Little tech tip I leave the very top bolt on the diff cover leave it a little loose so you can slowly pry it open from the bottom and it doesn’t pop off the cover violently and throw gear oil everywhere 🤘🏻😂
Leave 2 bolts in at 5-7 o'clock about 2 turn loose.

I had a mechanic tell me to never reuse a bearing race. He said that even if you can't see it the race is worn in with the previous bearing and putting a new bearing on it may lead to the new bearing failing as its rollers try to conform to the old worn bearings path on the used race.
But you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes and I've had it turn out both ways. One bearing will be just fine and the next one will start clickety-clacking like a train going down the tracks.

Looks great, I think I’d like to lower my SVO at some point. But my Cobra wheels with 275/40/17’s already rub on the rear. Yes sir, I’ve already rolled the rear wheel openings. I bought the tool for rolling the wheel openings, instead of using the ball bat trick. My car rubs more on the passenger side, than the driver’s side. I’ve put all new bushings in all the control arms. Maybe we didn’t have it perfectly aligned when we tighten everything up. It drives straight, and launches straight when it hooks, which is rarely with street tires. lol 😂!!

I always go back and recheck everything when i do a gear swap .. more times than once the rotating torque on the pinion gear will loosen up after i let it run for maybe 10 min on the lift .. once i torque the pinion nu a tad bit more it thrown my backlash out of wack and i gotta go back and redo that again too .
Really like those saleen reps might get those for my 90 lx

I have the old school Mark VII 5 lug swap with the same longer snout. Was wanting to do Saleens as well, what size were those spacers you had to fit the center caps?
Machine shop can trim those rotors on their lathe.

About to do this install on mine soon. Just curious why they didn't go from drums to discs on the rear? Thanks for all the shit I learn from you guys!
Thanks brother! Remember this was a budget 5 lug swap. And from our experience the difference between rear disc and drums isn’t worth the extra money.
