Amazing video thanks for sharing. Had the panel made from original location. $110 CDN dollars. Would have been $360 for them to come and remove and install. Did it myself for the $110 total. This video helped a lot thank you.
Thanks for the video. Any tips or things to keep an eye on for glass replacement of a 6’ x 6’ picture window that’s 17 years old and in a windy corner of the house? Obviously I’d wait for a day with no wind.
It would've been nice if you showed the glazing beads cuts, because one side end of the gb is cut straight and other is cut 45 angle, also when installing the glazing beads they go in a certain way to fit properly. And on the bottom of the frame there are 2 rubber plates a few inches away from the bottom corners to rest the botton of the glass on each plate which will allow the glass to be vertically top and bottom evenly spaced then you can square the glass by holding it as you did to rest on the double glazing tape. Otherwise it's a great video...
You gotta do both. There is a insulated gas that is put inside the pieces the glass, and it escaped as soon as it's cracked. Plus, the removal/install is going to be easier.
Thank you for explaining this. You make it look easy and simple. I always thought that repairs would be more complicated than what they really were.
You are still helping people a year later. Thanks for the video!
We broke a new window during our build near completion. This will be WAY easier than swapping the whole frame. Thank you!

Awesome to hear, thanks for the reply
Good video. Suggest using putty knife or glazing tool on inside of window first, then removing outside glazing
Thank you very much. Very helpful!! I will try it!

Helpful I have 2 questions how thick should the double sided sealant tape be? and why not use silicone?
You can use silicone.
Thank you great help
I can't find that double sided seal tape anywhere. Could you post a link? Thanks!
Ty, that helped.

Thank you. Just what I needed!
When doing a double pane do you have to replace both pieces of glass or can you get away with just replacing the one piece that’s broken?
You gotta do both. There is a insulated gas that is put inside the pieces the glass, and it escaped as soon as it's cracked. Plus, the removal/install is going to be easier.
It should come as two panes already sealed together as one unit...
