Hi Al Glad to see more videos. I agree with the comment above for the fuel line. But more for heat. I don’t know if DFW gets hot but carbureted cars have a possibility of vapor lock in the hose if it gets too hot under the hood. The hose initially insulates the fuel from heat but when the fuel finally gets hot, the hose now serves as a thermal barrier in retaining high temperatures. I like how Vaughn is still called the kid. Hope to see him in some videos. And sorry to hear about the Bentley. The three steps forward and two back situation keeps kicking us. Quite irritating how parts fail just from sitting.
Thanks, DFW can be unbearably hot and I've seen 110 degree weather daily for more than a month in a row. This car won't be driven then 🙂. Vaughn is a great kid and brilliant mechanic. I'm sure that I'll be roping him into something soon.
Rubber fuel line with hose clamps between fuel pump and carburetor is a no - no. Eventually will deteriorate because of heat and start to leak, better off with original metal line.
Thanks, that's a very valid point and I'll get that figured out. I need to put my eyes on the original setup. Right now, it does have a brand new FI rated hose and clamps.
