This helped me a bunch. Had never done this before and no idea how to do it. Once I got the old rotten spline out it was a breeze with this tool to get the new spline in place. Also good idea about taping the screen frame down. Glad I did that as it would have like slid all over the place.

Are there no videos of how to keep the screen STRAIGHT while rolling the spline in? I've seen many badly aligned screens, loose or wavy and the screen looking like a Moire pattern when viewed at various angles. I've also seen a FEW correctly aligned ones. How does one keep the screen straight while rolling the spline in? That's what I want to know.

If you FIX a Square on a table and also use a center aluminum bar will be ALL you need to get it as you want. GL !

What has helped me is to lay out the screen on top the frame, cut 2 small pieces of spline (1” ea) for *each* side, & press in 2 on each side to tack it in place evenly. Then as you roll the spline in just lift out the tack pieces. Works great.

How about an install video from start to finish. Really, I have the time.

Have you all even tried to unwrap one of these rolls of screen? The shrink wrap really🤷🏻‍♀️ and you can’t even slide it off when you get it kind of open because it’s tucked in part of the screen roll… It’s taking longer to get into the damn thing then it would be to put the screen on🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
