Some of the states in India are not able to manage finances after implementing GST.
When there VAT /CST states enjoyed good amount of indirect tax. Now states have to wait for central to pass on tax 😊
but some states like odisha, gujarat and karnataka are in good condition

Truth about Govt. Jobs is REGULAR PROMOTIONS don’t happen.
Employees for decades stay on same position and in case they are made eligible for Promotion, employees have to shift cities and move to new towns which most people avoid due to their children and families.
Hence salaries of most Govt. jobs stay stagnant for long time.
Thus NPS will not help Govt. Employees !
We are also the nation who spend 2000 crores on a statue in Gujarat.
Multiple crores are spent on Temples and New Parliament.
Atleast in Old pension scheme citizens get money post retirement and needed in their old age.

Let me give you a ground report, I have a MSME in NE India. Market condition from previous Diwali has been very worse. Market from this february has been a total disaster. We never imagined such a bad market. Even worse than 2008. No funds coming in for operations. Gotta make huge amounts to suppliers. Inventory lying idle in godown.
