Former air traffic controller here. There are two different aircraft registrations on the plane. The ‘N’ is the USA registration and the ‘XA’ under the wing is Mexican registry so it’s probably parts of planes stuck up there for some reason
It's a hunter's tree stand. They got creative. N7496E, 1959 Cessna 210, Last flight December 1999. XA-JUV, 1958 Boeing 247D, Last flight May 5, 1952 (crashed and destroyed in Mexico City)
FYI..From someone who's walked through a lot of woods. When you start out, get yourself a long skinny branch about 3 feet or so, you can wave it through the webs in front of you as you go.
That plane must be a track feature. There's a gap between the wing root, and fuselage, so I'm guessing the plane was disassembled, put on a trailer, and hauled out to the track. one of those small craned would've been used to lift the fuselage into the tree, and then the wings were attached. Pretty cool find. Thanks for sharing. :)
As an ex pilot, I can safely say that there is NO WAY that plane could have landed in that tree without being a LOT more busted up than it was. A 2 ton plane hitting trees at 80 - 100mph would virtually destroy it. The first thing to get ripped off would be the wings and elevators. Also, no landing gear and 2x registration numbers? A dummy hanging out of the door would definitely freak people out. A really cool find though, definitely an eye catcher.
Interesting. Can't find an accident report with the NTSB with that N number. Bird was built in 1959 and and the last recorded event was a sale of this aircraft in 1999.

It stopped dead at the end of the runway in a huge Maple tree grove without crashing severely. The occupants were retrieved w/o injury. I kind of wish they left the plane there to create more curiosity, but I know the people were just grateful to be alive.
That tree is shaped like the perfect slingshot. Like out of a Looney Tunes episode, hook up a winch and pull that puppy back. Then hop in the plane and cut the cable! She’ll be back in the air in no time!
It's not a plane, but rather an assembly of pieces of different airplanes. It was definitely placed there on purpose. FWIW. Looks like the wings came from Mexico, and parts of the fuselage could be an old Cessna 210.
It was either airlifted of craned in there to be a curiosity. If was an actual crash, there would have been WAY more damage to the aircraft and the forest area. The N number (if accurate) was cancelled back in 2013.
Well they bent the prop pretty good , so it suffered damage while the engine was on. It's very unusual to have a Mexican registration under the wing as well. It's clearly not an XA-JUV aircraft. The US registration fits the Cessna 210 we see on searches.
@@Fcreceptor My guess is the airplane suffered a prop strike and needed an engine rebuild, but the owner decided it wasn't worth it. The Mexican registration is the same as a Boeing 247D that crashed so maybe they put it on there as a sort of memorial. Maybe a family member was involved.

1.) The plane started to have problems but could n ot make it to land on the off-road track. 2.) The plane was forced down due to weather. 3.) The plane ditched in trees directly over a road so the cargo could be hauled out directly by multiple vehicles (trucks, atv's, etc) 4.) Any combination of the 3 above.

Well Chris, at least your car came with a spare. I found out the hard way Kia's don't put spares in their cars. Color me confused. Anywho, love the plane in the tree. I'm curious as to who and why.
I had a neighbor many years pulled a prank on a friend. They were both pilots. While pilot one was on vacation, pilot two and some friends disassembled a plane and reassembled it in pilot one's entryway into his house so it looked like the plane crashed like that. They can be taken apart and put together easily by people who know what they are doing.
Placed there as a prop for a movie? There's something not quite right about it, the tail doesn't look real. The spinner and prop are connected to the plane with a long, thin shaft. Proportions seem off. Seems like a cobbled together prop for a movie or TV show.
I’m betting on an abandoned movie prop. It would be rare for a metal propeller to break both blades off that short. The missing wing root fairings would indicate a non-airworthy status. Then there is the odd apparatus on the tail cone that looks like some kind of smoke generator or pyrotechnic, certainly nothing original to the aircraft. Finally, the conflicting US and Mexican registrations numbers. The prop supervisor probably said that piece of tin isn’t worth the cost to get it out of the trees and haul it off. I’d bet all the instruments and avionics were stripped before it was put in the tree.
I think you might be correct. I noticed that gizmo on the tail and thought...well, that ain't right! BTW, I am a pilot and without a doubt, that plane was PLACED there,, not crashed!

I'll bet this is someone's property and they retired an old plane or this is some kind of hiking/dirt bike trail or something like that- EDIT: I was right!

So you're in Vancouver B.C. and you found the Eaglerock Bullet aircraft built in Denver Colorado, 1935. Congratulations !!! I've been searching for that plane since 1979. Well done!
It sounds like the hole in the rim where the valve stem pushes through may be bending the valve stem pinching it and causing it to go flat, or the rim is pulling on the valve stem of the tire, causing it to lose air. One way or another, it could be some kind of combination of all of the above I explained. I had this very same issue many years ago. It's worth checking out.
Good luck with your tire ! Remarkable landing , if that was the case. Couldn't have found a better spot to bring the plane down ! It's an official landmark now !

Havent you ever seen tree cars? Same idea but with a plane. Its art. Growing up in the PNW i know several farms in WA and OR that have cars placed in oak trees on purpose for people driving by to look at and have a moment of wonder
FAA registry listing for N7496E shows a Cessna 210. This plane is not a 210. It looks like a Cessna 140. Also take note of the foreign registration - XA-JUV - under the left wing. Registrations beginning with 'XA' are from Mexico. This leads me to believe it's a "parts"plane. Why was it done, and why is it there? Who knows.
@@dwightmagnuson4298 That is true. But the 210 is also larger than the 140. It's possible the plane in the tree is an early model C-172 - I can't quite tell from the angles it's shown at - but it's certainly not a 210. The rear side-windows of a 210 are much larger than that of the 140.

Maybe people don’t know…and don’t call me Shirley.
Cool 🆒 Tree 🌳 House 🏡 ❤
Plugged tires can be dangerous. It is best to take it to a shop and have it patched soon after it is plugged. Get it patched properly. And don't use that fix-a-flat stuff unless you're really in an emergency, like out in the desert without enough water.
Very cool. Not as cool as your vandelay industries shirt, though.
Whoa! Awesome find!
Stay safe Chris enjoy your videos
Cool Art Piece! Burning Man Style
Every state I have been in the woods in. I have found spiders. Spiders live everywhere. LMFAO
I thought that was one of those huge RC planes. I was going to say that thing is worth a pretty penny to the right person.
Havent you ever seen tree cars? Same idea but with a plane. Its art.
Growing up in the PNW i know several farms in WA and OR that have cars placed in oak trees on purpose for people driving by to look at and have a moment of wonder
Clearly you are trespassing.
Great find it's different , but to come across a road which leads up to the plane is a bonus.
Who knows.
When it was delisted it had a Continental IO-470 under the hood. That's a 6-cylinder engine. A C-140 had a 4-cylinder engine.
N7496E, 1959 Cessna 210, Last flight December 1999.
XA-JUV, 1958 Boeing 247D, Last flight May 5, 1952 (crashed and destroyed in Mexico City)
🕷🕷 yikes ! Cool plane. Hate spiders. Good luck with the tires. 🕷🕷
Should have brought a saw! Start scrapping it out!
The engine parts are worth a lot.
Plane engines ain't worth a crap if they take a blow to the prop like that one did, tweeks the crankshaft.
Try a double plug on that tire.
& with the plane I think you found a Pablo Escobar hiding place lol.
Pick up some Tireject, that stuff works great, and unlike the green stuff, it is washable with water, and it doesn't pi$$ off the tire shop.
