one of my favorite lines is “we are burning our fingers, but we learn and forget...” to me she’s saying we can be moved and affected by something in a moment, but then we go on with our day, on with our busy lives, and the feelings we had in that moment fade. but we need to remember that moment and do something to change, to be better.
The way I see it is like she’s the goddess of the earth. In the beginning she’s warning us, pleading, begging us to stop and listen to her, help her save the planet and life. As the video goes on, we see the different forms of live living, growing, etc. and the instruments build and build the more the song goes on to represent her pain and her anger to our ignorance. At the climax of the song it’s like she snaps. We wouldn’t listen, we didn’t listen to her and now we are going to feel her wrath. All of the pictures and scenes of nature are that of an angry goddess. A hurricane, pouring rain, etc. are all portrayals of how we are going to reap what we sowed. If we aren’t going to do what she asks she’ll make us, no matter the cost. It’s honestly super beautiful and the way she tells the story through her dancing and the visuals are just so beautiful. I love her so much
What a rare talent she is! Reminds me of Bjork in her originality and the pureness of her voice and message.. I'm somewhat ashamed to say I originally found her bc of Frozen 2, lol. What can I say? My daughter loves Elsa.
There is always a message in her songs. She challenges us by bringing up subjects about the human nature and humanity. She is no shallow artist, and the combination of vocals, lyrics and performance is quite unique. Please react to The River, , dealing with human despair and dark feelings.
WOW!!!! Super powerful and super important message! Nature is what we all need to protect. It's what gives us the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat!
Aurora is so fascinating. One thing I find curious about her is her age. I'm sure she can be easily made up to look 12 or 30. Her songs and views have more maturity and wisdom than is attributed to any age group. She dresses like a teenager expressing themselves. She has the guileless quality of a child. In the interviews I've seen, watching her is like watching a spirit -- there are no walls, it's like she is showing you her soul (or rather, not hiding it like the rest of us). And since a spirit seems like an eternal thing, she seems ageless. And that's just one of the many things about her that amazes me.
Aurora said the makeup she's wearing is "a metaphor for showing your inner emotions on the outside, like the tears and the smile wrinkles that i like so much. its so cool when people get them. I cant wait to get mine for real" < quoted from the gal herself in an interview lol, I think that quote is a great representation of who she is overall! I recommend checking her out live, specifically Soft Universe live @ Nidarasdomen. Also I believe Norway is very heavy on keeping the area clean and being super environmentally friendly. They are very nature based people. they have one of the most efficient recycling plans. I'd say growing up in Norway has taught her the need to keep our environment healthy!
Oh that makes a ton of sense, because that is how they are culturally, she carried that with her as she grew older and got into music and stuff, that environmentalism stuck with her. Very neat. It is nice to hear of a country that cares about the planet and the environment. And it shows too because it is a beautiful place
Told you!! Puts you in the feels, wish there were more artists like this and they were paid more attention too. This needs to be played at the end of each news broadcast until people understand it! She’s so powerful.
Same, it is sad that she is literally the only person or artists talking about an issue like this. She is very powerful, that video and song was very compelling
Aurora is one of a kind. Never ever I feel really connected to someone I never met in my life like I feel with her. She writes her song as a catarthis and I really resonates with what she has to convey with her music. For the next, i think you should check out "The River" or "Daydreamer".
Thank you for a nice Aurora reaction. New sub here because if it. Aurora is really a complete artist. She wrote the music and the lyrics (in the documentary Once Aurora, her manager says that every one of Aurora's songs are at least 90%), the music video was just her and the camera man in a warehouse, they made the props themselves and she did her own makeup and wore garments she has used many times before paired differently with other clothes. Aurora is not only a singer, songwriter and producer, she is also a musician, playing the piano, the harp, drums and percussion, and she was the one playing the drums and percussion on The Seed studio version.
MSH, I was wondering how far down in the comments section I would have to go to finally find you! I look for and anticipate your comments on Aurora and learn so much. . . . and thank you for always sharing your knowledge.
I liked your reaction to Aurora. She is from Bergen in Norway - and she loves nature and the forest nearby where she grew up. In my opinion, she is very much nature of her self. And she has such a pure and kind soul! I wish someone also could react to her concert version of this song you just did - The Seed (Live at Lollapalooza Brazil 2018
I recently discovered AURORA on a whim, late at night playing animal crossing (don't judge me lol) and listening to music on yt. And this video had been in my recommend section for days and so I was like "Ok let's check this out, if for no other reason than to get it out of this section." Whoa!!! I have not stopped listening to her since. She, in my opinion, is music personified. She has a depth I wasn't expecting. The video that made me a believer, a warrior, as she likes to call her fans, is her live performance in Iceland on KEXP. It's 30 minutes but it won't feel long enough I promise. If you're looking for just one song in particular I would recommend 'It Happened Quiet" on The Current. (All of this can be found on yt, someone listed most of the links already so I didn't see the need.) This particular performance is incredibly intimate and stripped of all pomp and circumstance. In short, it's raw. I really enjoyed your reaction and I'm looking forward to seeing what you react to next. Take care
Yes she definitely portrays and like personifies her music like you said. It is very unique cause I have never seen anyone do that. She looks and sounds exactly like what she is singing about, she is like connected to it. It is hard to describe haha hence why I just keep saying she is so unique and just has a way about her, hard to put a finger on it. But thank you for those suggestions!!
You want to see her HAIK concert. Our national broadcaster takes good musicians on a "hike" for a whole day (live-broadcasting it on radio) before taking them to a secret place where their band is waiting to hold a concert for a small group of fans - while the broadcaster has rigged the place with a multi-camera live recording set-up. (spoiler-alert - NRK rigged her live concert and recording studio in a forest nearby a 900-year-old abbey - lightening the forest up with mid-20th-century living room lamps and surprising her with a gift - a quarter of the small audience being a male choir hiding as audience until the end - when they chimed in on her song). As a live recording in the middle of an old forest - it is pretty good. Before you check out her concert from the 1000-year-old cathedral housing the burial place of the Viking that gathered Norway as a (maybe) Christian nation. My point is - you really want to check this young woman's live-performances more than her studio performances. Check out her Honda-stage concert.
I know this is an old video, and you havent checked out her music for months, but yes, she does have other songs like this. "Warrior" is the best example in my mind. It doesn't have the same up beat tone, but that is why the message is so much more direct. her line "i don't remember the last time waking up to look at the world as beautiful" is just such a wonderful example of how she is so disappointing in how we are treating out planet. Another one with a more up-beat tone is "Apple tree" it seems like a difficult song to digest, but as soon as you realise the blood in the video, is us bleeding our planet, it makes sense. Her music is not always easy to interpret, and sometimes its just a fun song, but one thing that is consistent, her lyrics have multiple layers. Take care and stay safe!
i loved the reaction! i’m happy you loved the song. another one like this, is her song ‘daydreamer.’ especially the preformance she did from HAIK, it’s very tribal sounding and has such an amazing meaning. hope you react to it!
Last summer I was sitting at an outside restaurent in Bergen, Norway. Eating my burger, suddenly Aurora walked by. I have been a fan of her the last 5-6 years. I got starstucked :-) But in Bergen she is just a woman, not a superstar :-) Love all her music. BTW: she is a friend of SIGRID too :-)
Yes, I could definitely see this song ("The Seed") in the end credits for Avatar II! She has another iconic song that will appear in a few weeks in the new animated movie: Wolfwalkers (the third movie in a trilogy directed by Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart, based on Irish folk mythology). The song is appropriately titled "Running with the Wolves."
That was the first song I reacted to of hers!! Great song and great message! That is cool, I am glad she is starting to get some attention. She has such a unique way about herself and her music
There's a reason a lot of the louder environmentalists these days are coming out of Northern Europe. There aren't many places on Earth where you can see first-hand the damage we're doing to the planet to the degree you can there. Unless you live in the ocean anyway.
I really loved your reaction. So nice, thanks. I liked how much you loved it.. And yes, Aurora is so unique. Norway is beautiful, and Aurora comes from a place with beautiful nature, in the west of Norway, a little outside the second largest city in Norway: Bergen. Aurora shot the video to: "Runaway" here. You REALLY should react to it.. love from Norway 🇳🇴
You should check out a collab Aurora did with a Norwegian band called Wardruna. The song is Helvegen, and is performed in Old Norse, with the final part by Einar Selvik (Warduna's frontman) is in Norwegian. The song itself is about death and dying, and the Norse traditions of singing to the dying about their deeds and accomplishments.
You should check out Wardruna if you haven't already. Wardruna and Aurora had a collab with a song called Helvegen (the path to the afterlife) based in the ancient tradition of singing for people while they're dying. It's a fucking masterpiece
AuRoRa is a beautiful soul! try some of her live stuff. id suggest black water lilies, in boxes, awakening or gentle earthquakes. but anything AuRoRa is a masterpiece. copying something i saw yesterday, AuRoRa is my religion. thx again!
I like artists willing to stand on a platform and use it to put out a messsage. Another female singer that did that was Martina McBride..Try "Concrete Angel" by Martina;you want power, and rage, and frustration, and emotion...give it a look.
Aurora is a Sprite, she drags you into her world, makes you stronger, better and loved. Then she release you back into the world to change it in the little.
Here can you learn a litle bit about Norway, Aurora's🇧🇻 homeland🤗 You can also watch from Bergen on this video where she lives. ua-cam.com/video/uXyy7lgDj9k/v-deo.html

AURORA is the ultimate performer! She represents the generation that is willing to sacrifice for nature! Great reaction!
Total agree!
one of my favorite lines is “we are burning our fingers, but we learn and forget...” to me she’s saying we can be moved and affected by something in a moment, but then we go on with our day, on with our busy lives, and the feelings we had in that moment fade. but we need to remember that moment and do something to change, to be better.

Queendom by Aurora was my introduction to this incredible artist and I have been obsessed ever since! Please give it a shot, it's amazing!

I absolutely love this girl , her voice, her videos and style !
Yes same!
She is just magnificent live! For a start, try ”It happened quite” at the Nidarosdomen...
And while you are there look at her cover of "Nature Boy", and "Winter .. no react to the whole concert!
What a rare talent she is! Reminds me of Bjork in her originality and the pureness of her voice and message.. I'm somewhat ashamed to say I originally found her bc of Frozen 2, lol. What can I say? My daughter loves Elsa.

She is very impressive, not just vocally but like you said, her ability to bring up subjects like that, no one else ever does.
Will do
WOW!!!! Super powerful and super important message! Nature is what we all need to protect. It's what gives us the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat!
Yes!!
Welcome to the world of Aurora. She will change your life in a moment. Love your reaction... 🪶❤️❤️❤️

AURORA is the voice of Mother Earth.
And she brings the message to us.
I hope more people start to see her, literally see her.
The force is strong with this one. She could be the offspring of Mother Nature who will help us get back on track and save the earth and mankind.
Told you!! Puts you in the feels, wish there were more artists like this and they were paid more attention too. This needs to be played at the end of each news broadcast until people understand it! She’s so powerful.

I made a similar experience. In my case it was the full nidarasdomen concert. And I could not stop listening

Another song with a strong message from her: HUNGER
Good to know!

And the mv is beautiful😍

Amazing song and video 🤩🤩 Love it ❤️❤️
It's mother nature's powerful anthem.
Hoping to see more Aurora reactions. She is best live imho. +1 sub.
There will be more :)
If you like the beats and her dancing, I'll recommend her official video for Winter Bird. Definitely one of my favorites.
Awesome thanks!
@@SuffiReax You're welcome brother! ✌🏻
Great reaction! I hope you do more from Aurora.
YOU DEFINITELY SHOULD REACT TO AURORA - QUEENDOM (MUSIC VIDEO)

You want Appletree, Winter Bird, Under the Water, A Different Kind of Human, or Murder Song live.

AGHHH i love aurora so much!! could you react to her song The River?
Norway and other Scandinavian countries are very aware of climate change because they are watching the glaciers in their lands melt away for decades.
I love everything about my fellow sister
yeah, she's from norway, and altough there have been bad decisions regarding nature here (no doubt!!! e.g. Altaelva, dumping remains from mining in fjords, putting up windmills where they might harm rare owls and the like, building on farm land when only 3% of the country can be farmed,...), I'm afraid it's nothing compared to what's happening in other places. Norway is not a saint in this regard by far, but there are some gruesome examples out there that makes Norway look almost like a paradise. Which makes you wonder where the world is headed...
and @Suffi Reax - thanks for a greatreaction and comments. And I agree - her beats, message and emotions are so important and full of impact!
Plain said; you matters.
Love your reaction
