    I remember when I first entered Meridian. The sounds, music, people all overwhelmed me in the best way. I constantly return to the city even for small needs just to experience it again.

      @Robert Phillips I just barreled right in, jumping over people and on tables. I HAD to see everything. I think I've scoured every back ally and store frount there is.

    Its so fascinating to think, that so much culture came from one group of people who grew up in a cradle facility that happened to have an obsession with the seeing "the real sun", and grew up close enough to a desert, that an entire empire was built around worshipping it. It makes me think about how the inhabitants of other cradle facilities who maybe grew up fixating on something else (wanting to see real grass, the real ocean, their real parents) how could their cultures have evolved? It boggles my mind.

      Nick Obsuth Well in regards to parents, you get something like that in the Nora.

    • @grimsoncrow
      @grimsoncrow 6 років тому +27

      The Nora legends of All - Mother and the Metal Devil ,which you can hear when you first enter Mother's Crown lead me to think the kids in Cradle facilities were given a very simplified overview of what had come to pass before. The idea of Gaia may have been mixed together with the Caregiver persona AI and become the idea of All- Mother.

    I´m calling it. The guy among the people from Euleuthia 9 who said "Cmon let´s go!", after the female android told them there wasn´t enough food left and they had to leave the craddle, was probably Ariman.

      the reason that most definitely isn’t true is that by the time araman left there was already the first developements of the nora tribe. its simply impossible there was a whole tribe in the lifetime of araman

    It's amazing how rich HZD is.. from modern science to history of kingdoms.. You get the best of both worlds.

  • @addisonwelsh
    @addisonwelsh 3 роки тому +10

    Europe had Rome
    India had the Gupta's
    China had the Han Dynasty
    And HZD has the Carja.
    And I'm not just talking about their military or architectural achievements. I'm talking about how their culture has influenced the world around them. The Carja are the only clan to place emphasis on the written language, and they shared that language with the other tribes to improve trade. The Sawtooth, Thunderjaw, and Forbidden West were all named by the Carja, and those names were all adopted by the other tribes.
    Even if the Carja should fall, the mark they've left on the new world will remain for hundreds of years.

    So many cultures irl worshiped the sun in their early days. It's not that surprising that one of the first humans out of the cradle facilities would do the same.

    I just realized: (small spoiler warning) all the humans that left eleuthia were clones of those that lived in the 2060s so whoever "donated" the DNA that would birth Araman basically hit the genetic lottery when humans rose again.

    The Carja reminds me of the Roman Empire in some way and it's mythology is somewhat similar to Christianity and Islamic religions, very rich history the Carja posses, Hope to see more of the other tribes soon!

    As for suggestions, did we ever find out what happened to Dob Blevins? The kinda assohilish leader of the firebreak project, I think?
    EDIT : An episode on Firebreak project perhaps? Don't remember if the Cyan episode covered it

    • @NoxaClimaxX
      @NoxaClimaxX 6 років тому +11

      Blevins wasn't the leader of the project: he was Faro's representative, and in charge of Security.
      They explain out what happened to him in datapoints. Long story short, one of the girls from "Concrete Beach Party" pulled a prank on him while he was snowmobiling, sending him on the wrong trail. His body was recovered 15 years later.
