Yesss I love this! The Longitude is one of my favorite birds; I fly it regularly in my home simulator setup and am always on the hunt for real world cockpit videos of this awesome plane.
Get ready. WT should have their longitude out in MSFS by the end of the year. And it will only get better throughout next year. Super excited to finally have a working high fidelity longitude.
I loved switching between the forward facing cockpit shots and the views out over the wing, really gives you the sense of how fast the plane is really going!
love these videos please keep them coming. Im currently in my first flying job as a diver driver and I love to watch your videos in my free time. Thank you for sharing your adventures in such a beautiful aircraft.
Nice video! I’m a real CJ3 Captain and i’m a Flight Simulator addicted, so good to see the real bird flying, i’m used to fly the Longitude on MS flight simulator, i build some throttle levers with AT/TOGA buttons and realy enjoy it. Today, for coincidence the N715VM (G550) is in my home town. Safe flights Captain!🙌🏻🙏🏻
Someday when I am uber wealthy I am going to secure you as my private pilot with a plane that can fly from Kona to SLC to ski Alta … my old beloved 70’s mountain. Mt Superior was my church and skiing the Baldy Shuts back then was a huge adventure! Warmest Alohas to you!
Looking to buy an upgrade pack for MSFS to get this Logitude. I subbedto check out the avionics. Could you please do some videos detailing cold and dark?
Absolutely stunning approach! I was wondering if you had ever flown into KEWK? Thats where i do my training out of and i know that you did some work just a little bit south of there in Wichita. Just curious about that but keep up the sweet videos!
It's the autopilot barometric altitude setting. You can set an altitude and let the autopilot climb/descend to it (by pressing the VS button and dialing in a vertical speed). When the set altitude is reached the autopilot will hold it (the VS light will switch to the ALT light). When you disable autopilot and you cross the set height it will flash yellow. This is Garmin glass cockpit functionality and not exclusive to this plane (for example, the Daher TBM 930 has identical functionality). PS: I'm not a pilot, I fly this plane in MSFS 2020 ;-)
What would be an ideal VS at touchdown in a Longitude, say on a good weather, 5kt headwind, runway is long enough? Is 200 or 250 fpm considered a hard landing? Also, could you do a walkaround video on your next flight? Would be awesome! Thanks.
Great idea for the walk around of the airplane! As far as touchdown, I honestly don't pay attention to the actual fpm number. I know the test pilots measure in fps for landings when they do testing, but I'm not sure what they qualify a "hard" landing or not.
Hi I watched your video "A day in the life of a corporate pilot! Citation Longitude | Vegas - Heber City". I loved your video (I am now a subscriber) and also Love the Citation Longitude. It is my favorite plane in MSFS 2020, but I can't find any info on the v-speeds. Would you be so kind as to give me the V-Speeds for this beautiful beast so that I can make my experience in MSFS 2020 more realistic?
Definitely! I love hearing from people that fly the airplane on MSFS! V1, and Vr are generally between about 115, and 125, with a max weight takeoff having rotate speed of 127. Landing Vref is similar speeds, with a max weight landing ref of about 125.
"I would like to inquire a Citation Longitude pilot whether the aircraft can fly up to six to seven hours at its longest during long-distance flights, and if its long-range cruising speed is indeed 0.74 Mach."
What!!!! I wanted to see your landing into Heber.... pop'd back to Vegas landing?
It’s cool to watch a video on an aircraft that I personally had a hand in building!!

No music next time please. Would love to hear the natural sounds of the flight deck.
Thanks so much for the feedback! I will make sure to post some vids that just have the awesome sounds of flying!

Thanks for taking us along on the ride. I loved the Heber approach.

Thanks for watching and the kind words, I appreciate it! Good luck with the flying adventure, I hope we cross paths some day!
It is my no. 1 airplane at the moment in preparation for IFR flights on VATSIM. Very nice to compare it here with the real thing!

i build these for a living so awesome to see the in the air!

this thing skyrockets jesus christ
Nice! Congrats on the career! Working on my transition now.
There's so much I wanna learn about this plane/ wadda plane!!!
Thanks! Looking forward to making a better video about it!
Do you have any videos with a RNAV approach? Great Flying !
Great Video, but why cut out the first landing!?
I’m super jealous…great video.👍
My favorite plane
Nice video. I used to be based in Heber.
What happened to the landing at Heber?
Are you still working at Thrive in Jan 2023? Had an interview with Stuart last week
Nice video thanks. Did you land visually and manually in Heber? Too bad we did not get to watch that touchdown.
over 7000 FPM on that initial climb wow!
you have to add camera so that we see evrithing at different vues

Loved the music selection...very relaxing while watching. Great videos, New Sub
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
Do you still fly the longitude? With the new msfs version it would be awesome to have some more footage available
when your not using the flight director command bars turn it off , can be confusing ....
Awesome job and there’s not many UA-cam videos of the Longitude so instantly subscribed 👍 thanks Chris
Thanks very much! I will bring you some sweet longitude content!

I have been in there when I was doing my training at K State, but I haven't taken the jet in there yet!
Awesome landing! What is the bold number on top of the altimeter? It starts to flash before and after that number.

Have I missed the landing in Heber City?
Can this jet fly from london to nyc directly nonstop?
Beautiful plane. What is the range at high speed cruise?
How often and for how long are away from home as a corporate pilot?

Yes indeed. She is pretty! For almost $30 million, she should be. Thanks for the ride guys.
I'm curious, what are the two little red balls on the center strut? They are just underneath the handle. Are they warning lights or something else?
This is a visual indicator for the correct seat hight. If you see the spheres in line, your seat hight is correct. BTW it are actually 3 spheres.
@pilot potts any chance we can get a picture of your checklist? That would be sweet for fs2020
WTF 7:06 ?!?!?!
Airspeed 120 and dropping rapidly? Kinda weird. What’s Vref?
is this msfs?
The whole time I’m just wondering….. what socks is he wearing….. oh, yeah… nice bird 😎.

What happened to the content? Are you still flying?
There aren’t that many longitudes out there?
Please no music that’s so bad with music ;)
Thanks for the feedback! I personally like the music, but I'll make sure it's not distracting from the content!
What kind of navigational suits r we working with in this jet
This is a Garmin G5000
Better without music and let us hear the real airplane sounds - that's why we watch those videos to get the feeling of the aircraft, thanks
Is the Cessna citation longitude single pilot certified
No, it's not. We need 2 pilots to fly it
i mean, i guess 60 is cold for vegas
"I would like to inquire a Citation Longitude pilot whether the aircraft can fly up to six to seven hours at its longest during long-distance flights, and if its long-range cruising speed is indeed 0.74 Mach."
Who are you flying (:
Climbs like a rocket
Definitely! She is a rocket ship
This video had so much potential, then the music started.
Omg Mike! You look so good in this video 👀
Oh i know.
Dude the editing, remove all the effects and you have entertaining video 👍
Don't need the music ; )
Music ruined it for me oh well
