First ever 49ers game. From NE Ohio and wrote a letter to Debartolo Jr (who was born in Youngstown) when I was a kid. He gave me free tickets to this game. Parents flew me out to SF. Probably Jerry Rice’s best statistical game in his career. The golden age of sports lol with Jordan, the Niners, and Pete Sampras lol.
Youngstown born & raised,go back every year or so to see the relatives.I remember one foggy morning on my way to Pittsburg airport,, I believe Eddie had an office or something outside of town w/ a huge Inner helmet in front of the building. All Bundy Eddie & a couple great boxers came out of the area.
I had a really good Fantasy Football team in 1995. I was defending champion, and had a great shot in the Championship game. Going into this MNF matchup, I had a 31 point lead. My opponent had one player going. Jerry Rice. And this happens. LOL what a crappy night for my Vikings and for my Fantasy team.
9:25 Cool to see Steve Young and Warren Moon embracing. Two unlikely Hall of Famers, Nothing came cheap for those two guys. One guy from the USFL trying to replace Montana and the other guy from the CFL trying to beat racial stereotypes.
Wow I remember when Korey Stringer passed away. I just googled him and I can't believe that was 2001. I remember it like yesterday. Time is moving so fast.

With no effective running game, Steve Young and Jerry Rice had to play out of their minds each week in order for these 49ers to remain championship contenders!
@Jonathan Dee The One And Only Whats worse is Curtis Martin and TD were in that '95 draft!!! And we moved up, and traded picks for............JJ FREAKING Stokes!!!
Made up nonsense. Internet fans have been making up non-existent 40 yard dash times for players for years. They especially love doing this for pre-1999 players, when there was no electronic timing and there were no official 40-yard-dash times (players ran several different 40s at workouts, and several different scouts clocked them all over the place).
@Steve Kovaleski People always talk about teams beating up on each other in the playoffs to the benefit of whoever the winner plays. But I don't think that's reality. I've seen many times teams that still competed at a high level and win in the postseason after surviving a tough game the week before.
I've seen a lot of great running backs for the 49ers. Roger Craig Ricky Watters Garrison Heart Frank Gore Christian McCaffrey. The 1995 team could not run the ball to save their life. If any of those backs in their prime lined up behind Steve Young as opposed to sorry ass Derek Loville, the season would have been different and Young wouldn't have had so many concussions.

Jerry Rice was unstoppable!
14 receptions
289 yards
3 touchdowns
Unreal!
Unconscous, take away that fumble & it was a perfect performanc
Warren Moon vs. Steve Young, great game- total classic
Boy Jerry made up for that fumble & Rickey Jackson balled out too.
I missed the days when MNF was on ABC (it was free to watch).
This was the first game I ever went to!

I was there! Amazing game by Rice
This was week 16, during fantasy football championships. 60 points in PPR!

Holy crap!
Another award although it’s not a big thing the 1996 Pro MVP. Back when game meant something. The man played hard in a exhibition game
Some Hall of Famers on that field. At least 7?
Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Bryant Young, Ricky Jackson, Warren Moon, Chris Carter, and maybe John Randle?
@@MiguelJimenez-uc3yz Randall McDaniel
With no effective running game, Steve Young and Jerry Rice had to play out of their minds each week in order for these 49ers to remain championship contenders!
And a few weeks later the packers exploited that weak running game
Pete Carroll running his patented soft zone defense
Rickey Jackson is known for his time with the saints.....and deservedly so but he put in some serious work in SF for a few years.
I remember this game as a kid
Best receiver ever !!
Best football player to me
RIP Orlando Thomas 0:37
289 receiving yards and 3 touchdown receptions for No.80
Just another day at the office for the Goat!
Jesus Christ we couldn't even have a scoreboard even by 1995? SMH
if you mean on-screen during the game, I THINK FOX ws the only network with that luxury back then.
Danny Eyheralde And ESPN.
Lol & remember people kept up with stats mainly via Newspaper.
Monday night classic
49ers had a well oiled machine of an offence back then
Warren with those warp speed reads!
San Fran had some hot garbage for running backs in '95
No shit, it was fumble city y'all
@Jonathan Dee The One And Only Whats worse is Curtis Martin and TD were in that '95 draft!!! And we moved up, and traded picks for............JJ FREAKING Stokes!!!
@Jonathan Dee The One And Only Stokes wasn't a Bust. Rashaun Woods was a Bust.
Big facts bro it’s what was missing from them being able to repeat
How in the hell does a wide receiver get so wide open play after play?
Mainly cos of the threat Young is with his legs, at times it looked like he was gonna take off.
Carter 80 always did his thing!
All he dis was catch tds
Rarely given the credit but him & Michael Irvin were great too.
@8:48 am I hearing things or is that Steve Young saying “ooooooooh shit”? I think it is cuz Al Michaels starts laughing about it
My favorite non s.b winning team.
Can you do the game where Ponder led them to a win in2012?
Stay tuned!
Why would you post a loss 😢
How much yardage did Jerry Rice have in this game? 200?
289.
He had over 1800 just that year, super athlete
Man if Rice didn't fumble he would have had 300 yds Receiving in that Game OMG !!!!!
Rice only ran a 4.71 forty but still was able to beat the fastest cornerbacks ever for tds in D Green and Deion Sanders.
With pads he ran the same, if not faster.
Game speed is different

@@handsomedevil254 There is no such thing as "game speed." The fastest guys in pads are exactly the same as the fastest guys on a track.
@@puckutubesux7356 your made up nonsense comment google search rices time see what you get.
Man, Moon got murdered this game. Typical MN Vikings offensive line
Given the exposure of head injury in the NFL, it's easy to see why they got rid of the helmets bashing into each other
Was Jerry Rice good in the NFL? You bet. But you should have seen him on my backyard football team. Completely different stratosphere.
If Dexter Carter played for Kyle he would be a star, he's tailor made for this current 9er roster
Carter could have been a star then if he didn't fumble so much.
I'm with Sophia. #Niners
Damn, she had to b 60 there too. What a babe!
This is wheny saints use to give san fran a run fa they money the ild nfc West

What a sloppy game, a bad omen for the Niners as they found out next week and two weeks after that.
Exactly. That loss in Atl cost them a SB imo.
