Like many others, we got off our first VV cruise with 3 more booked. Yes, it was that good. Interestingly, the restaurants that I had "concerns" about prior to that first cruise ended up being our favorites and some that I expected to love were "just OK." Overall, food was excellent and we were delighted to find that the atmosphere is not what we worried about. It is fun, but there is no "force" in the fun. There is a lot of innuendo, but a lot less overt sexualization than I feared. Amazing crew, And best of all....NO KIDS. That means no kids running the halls, trashing the beverage stations, pushing all the elevator buttons, etc. The woman in the restaurant said exactly what we've said--it is our "new favorite" cruise line. Great video--well done.
@@RoadWarriorRick We did not expect to love Razzle Dazzle, but we did! The buckwheat waffles and bacon at breakfast were amazing, but so were lots of other food items. I ate things I'd never heard of before that were great. I thought The Wake would be my favorite, but found the service to be slow and the filet to be dry. We found better steak and salmon at other restaurants on the ship. We loved Pink Agave, Extra Virgin, and Razzle Dazzle in particular. One interesting thing--the manager at RD was jumping in to help crew members and making sure everything was great. There were 3 managers at The Wake who appeared to be standing around--in the 2 1/2 hours our dinner took, I never saw any one of the three do anything other than stand there! That might explain the slow service.
@kathryncashner3294 I think my experience is pretty much the same in regards to restaurants. We skipped the Wake on our 1st sailing because we had heard it was the least best and did others twice
Great video Ricky! I'm so happy that this cruise review was more for yourself and not just about the cruise. Thank you for being vulnerable and open about your personal life. ❤
As someone who fits all the social norms and does not have to deal with all the shit that many do, I absolutely love this video! I cannot wait to sail Virgin in March 2024.
Have you sailed on Virgin? What were your thoughts on the cruise line?
