    Much easier to attach the snood and hook, tie it to the swivel, put the hook on the bait clip then move the crimp up the line and then crimp it

    Hi I enjoy watching your videos. This is a random question but have you ever used a belly boat? I'm toying with the idea of using one in my local harbor (Poole) do you think that it would be good? I'd like to get my fly rod out and try for some mullet. My other option would be a inflatable kayak I'd prefer a solid plastic kayak or boat but have nowhere to store it. Cheers mate

    • @TAFishing

    Love both your and Mike's Channels.
    Recently my 2 1/2 year old grandson caught his first bass with his father. I thought he might like watching your channel ...at least for a few minutes as he is always on the GO. Much to my Surprise he Loves watching All your vids form beginning to end..!!! We now have a Tradition of watching your vids before he goes to bed when he stays with us on weekends. Always asks what Mr Graeme up to when we talk on the phone during the week!!! We love All your fishing adventures and he Especially likes your Tackle Shack and your cool new stove..he really liked when Mike had his first visit with you in the New Shack !!! He really likes when you show closeups of your catches and says he likes when you let most of your fish go " back to their friends" in the water. Whenever you catch a bass he says Mr. Graeme catches a bass just like me...!!!
    Just thought you would like to know you have a very big Young Fisherman Friend & Fan here in the USA..!!

    If on the first hook length you used a castgade swivel, the top of the rig then a pully clip down onto the castgade swivel it would be a aerodynamic casting rig. It only needs the hooks to change to make it an all round rig. I've used this for Dabs to Cod for 25yrs. I hope I haven't upset or offended you by my advice on this rig, I just hope it helps other anglers if they wanted a streamline casting rig .
    Yours faithfully Dave.

      You can slide a pice off rig tube or shrink tub over you're snood and over the swivel before you put a hook on. Now you created a boom . You can make that boom as long as you like . Mine I make mine around 5 cm /2 inch. Shorten or make you're snoods thicker avoid tangle to. Try it and see what works best . I m fishing most time with 3 snoods on this line. Good luck

    Sorry for the absolute novice question. Watch your videos all the time and am about to purchase some fishing gear and try for the first time!
    Is it 80lb for the rig body, 30lb for the hook parts that you tie on to the body? And what weight of line do you use on the reel as the “main line” or is that irrelevant now as you’ve tied on the heavier 80lb! Thanks 😊

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  4 роки тому +2

      Everyone has a variation on what breaking strains to use...best to check with your local tackle shop,or if you are fishing a rough ground area try a local club as they may fish heavier strains of everything.

    @geoffsaunderson5766 4 роки тому

    Would you really want a 2 hook flapper for bigger fish tho? It's traditionally a scratching rig. 2 specimen fish on the same line, 1 could get messy, and 2 your not enjoying the sport of either fish as the fight each other essentially. A pennel on this snoods is asking for tangles so your restricted to small baits. I don't get the logic but entertainment non the less mate.

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  4 роки тому

      I have seen knots used instead of crimps but you need to up your rig body to something like 80lb to allow for the knot reducing breaking strain of the line. Mind you crushing a crimp sleeve onto a rig body does the same thing to varying degrees.

    Hi Graeme! Love your videos, and I'm in love with your boat. Unfortunately, there are no dealers here in Canada and Im unable to find any. Just wondering if your Nova Scotian contact would know if there are small boat builders like yours or similar to yours. Thank you for any possible leads.

    TA, don't the bait get in the way when you attach the hook on to the imp?
