The TvShow plays 9 years after F4, so it plays 9 Years after Maxson took over the Brotherhood. You even see a Prydwin like Ship in the trailer. I think he is invading the West, reconnecting with the remnants of the West-BoS to take over California.

Well we don't get to see it in the trailers, it also odd that LA has that when the city is full of rads which tells me it's all NCR propaganda. The Medical University is probably vault 33 or 32 and the home to the Governments central banking system is probably that junkyard town they shown us in the trailer.
When Lucy enter the shantytown in the trailer you can see LA far in the distance. And her Vault is in Santa Monica not in the center of LA. I'm sure the Bonyard will be fine, they don't want to show everything in the first teaser.
@@K100Nukem don’t get me wrong I hope your right. That being said the whole point of a trailer even a first one is to show what to expect, the main characters, major players etc. if This takes place in new California primarily in the “Greater LA area” the NCR should play a massive role in the show in order to make sense with the established lore. The fact they don’t show even a tiny glimpse of anything NCR would be like the trailer for Return of the Jedi not including a single glimpse of anything Galactic Empire. Also I’m not so much concerned of the NCR not being in the show, as I'm worried of some massive ridiculous Bethesda game change like “the NCR fell” or “the brotherhood Defeated them”
@@lbk2436 The ncr population is around 700 000 by the time of Fallout 2. They could be like 1 or 2 millions in 2296. And it's for all of California, plus Oregon, new Mexico, and probably Nevada if they win the war in New Vegas. So I dont expect to see a lot of NCR presence in a small Shanty Town outside of the Boneyard. For comparison, the population of LA today is almost 4 millions. Plus, the boneyare is know to be a hard place to live by the time of NV, only à few years before the show.
Vault 33 is under NCR control. You can see NCR flags in some of the leaked photos. But yeah, all of California is pretty much settled and civilized as per New Vegas lore. The only thing that would make sense is if the canon ending of Lonesome road was the one where the Courier nuked the NCR. Also, the Enclave are back. I doubt the explanation for their return will be very satisfying assuming there is one.
It's possible that the areas they're showing in the trailer are parts of LA that have been taken over by desert and the NCR just never bothered to try to reclaim that area. The Brotherhood force that we're seeing could be an invasion force that is invading NCR territory. Heck, that could be who the Brotherhood is fighting in the one scene since we don't see any of their enemies.
First we don't know what is flashback and what taking place in the shows "present day" for the Ghoul shooting things up scene we have no real context in time or place, is that taking place 100 years after the bombs dropped or is it taking place on the fringes of or outside of NCR territory? One of the possible New Vegas endings for the BoS if the NCR wins has a thawing of relations between the NCR and BoS and even mentions the BoS protecting trade and travel on their stretch of the Mojave with no mention of them harassing people for tech. New Vegas constantly mentioned that the NCR was over stretching itself combine that with several years of bad harvests and food shortages the idea that the NCR would collapse or be reduced in size significantly within a 15 year period is not unreasonable. I'm gonna wait for the show before I judge the show.
Why is the Enclave back, I must've missed that in trailer? Also, I heard something that action of the show will be spread over 200 years, rather than placed in one particular time and it was the only reason I didn't have heart attack watching the trailer. Has anything changed, because I think I might be wrong somewhere?
where did you get this from? from fallout 4? It doesn't say anything about Lost Hills. At the terminal in Prydwen there is also no mention of Lost Hills, only the presence of the elders of the west coast. and they may be in another bunker
@dimkodimko6894 It would have been mentioned in FNV or FO4 is Lost Hills fell. Especially considering that they extensively used lore from Van Buren, especially for the details of the NCR Brotherhood war. Silence on the subject speaks for itself IMO.
@@LiteralCrimeRave details of the war? It’s funny, because they literally didn’t say a damn thing. it’s just that the brotherhood attacked because of a disagreement over technology, NCR pushed them out, and carried out several campaigns to destroy bunkers. this is all. neither where did these bunkers come from, nor how many are left, nor even the damn information about the gold reserve, all this is not in the game. Sawyer says about the gold reserve like some NPC mentions it, but no! this npc doesn't say that! this is such nonsense really.
Theory: Maybe the Brotherhood of steel is having a presence in LA because this guys are from the east coast in the Trailer we can see another prydwen so maybe the west coast brotherhood requested the help of the east coast brotherhood. And as for the lack of NCR presence I don't have an explanation but in some images we can see the NCR flag maybe we just have to wait for another trailer.
@@Alex-pj8nzis it in vault 33? Or is it another vault. Also Mr. House is supposed to be in the show too. Furthermore this teaser shows the brotherhood engaged with an advanced enemy via artillery fire. So its safe to say the ncr will play a role. @@codyc7036 Why would the BOS send another Prydwen class ship to the west unless they have ships to spare. That means the Prydwen wasn’t destroyed. . Also seeing that Maxson BOS is now in deep California the NCR must have been whipped by the eastern BOS. HA HA 🤣 to the NCR.
The first season will be an introduction with flashbacks, sort of like, to get the audience acquainted with the story and the background of the characters. How about instead of having major concerns for the series thats well and truly dead and you know will not be addressed, you just don't waste your time with the show whatsoever?
If the show is going to take place in 2296, the lore states a prediction of food shortages in the NCR by 2291. Based on the dates, it could be that the NCR has fallen into civil disorder or even civil war due to those predicted food shortages. Maybe the New Vegas campaign economically broke the NCR, regardless of how that campaign ended. Either would make for an interesting background, if the NCR is embroiled in an internal conflict or economic depression and would make it even darker than we already expect for Fallout. We really don't know any details, so at the moment, it's all just speculation.
Well this could explain how the BOS can enter deep NCR territory, they must have bribe NCR towns and settlements with Food and water from the East Coast delivering via airships.
That's a really good theory, and if the ncr is going through all those problems then it makes more sense that the brotherhood would have been able to use it to their advantage and regain their strength and numbers while the ncr was too busy fighting each other
But food prediction scenarios are generally impossible past such a long time, today we can hardly if at all predict accurately within a month. I highly doubt a mildly competent OSI is able to create predictions 10+ years.
The NCR controls from Oregon to Baja and Los Angeles aka the Boneyard is a major settlement so there should be way more presence and that was a leaked photo and could have been replaced.

After the objective destruction of most IPs over the last decade - I'm not even remotely interested. If they wanted to play "fast and loose" with things that have already been established, they should have just created a show "based" on the Fallout universe. See, I fixed it right there with one word. Problem is that Hollywood now is creatively bankrupt. All they do is take, repackage, and subvert: endless prequels, "reimagined" for the modern (and seemingly non-existent) audience, or just blatantly copy something (Star Trek: Into Darkness - I'm looking at you! They didn't even bother to change the dialogue in many cases). To the other comment, "Well it's just a trailer". Yeah - that's kind of the point. Those who know are thinking, "this doesn't make any sense". It's just a collection of Fallout "stuff" on film. Why are they sending this unprepared person out alone? The task or outcome must not be THAT important why risk it with someone who is clearly clueless. If the task isn't that important, why should the audience care? The point of the trailer, or any trailer, is to get you invested. There is nothing to invest in here... For people who love Fallout this is just a head-scratching moment. To people who have never been introduced to Fallout this is just generic sci-fi. So they have failed to engage the existing fans or give a compelling reason why someone not familiar with it should be interested. This isn't a teaser for something years away - this is already shot and releasing in a few months. All this tells me is, "Look - Fallout show!" and that isn't a very compelling argument.

However another defence I’m going to offer the show is one I’m pretty sure no one in this comment section will like(including myself but I already made sure my front door was reinforced so here goes) but this show maybe more for a general audience therefore they maybe being more flexible with the lore(don’t hurt me!) so that’s it’s easier to follow before they begin expanding it so that the show gets more seasons…..I’m sorry! I’m just saying what the show developers maybe going for!
The NCR is in, as others have already said. According to Tod Howard, the show will be canon, and given that Bethesda has a habit of rewriting lore (especially stuff that is mentioned but not seen) I have decided to give the TV show the same leniency as Bethesda. Maybe large parts of California are still uninhabited due to shortages of resources in the local areas that makes settling more of a burden on the NCR Maybe the BoS are active due to the canon events of New Vegas being siding with the NCR and allying with the BoS
The NCR and BOS fought the Enclave together. Five minutes later the NCR fucked over the BOS. The NCR getting help in NV doesn't mean shit to the NCR. They would most likely not care about the help in NV.
Just keep in mind that 18 years is a long time. The Brotherhood still existed with substantial power. There easily could have been a war in which the Brotherhood crushed the NCR. Afterall, the show seems to prominently display the Brotherhood. Technology is everything in war. We haven't seen everything they have. It's very possible that they built weapons or found some nukes and either used them or threatened to use them. What if another nuclear attack was launched by either an existing or unknown power?
The NCR defeated a bigger, meaner and far more plentiful and resourced heavy Western BoS in the first war with fewer overall manpower and firepower, The NCR post Hoover Dam could utterly CRUSH the Western BoS given how much they lost in the first war. Not only that only 1-3 generation of BoS could have grown since the end of the first NCR-BoS war. The BoS was chopped in half (at least) by the end of that war (this isn't just manpower, but equipment and supplies as well). The BoS, if fighting the NCR again, would barely be 85% (optimistic estimate) of their original strength prior to the NCR-BoS war while the NCR would have been 100%-200% more powerful now compared to the first war. There is no way the Western BoS could win against the full might of the NCR in a second war unless the East coast BoS comes to help, but I don't see why they would given how much they have going on back East.
I didn't know there were Cyclops in Fallout. I'd have liked to have seen the TV Series follow the Vault-Tec Rep, from the beginning of Fallout 4. As opposed to the Vault Dweller, finding out about his life. Going from a Sales Rep, to trying to survive the Bombs, as he is told he isn't able to get into Vault 111, with a spinning Mini Gun in his face, getting him to run for a place to hide from the bombs. The Bombs dropping, the people in Sanctuary turning into Ghouls, as they do in Fallout 4. Along with the Vault-Tec Rep, struggling to survive Radiation and the horrors of the Wasteland... A lot of the people in Sanctuary, from Fallout 4, eventually turned into Feral Ghouls. I'd have them all huddled in the Sanctuary Cellar, as they try to survive the bombs. Meeting the Ghoul crime boss, before the bombs dropped, and the head in the jar guy from Nuka World. Meeting Kellogg, and seeing the development of prototype Synths. Seeing Nick Valentine, the original one.
Everyone trying to make sense of this trailer from a lore stand point. It's Hollywood guys, they'll have a few references, some imagery, copy some names and aesthetics. Ultimately, they'll do their own thing because to these writers your silly video game story isn't good enough and what they'll make is better. I can't shake the feeling it will end up just like halo.
Very concerning that the settlements seem to be littered with heaps of garbage, that there’s no NCR in sight other than a random flag, and that the BoS is trying to “bring order to the wasteland” rather than pursuing their true goal (at least in the California chapters) of hoarding prewar technology.
I just hope they explain this as the East Coast brotherhood leaving the Commonwealth after Fallour 4 , and coming to aid the West, they discover the ongoing war between the Brotherhood and the NCR and since the Brotherhood's main base is near LA, it would be a very good place to he the front line of that war They could also explain the NCR weakness by having the House or Yes Man endings of F:NV being cannon & for FO:4 I think the cannon ending would have to be the peaceful minutemen ending, where the brotherhood stays alive but since the minutemen help the Commonwealth rebuild and with the Brotherhood unwanted , that would explain why they would want to leave in the first place This might be me coping but I cant see any other way for them to not break established lore
Don't freak out until you actually see the show. Trailers, literally by definition don't show everything. But then again how would you be able to have a clickbait title like that without hyperbole?
People bitching and complaining about not seeing the NCR in this trailer is wild honestly. As if it wasn't incredibly obvious that they are intentionally withholding showing that. All of California has already been settled by the NCR, as per Fallout NV lore. We've already seen an NCR flag in one of the leaked photos for Vault 33, so yes they're in the show.
I think they are around in the West Coast, in Fallout 2 I think there was a warning that the oil rig is going to self destruct so there is plenty of warning to leave and why only a single squad just stands before the final boss.
@@jormungaurd man, can you share a bit of your copium with me?
why immediately vault 33? The leaked photos also show vault 32. also, where did you see the enclave?
Lost Hills still stands. Just north of the Boneyeard and still in command of other Chapters.
NCR is confirmed to be in the show.
where did you get this from? from fallout 4?
That Flag is inside Vault 33 which is closed current so it must have open many many years ago.
Well the story is ten years after fallout 4 so something bad could of happened
@@Alex-pj8nzis it in vault 33? Or is it another vault. Also Mr. House is supposed to be in the show too.
We really don't know any details, so at the moment, it's all just speculation.
and its imaginable, that a loss of hoover dam could end the the hole ncr, since it is the primary water source for california.

West Coast Brotherhood of Steel is in conflict with New Enclave, when suddenly East Coast Brotherhood of Steel arrives with new technology and weapons. There are refugee cities of former NCR citizens that are hurt both by Brotherhood and New Enclave. When Maximus deserts BoS puts bounty on his head which The Ghoul picks up while in meantime Lucy who is tech genius reprograms few robots and escapes NE, she stumbles upon Maximus who discovered truth about entire conflict: somewhere in California is secret Vault-Tech facility Vault 0 that had prototype G.E.C.K. which can terraform entire continent and that's why BoS and NE fight eachother. Lucy belives that Vault might also contain cure to strange feral disease that Vault 33 population is struck by. So Lucy and Maximus will venture to find that secret Vault while being followed by The Ghoul.
Good points! The creators of the show are also claiming this show will fit into the cannon of the games as if it was fallout 5. 😂

@@carsonkouts I don't think you know how large the Boneyard is at this point...which is where this is taking place. NCR was confirmed by the producers of the show. There’s an NCR flag in vault 33, there’s also what looks like an index of names and groups and the list shows both the BOS and NCR in the same column.

Anyway I’m pretty sure this show will probably include the NCR….i can see a video next to yours that shows the NCR flag in the image. I don’t know loads about western fallout but I know the NCR flag is a bear with two heads.
Maybe large parts of California are still uninhabited due to shortages of resources in the local areas that makes settling more of a burden on the NCR
Maybe the BoS are active due to the canon events of New Vegas being siding with the NCR and allying with the BoS
The NCR and BOS fought the Enclave together. Five minutes later the NCR fucked over the BOS. The NCR getting help in NV doesn't mean shit to the NCR. They would most likely not care about the help in NV.
Omission from a trailer doesn't indicate it won't be in the show... lol
The NCR already beatend the BOS once, they can do it again
^^^Yup, sadly I think this is just Halo: "Try" Season 2
This will be worse than Halo, since the Fallout how is supposed to be canon to the games too.
There's NCR flags in promotional images from the show, they're gonna feature
Very concerning that the settlements seem to be littered with heaps of garbage, that there’s no NCR in sight other than a random flag, and that the BoS is trying to “bring order to the wasteland” rather than pursuing their true goal (at least in the California chapters) of hoarding prewar technology.
In the new Trailer you can shortly see a NCR Flag carried to Battle against the Brotherhood in L.A.
It still doesn't make sense they have such power and resources
I just hope they explain this as the East Coast brotherhood leaving the Commonwealth after Fallour 4 , and coming to aid the West, they discover the ongoing war between the Brotherhood and the NCR and since the Brotherhood's main base is near LA, it would be a very good place to he the front line of that war
They could also explain the NCR weakness by having the House or Yes Man endings of F:NV being cannon & for FO:4 I think the cannon ending would have to be the peaceful minutemen ending, where the brotherhood stays alive but since the minutemen help the Commonwealth rebuild and with the Brotherhood unwanted , that would explain why they would want to leave in the first place
This might be me coping but I cant see any other way for them to not break established lore
This didn't age well
