Been in corrections since 2017 brother, I rock Bianchi accumold gear just like you. I would switch to double cuff case and have it up front. I would recommend a cobra buckle as well instead of that tri lock buckle. Also Blauer duty belt suspenders are a game changer and they attach to your belt keepers. Makes the gear feel like it’s floating on you, no hip or back pain. Also add a Bianchi pager pouch to the front; it holds a sht ton of gloves. Also I have tried numerous different belts over the years. The 511, safe life belt. They are all not as good as that Bianchi belt brother. That 511 belt doesn’t have a lot of adjustment to it. Gl and stay safe brother

@@dustroys7239 I’ve used a double case, and was never a fan of it. Felt like it was sticking out too far. And I don’t wanna change where my handcuffs are due to muscle memory. Thanks for your input!

@@JEST3R_ yeah I get it, it is bulky, I just like having my gear up front where I can grab it with ease, I have bad mobility in my shoulders. Muscle memory is huge so I definitely understand

What handcuffs would you recommend to a lockup keeper/ booking officer? I am out of IL and work for a small department transporting prisoners to there court dates. We are allowed to carry any brand of reputable cuff just wanted a professional opinion thank you!

@@Jawsbrah4 ASP is the best set of handcuffs you can get. The ASP Ultra Plus line is their flagship set. You can get them in chain, hinge, or rigid. The only thing about the rigid cuffs is that they’re hard to keep on a belt or on your vest so I recommend the chain or hinge handcuffs. Smith & Wesson also has a very good M&P line of handcuffs. Both of those recommendations have double locks that you can actuate where you don’t need a key peerless is also a brand that’s used a lot. They have a line called the super lights where they literally feel like toy handcuffs but they’re just as strong as regular handcuffs. Those three would be my personal recommendation however you can also get a good handcuff for cheap by going to handcuff warehouse online and getting their Chicago line of cuffs. Also! All four brands sell their own full body restraints, that either use a belly chain and leg irons, or have a chain that connect the cuffs to the leg irons themselves. Also something to have, assuming your department doesn’t have plenty of those sitting around. Hope this helps!!

What's your opinion on COs not carrying firearms? I understand the weapon retention part of it, but what about situations where someone has a deadly weapon or someone is at risk of dying? Is there an armory somewhere in the jail?

@@bigvert not in mine, if we’re ever in a situation where something like that happens, we pull a deputy to assist the CO’s
