In the movie, the guy who first said Fuck off Ray, was supposed to be Tom Baker. Tom Baker a friend (if you want to call him that) of Jim's in real life. Tom was just a skeezy clinger on who tried to mooch as much as could off of Jim's fame.
Because the rest were sycophants who were yes-manning to Jim for the ride. Ray was the one who had Jim's best interests at heart. They weren't about to let Ray stop their fun.
Boy. What a great party ya know? Acid, weed, booze, blackened duck, raw meat flinging, steak knife murder attempt. Later on he burns the house down with freshly heroin injected Pam locked in the closet. Then the Wicca ritual or whatever with his brunette girlfriend who he proceeds to drill right up the ass! It's no small wonder he didn't end up in prison for life. Completely out of control!!! If he would've just did the 6 months in the work house instead of skipping off to Paris? It might have been a good thing for him. He would've lived longer. He could've used some hard labor and some clarity. The movie is cool but very aggravating at the same time.

The doors movie makes Morrison sound like a jerk and make the doors seem like a mad band. I can assure you this isn’t how the doors carried themselves.
This was a joyless bummer of a movie. Jim was portrayed as an insufferable prick and everyone else as a reflection, lesser lights, dimly shining only when Jim was around.
