I was at that concert...my best friend Sherri and I rode the bus downtown to the HIC from Pearl City Naval Housing area...it was the first concert we'd ever been to...we were 13 years old and we were in Heaven...still have my ticket stub, which is brown and very dinky and it's been in my jewelry case since that night. Great memories and have seen The Stones many times since that night!

Thanks for sharing such a fantastic memory. I thought seeing Zeppelin in the Kingdome '77 at age 14 was cool.

Hi, Gary...I just ran across my post when a video of the Stones performing in 1966 at the HIC (Honolulu Int'l Center) popped up on my phone and saw your post...so, sorry it took 6 months to respond - lol! I've been to countless concerts since that time, including the Stones every single time they came to the Bay Area, but never had the pleasure of seeing Led Zeppelin perform...you must have been just as thrilled to see them as I was to see the Stones, at our tender ages...surprised my parents let me go...life is wonderful! There's nothing like your very first concert, though, and feeling the live music drive right through your body...the best memories 😊 p@@garybrines9181

This is a great concert so many great songs and they weren’t mailing it in like they’ve done in some concerts. I’ve heard. This brings back great memories of the summer of 1966 when so many of these songs were being played on my local AM radio stations KRLA and KHJ Los Angeles.

I was talking about music, the Stones had a major blues foundation, eventually Pop, Reggea, Rythm and Blues too, so it's not "only rock and roll".
Robert Johnson played alone with his guitar and composed Stop Breaking Down and Love in Vain.

Saw them same month in Portland Oregon. 3rd row center tickets were $4.50. Newspaper said they got $17,000 for the show, fwiw. Brian used a detuned Rickenbacker for sitar sound of Paint It Black". Superb concert when they were at their peak. Opening bands not bad either: The McCoys (Hang on Sloopy) & Standels (Dirty Water)

Horrific audio quality. I saw them one year later on stage, in Warsaw, Poland, that was in early September 1967. They played for over an hour! I did my own recording of the concert fropm the 4th row with my Japanese stereo casette deck using a stereo mic, which was a rather novel field recording technology back then. Tape has now been lost.

without benefit of overdubbing. Stopping and starting, and a producer who can arrange And seriously play,
just the beatles and the stones
      the stones could Play.
in the beatles only Ringo and Paul could sort of do that for more than 5 minutes.
      girls screaming
is the lamest excuse imaginable .
