fribiesdi maybe you could watch this, this isn't a pitch perfect rendition of the song but it's a pure gutteral version that shows his ability in his range of going from basically talking all the way up to a pretty frightening scream (another thing i didn't mention, only these 2 guys seem to be able to scream in key..) This performance is incredible, how much attitude ROCK N ROLL! The despair mixed with the pleasure of singing this song is etched on Matt's face ... well in the style of music. And that powerful high note !!!
Muse are one of those few and rare authentic bands that dont stay stagnant with their music, they always said they had different faces to the band, they are not just one thing, i love all their albums, even if they go electronic as their new CD is rumored to be ill love them cuz their are geniuses in what they do and how they do it, so MUse rocks!!!
I like the jittery way he plays it here. I overall really like the performances in which the song forces itself on the band and makes Matt get all tangled in his guitar playing. Nice destructive ending too :)
This is my fav muse song of all time. Regardless of what all the new "jump on the bandwagon" fans believe, early muse was the best. Showbiz is such an amazing album, and this is the best song from it! I saw them play this song live at Manchester Arena as well! Took my breath away!

Yeah dude I think it's a masterpiece. I think I like every single song on it. You see a lot of people who hate it and want to hear their old style, but then they have no room to improve. Muse wants to get better and better and, in my opinion, they are. With every album.
You can really tell why they named the album 'Showbiz' form this song. Show business is when emotions and ideas are unleashed to the world - They probably thought of their first album as their chance to finally break free and express their ideas.

Showbiz was a brilliant introduction and OoS was their magnum opus then I think Matt got it in his head he wanted to be a super star, I also read an article back around the time of Absolution that he wanted to make dance music. At the time I was intrigued and thought Muse could do no wrong... How wrong I was.

Muse are by far my favourite band, I like anything they do, the old stuff was brilliant, especially Origin and Absolution, but I can accept them changing it a bit and trying new things to mix it up a bit and have some variation, like I also love Resistance and Black Holes has some awesome tunes. If they stayed with the same sound people would be saying "oh they need to change their sound, everything just sounds the same"

I agree that they will be remembered for their new stuff more than the old, because BH&R was more commercial and hence more popular. However it is rather depressing because the old sound was much better, both musically and atmospheric-ly =P Although its great to see muse doing well, Id like the new fans to listen to the old songs. Cos most of the time u ask someone if they like muse they go "yeah supermassive black hole is awesome" but they dont have a clue about any other material!
