regarding your weight and satisfaction. When you say bigger springs won't fit is it because the higher rate springs are longer?
Was looking at this bike but my main concern is the suspension design. If you wanted to jump it or take it to a track, it may be really tough given the single pivot design. Do you think an upgraded shock would work on this?
Yeah that is the one fault with this bike is the shock design I think most upgrade shocks if I'm not mistaken are made for a Sur Ron design. I think we're going to have to wait and see if they'll be making upgrade shock for these.
can i get the tire size for the front and rear tires? also do you need new rims and or any modifications to fit that super thick back tire? and is that front tire thinner than the stock front tire? thank you!
The front tire is a Dunlop Mx 33 it is a 70/100-19 and the back is a Shinko 244 3.00-17 For the back I am running the stick only you is a longer chain. The chain is a 420 size non or-ring 120 link length and use a chain breaker to get rid of the excess you can get this stuff on Amazon. Not the 19 inch wheel got it at charge cycle works.

You talking about the schrader valve under your right fork leg on the XXX? I believe some forks that came on the XXX actually don't have the valve. The DNM do, the KKE don't. I think.
@@ingobirzIf this is the blue knob on top of the left fork leg that is indeed a preload knob. There will not be a schrader valve under that. The left leg has a coil spring, and that knob screws in and out to push a rod down to pre-compress the fork spring. It likely works but the difference between full soft and full hard might not be that noticeable when just pushing the fork up and down.
I’d be interested in this since I’m def over 175 lb. I appreciate the cost effectiveness of this mod though. I may give it a try if I notice the suspension really lacking. thanks amigos lol
From a brand called dirty bike you can get it from American Surron. Here's the link for a front and rear fender kit and mud guard. americansurron.com/products/light-bee-fender-kit-mud-guards-black
Unfortunately not without modifying the spring so the adjustment ring of the shock has a collar on it that sticks down into the spring about half an inch. The 450 pound spring coils are thicker so the collar won't slip down into the spring. But by using a Dremel on the inside of the first coil and then grind away until the adjustment ring collar will drop down inside. Then you will be able to compress the spring a little bit and that is all you need to get the spring keeper that goes on the bottom of the shock one with the opening. Then you can slip bottom shock collar back on. Hope this helps your bottom 👍

It can't fit anything bigger than a 450lb spring but we are around 220 and it stiff enough for us.
@@shanebaird-the-ebikecowboy Thanks, good to know regarding your weight and satisfaction. When you say bigger springs won't fit is it because the higher rate springs are longer?
@@peedee4065 The 450 is a longer but the coils are thicker and there is not enough room to fit any thicker spring on there.

Do you think the bike will break if i jump it a bit? Not big or anything but still jumps?
My Dad has jumped it and it held up pretty well. Might be bit rough due to the suspension but the frame can handle it.
