    Great conversation with Mark! Hearing your lessons learned and overview of the Appalachia Deployment is incredibly eye opening and thought provoking. Screw the Continuity of Government, anyone with open eyes can see where they stand. We all need to plan for Continuity of Country as y'all talked about! Hurricane Helene proves that "We The People" are on on our own.

    I and a couple others here in California are Ham radio operators. We have some age but we can set up and communicate from anywhere. We are self sustaining. If you need us just holler, we can head anywhere within 6 hours. Local we can deploy in 30 minutes. One is none, two is one and three or more is better.

    I'm very thankful for Grindstone Ministries and the work you guys have done, and continue to do. Getting the word out about the toxicity of the Rivers and it's tributaries flowing into streams, creeks, and the soil toxicity in Appalachia is a God send. We live with an evil that shows itself in many ways. One of those is the State "testing" the water and telling folks it's good to drink, and the land safe to plant on when we know it's not... I've been very loud trying to get friends and neighbors to test, and I Pray they do...

    Thank you for all you guys have, are and will be doing to help people in need. No more pure love than that. An amazing and much needed assignment in these wild times. My assignment has been much smaller and not hands on. I have been placed in a situation of doing research and learning various old school skills and ways for a number of years now. My contribution is putting the few simple things I have learned out in various places on the internet for any who find it useful and of value. I think conversation is much needed and the thing most attacked by the enemy. We need to have civil conversation, even or maybe especially, with those who see things differently, and glean what ever truth we may find there while sharing ours. As much as it depends on us be at peace with all men. It sounds simple, but is often one of the most challenging things the Lord has asked us to do. At least for me it has been. lol.

    People need to learn to can food to preserve. Everything, veggies, meat, potatoes. Easy meal on a Tuesday night too. Canning far superior to freezing for preservation. Freezing still useful, but you better be able to can the frozen things that are 'cannable' when the power goes out.

    • @RedFlyerMedia
      @RedFlyerMedia 18 днів тому +2

      I have a freezer, but only keep food in it as a “step one” for canning. I try to always have the amount of frozen food that is equal to 2 days of canning & no more. I also have all the canning supplies for that frozen food ready to go. Hopefully I never have to exercise the plan.

    • @tagladyify
      @tagladyify 15 днів тому +1

      A camp stove and propane is great for emergency canning. Has to be powerful enough to bring pressure canner to temp. I have had my jars stored on a shelf but after hearing some Helene ideas am starting to can fresh water in them until they are needed for food.

    • @tagladyify
      @tagladyify 15 днів тому +1

      A dehydrator is another tried and true method to preserve food. Also fermentation like sauerkraut which also has medicinal qualities for digestion. I don't can those as the heat kills the good bacteria. In my experience some food don't last as long with canning as dehydration. We dehydrate potatoes, onion, garlic, and peppers. Herbs can just be air dried. I got a large, industrial, all stainless dehydrator for $200 on webstaurant. They also have half gallon canning jars which are hard to find and replaced mine when fedex broke some even though they were very well packaged.

    • @tagladyify
      @tagladyify 15 днів тому

      Peppers, garlic and onion are also very delicious fermented, but won't last as long and need to be kept cool. Each needs a different water to salt ratio for the brine. Info easily found on many places online.

      Salt preserving meat I haven't tried yet but it's on the list. If anyone has experience with it I'd appreciate some pointers.

      Magnesium actually helps your hypothalamus and pituitary gland in both regulating insulin levels, and helps your body produce melatonin. So it's great for lots of stuff... It is also great for your heart, and will aid in blood pressure and protect your veins and arteries. Take it with the vitamin D family, and zinc, and you will be unstoppable!
