Fords in general have something going for them like no other American muscle which makes them oof so cool to listen to. Few things beats a screaming mopar or LS tho, but they are all in a class of their own and I love them all :D
Nice, My uncle managed to build one of these to drive to the track and still run a 10 flat on the street legal tires he drove in on. Ran 10.5 with a 5.0 and ran 9 flat with a Turbo/nitrous 347. All driven to the track, all street tires and all poor traction. All idle at the street light without quitin from loss of idle compression. I like Chevys, he wont touch an Lsx. Still loves the old carbed mustangs.
I am surprised that Integra was almost right there. That notchback sounds so good though. You can't beat it. I was thinking of stoking my 289 to 331 or maybe 347. Not sure yet. A mild rebuild is about 3k. That will only get me 330hp or so. A 347 rebuild will be 6k if I want big power and reliability/longevity.
If you are on a budget I started out with NX 100 shot on mostly stock 5.0. Then built a 347 with afr 185 ect. Still have NX kit with port injection. Its all fun!😎
thetoothmaster1, you build it right with forged parts and clearance your bearings correctly. Nice pass, you would have even better time if you went automatic with a trans brake and 2-step.
HI @THRSTANG MY 93 FOX IS A FULL BODY CAR AND A/C I GOT A S TRIM WITH 14PSI OR 15 PSI TF HEADS CAM .530 LIFT FORGE ALL OUT FORD 9 INCH AND 50 POUND INJ 373g DO YOU NO IF THAT CAN GET IN THE HI 10s low 11s
When I Google 347 stroker...kits come up claiming 400hp. I know the notch is light, but not that light. 10 seconds would probably take over 600 hp. What am I missing about the 347... cause this clearly states na.
@THRstang You said that the only reason the import cought you is because you hit the brakes after crossing the finish line. You can clearly hear the engine of your mustang gaining rpms, and you can clearly see the import sucking you up at the end. You are lucky this was a 1/8 mile race, or he would have blown your doors off.
@THRstang oh beautiful, i wish, im just running a t5 with a tremec gear set with carbon fibre internals, 28 spline output with hardend input shafts, it works for now, but im going with more power soon and the t5 i got built is already stressing, i need to build something new, what would you recommend, do you like the liberty trans?
what cam is in this. do you know the specs? i have a 347 solid roller stang i just built, in the old chassis it ran 10.50 at 128 on drs. new chassis is lighter and im running a 456 gear now, last was 430 and the motor was labouring too much for the first 150-200feet, so far on shifts its been to 7500 no higher cause im not to sure where the cam will work to. and running a c4, but yeah cam specs please if you have them. and what size heads ?
@ THRstang man im building a 347 stroker with 750dp holley & hi rise mani & want an exact same cam as the one in this video! around how much am I looking @? HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED MAN & ALSO WHAT EXHAUST YOU RUNIING??? SOUNDS MEAN AND OBNOXIOUS LIKE I WANT MY 88 NOTCH
@THRstang No disrespect to american muscle but they are fast and very fun to drive im actually buying a 88 fox next week but you cant underestimate a civic. Man my boy's "half engine" hatch is gutted and has a k20/k24 swap in it. Trust me when i say that he will smoke almost any car at the strip AND at the TRACK. Its just to well tunned but dont get me wrong i love american muscle ;)
first of all the mustang never slowed down if u watch the video again u will see that and a well turbo built integra that catches up to a all motor mustang is not a ricer....learn the definition of ricer before you start bashing imports.....anyways good job on the mustang build that thing runs hard
street cars need dual plane intake manifolds but loose hp over the single plane high rise but you benefit with tons of low end torque and better take off with the dual plane.
@THRstang I think you got that backwards man. It's BOOSTED engine. Altitude won't mean a DAMN thing because it's still going to get the air it needs to make that power. The turbine will just have to spin faster to make the boost.
Love this move lol. I mean that, Laugh Out Loud at the bitch move of flying by after your ass was just handed to you. Love the car bro, I'm a lifer. 91 ssp coupe, 82 gt t-top, 88 gt, 67 fastback project and an 84 Capri RS. All motor all day
@THRstang yup thats why I dont race them anymore. They always have an excuse! "You have more cubic inches" "You have slicks" "You have a shot of nitrous" "Your car is a full out drag car" even though I drove my car to the track with ac/heater and a stereo...and the classic one "I hate going from a dig, lets do a roll race 40mph" Roll race = driver factor is taken out of the equation + setup Dig Race= driver factor + setup
mines forged all the way through but ive never put it on a dyno to find out what it can do, but I imagine the afr 185 heads with a x303 have their limits
The X303 hydraulic roller cam is the same as a B303, but with slightly more lift, it is 224 duration @.050" and .480(or there abouts) valve lift with regular 1.6 rockers. That is a very good all around street performer, but not enough for making power at 8000, not just for the profile, but for the fact of the hydraulic lifters will limit rpm when they pump up, especially since they are roller lifters, making them heavy too, so the valves will float much easier, unless you have monster springs, which will start hurting other parts. The camshaft in my 332" is an old Wolverine Blue Racer(pre-crane takeover) that has 260 dur @.050" and close to .700" lift with 1.6 rockers, and it uses solid lifters, which don't pump up at high rpm. My motor makes shit for power under 4500 rpm, but above that, it's making pretty good power. An ideal street motor? No.. But fun. Another thing to consider, if you are running a 5.0 factory roller block, those are 40 lbs lighter than the older 302 blocks (pre 1983 if I recall?) and that weight loss mostly came from thinning out the main webbing in the casting. Ford did that mainly to shed engine weight to make the fox cars handle better, I would imagine. Anyway, the newer blocks are much weaker than the older blocks. 5.0 roller blocks might handle 450-500 hp reliably, and not much more, the older ones, maybe 800-850hp before either of them blow the crankshaft out of the bottom of the block..
THEREgoes MILLER If revving is your goal, reducing the stroke and lightening the pistons would be one way. 289 crankshaft, 289 rods(with arp cap bolts) and ultralight forged pistons from JE would rev very well, assuming you have decent heads that will move the air.
im a chevy man all but i will giv credit where it is due nd did dat stang do. you could see the spin and realize that it would kill that import all day. ricers always say we have to have bigger motors or put a 4cyc in urs(the reason is b/c they are super light compared to a muscle car,, thats just redundant)!
Well your not telling me anything new! But my Mopar did squash a highly modified Supra back in 95, I ran only 109mph and he ran 127mph but lost by a nose! He was all over the track! If you can't plant the power it does you no good! Thanks for thinking you could tell me something new
How much money does it take to get a ricer to tens and nines? Too much A v8 build a good motor with good brand parts and slicks and suspension and your good.
Only thing I respect with a turbo is a Buick Gn my brother is doing 10's with his v6 I just got into this race shit I was a donut man at first what can u expect I'm still young but I'm building a motor for 87 mustang and will never do donut again if I have motor like this
Lol. I think you mean't to say (as in ricer) a 4cyl. But that's not true. With a little over/or under 5g you could most likely build a 4cyl (certain kinds) to run 10s.
@THRstang Honestly though who gives a fuck what someone starts with to build a car. If someone wants to build a 4 cylinder let them. You can say all this stuff about respecting stuff thats fast but All I see you doing is hating on them for running a 4 cylinder. That kind of makes your comments look condescending. Just saying.
The other thing is not everyone wants to put money in a MUSTANG. I would rather have something nice to Drive around like a Corvette, Viper, Supra, Lambo, Porsche, GT-R etc. (you kinda get the deal)
And when i hit the pause button this mustang did 11:11 not in the 10's lol but I still think that Dodge beat him sucks that the camera guy cut it out at the last second to verify the time!
U wont hear a LS sound that good!
That’s for sure
My personal preference is the sound of a stroker motor has that sound
No, they sound a million times better.
347's turn revs so sweet
Fords in general have something going for them like no other American muscle which makes them oof so cool to listen to.
Few things beats a screaming mopar or LS tho, but they are all in a class of their own and I love them all :D
I was glad he showed his taillights to that rice a roni!!
ckelley63 ricearoni lol 😂 morning
V8 running 10s big fuckin Whoopi Doo...piece of shit truck motor
WILL 702 you mad lol.
@@coyote5.02 sounds like it lol
Yea he big mad 😂

Still loves the old carbed mustangs.
sounds smooth, like it was built right.
Btw thanks for the quick reply. You're right, it does sound scary. Im gonna look into those mufflers for my fox :)
This motor sounds awesome! Nice car!
Love the notch, keep the haters looking at the taillights!!
clean coupe! love it all that matters is who crossed the finish line first... run what you brung...
I am surprised that Integra was almost right there. That notchback sounds so good though. You can't beat it. I was thinking of stoking my 289 to 331 or maybe 347. Not sure yet. I like how the camera man already knew who was going to win
That’s a bad ass mustang no doubt but that Acura was hanging with him 👍
wow that integra is fast.. well they are both fast!
The thumbs up in this one was a mistake! Please explain why his "huge cam" wont last on the street?
Did you happen to buy that mustang in Michigan
Is that a dodge neon SRT😏,I don't know man something like it god bless em
"JE Style"! Love it!!
What 8.8 differential do you run? Spool?
@DoggyB22 thats still es paso tx its just another normal left lane
Whats the compression on this 347?
what a good looking steed...
Texas Hot Rods… when rolling chassis were affordable
thetoothmaster1, you build it right with forged parts and clearance your bearings correctly. Nice pass, you would have even better time if you went automatic with a trans brake and 2-step.

Pretty easy to get the to 500 hp n/a nowadays. 11 years ago was another story.
What exhaust setup is on the mustang THRstang?
What was your 60ft cause it spun the hell out of those slicks?
You guys stage like your running 6's too funny!
Looked like it said 11.11. The headline says 10 sec .
Probably took into consideration that it took him .616 seconds to get off the line...
@THRstang oh beautiful, i wish, im just running a t5 with a tremec gear set with carbon fibre internals, 28 spline output with hardend input shafts, it works for now, but im going with more power soon and the t5 i got built is already stressing, i need to build something new, what would you recommend, do you like the liberty trans?
that integration sounds nasty
@THRstang I have and they are great, big fan here.
what cam is in this. do you know the specs? i have a 347 solid roller stang i just built, in the old chassis it ran 10.50 at 128 on drs. new chassis is lighter and im running a 456 gear now, last was 430 and the motor was labouring too much for the first 150-200feet, so far on shifts its been to 7500 no higher cause im not to sure where the cam will work to. and running a c4, but yeah cam specs please if you have them. and what size heads ?
What kind of exhaust is on here? If any??
@ THRstang man im building a 347 stroker with 750dp holley & hi rise mani & want an exact same cam as the one in this video! around how much am I looking @? HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED MAN & ALSO WHAT EXHAUST YOU RUNIING??? SOUNDS MEAN AND OBNOXIOUS LIKE I WANT MY 88 NOTCH

That supra thought he had something.
what head cam and intake?
first of all the mustang never slowed down if u watch the video again u will see that and a well turbo built integra that catches up to a all motor mustang is not a ricer....learn the definition of ricer before you start bashing imports.....anyways good job on the mustang build that thing runs hard
prepped block or aftermarket?
@THRstang That stang was still balls out when that import was catching it. at no point did he hit the brakes. Nice explanation, im not buying it.
what's the specs on the motor or is that confidential
LOL um it seems like that Neon ended up beating him I like how the video cut out at the last second so you couldnt read the times just saying
Good pony, eating rice like a real horse.
What kind of trans you runnin ??
Is this in el paso?
street cars need dual plane intake manifolds but loose hp over the single plane high rise but you benefit with tons of low end torque and better take off with the dual plane.
can you email me what all is done to the chassis and motor?
@THRstang I think you got that backwards man. It's BOOSTED engine. Altitude won't mean a DAMN thing because it's still going to get the air it needs to make that power. The turbine will just have to spin faster to make the boost.
Air is less dense so it will run slightly richer
Oh you misunderstood what I said, when I said like 6's I meant 6 second passes, like your cars are so fast you can't do a burn out before the tree
@THRstang how many horses?
sounds badass
where is this?
Wish my 347 ran this good.
snatchin them gears!!!!!!!!!!
All motor all day
*3 PEDALS FTW!*
Whats the exhaust set up
@THRstang yup thats why I dont race them anymore. They always have an excuse! Roll race = driver factor is taken out of the equation + setup
Dig Race= driver factor + setup
dam nice car stick too wow
Nice car. It runs hard.
Nice
fuck that import, ruins the hole sound and vibe of the real motor...
how do you get a stroker to roll at 8 grand without blowing up
My stroker revs to 8500 with no issues. It's all about the 4340 forged steel.. heh
mines forged all the way through but ive never put it on a dyno to find out what it can do, but I imagine the afr 185 heads with a x303 have their limits

Is your clutch gone yet? Your supposed to heat up the tires not the clutch
nice notch
There is a 9 second all motor civic
thatz @ El Paso,Tx
Kinda looked like the honda won though at the end from what I can see
You kinda need your eyes checked
sweet stang
im a chevy man all but i will giv credit where it is due nd did dat stang do. you could see the spin and realize that it would kill that import all day. ricers always say we have to have bigger motors or put a 4cyc in urs(the reason is b/c they are super light compared to a muscle car,, thats just redundant)!

I saw an 11.11 et on the board..not a 10 anything, js. Sweet sounding car tho.
Rudde67ss m that's a no time
wow man
Stock Block????
What cam
Ricers even do flybys during burnouts!
The teg sprayed
How much money does it take to get a ricer to tens and nines? Too much
A v8 build a good motor with good brand parts and slicks and suspension and your good.
hahahaaaaa get some riceeee i love ittttt
So many variables available, too bad your last video run was 5 years ago. Fast don't always last lol
I heard a mosquito in the background
i thought i heard a cricket
Only thing I respect with a turbo is a Buick Gn my brother is doing 10's with his v6 I just got into this race shit I was a donut man at first what can u expect I'm still young but I'm building a motor for 87 mustang and will never do donut again if I have motor like this

Lol. I think you mean't to say (as in ricer) a 4cyl. But that's not true. With a little over/or under 5g you could most likely build a 4cyl (certain kinds) to run 10s.
it's an integra not a neon
@bullittben50 all them do!
I wonna see a ricer run 10s on all motor....
Ricer had he's hopes up......lol
This video is sped up, watch fast people walk and move and how fast the teggy stops from burning out.
You're an idiot
Ok buddy obviously your dumbass can't see it so keep it to yourself.
Not even 10 sec SMH that thing ran 11.11
@xxOMAR313xx sur it does
@THRstang Honestly though who gives a fuck what someone starts with to build a car. If someone wants to build a 4 cylinder let them. how is that a ricer flyby stop hating the other car is sick too
Absolutely pathetic LOL. Lmfaoo. If this was my video I wouldn’t post it all proud
The brand new zo6 corvette from the factory runs these times almost…
And when i hit the pause button this mustang did 11:11 not in the 10's lol but I still think that Dodge beat him sucks that the camera guy cut it out at the last second to verify the time!
