The instructions that came in the box were no help in this regard and setting this. up as an extension was my main goal. I can't seem to find instructions anywhere for this.
Does placing the transmitter closer to the power panel make a difference? and the same with the receiver? Transmitter is in the house and the receiver is in the garage, do I want the shortest distance between the 2 as far as signal strength? Does this help make up for any appliance along that same line? Just making a general comment her for any electricians.

hi, these 2 units are different, right? 1 has antennas and the other does not. I ask because as I understood you can add as much as 8 access points. So if I buy 1 kit (with 2 adapters) I have 1 access point. If I buy an additional kit can I now add 2 more access points? thanks
I thought about getting a extender for a wifi security camera. The problem is it would be a gamble because I live in a old 1960s house. I see a lot of rat's nests were the wires come together meaning it was grandfathered in. Thanks for the video.
I have a older netgear extender cuz Comcast can't seems to transmit evenly thru my house. I think the model is 300 but it repeat signal tops out at 10MB even tho I have 150MB thru Comcast.
I'm guessing that you've tried different outlets....Have you tried a different model powerline adapter? I've also heard that sometimes the wiring in older houses can cause connectivity issues.

So I don't know what to do because when i plug my phone charger, there's electricity (so I don't understand why the power LED doesn't ligh up). I even tried it on other outlet but it's the same. Hi Triple M, great video once again! I have Spectrum & am always around 160-190mbps & nvidia shield but I still get buffering sometimes. A guy in my iptv group said it's Spectrums equipment but I can't afford new router & modem. Would this help me? My box is connected by ethernet & is 3 ft from my box.
What are you getting from a speed test? Are you getting the 160mbps? Have you tried using g a VPN? Also, most of the time the buffering comes from the actual stream itself.
@@Triple_M they just moved it from 100 mbps to 200mbps. Just ran it & it's 195. The main problem is my paid iptv, it won't connect sometimes & they say it's on my end. If it's Terrarium I change links or players & it's fine. Someone recommended the nighthawk but I can't afford that right now!

You connect the antenaless model with a network cable from your router. You put the antena model where you want wifi. The antenaless model uses power cables in your house to connect to the antena model. And the antenna version puts out wifi for everything to use

Just one point. Your network speed has nothing to do with your ISP's speed. And that being said, if you're fully 1Gbps in the house then a 80Mbps unit is a massive slow down. You might want to look at the MoCA units instead.
badgernikes it cannot because they both have to be in thesame Network. Unless you and neighbor are in thesame building and u can connect one of this power line to your neighbor’s router or modem.
When you're using Wifi and you're connected to the extended networked and you don't have your laptop wired, does the wifi extender connect to the router via wifi or via hardwire (through wall)? I can't really word my question that well.
I know what you meant. Your laptop goes off of the extender’s signal if it’s not directly hardwired with the Ethernet cable. However the extender connects and gets it signal from the router through wires in the wall. It might not be as strong due to the distance traveled between the two though.

But I have a problem with my Netgear nighthawk x4s ac2600, am paying for 100 mbps but am only getting half of that from my router but from my AT&T modem am getting 108. Add I technician come out today to look at it and we test everything I even update the netgear nighthawk but still the same thing. Thanks man
Is this on wired connections, wireless, or both? Check your QOS setting in your router, I’ve seen where setting up QOS messes up the speed. If all els fails, try a factory reset.
Can you help me with troubleshooting with this product? My pick a plug randomly drops to red at random times constantly, about every other minute it goes from green to red and then back to green. This apparently is the issue (if not I'm just dumb) for the box not working with my Xbox One S. Idk if this is an issue with the powerline itself or my Xbox and I'm confused because it works fine with my PC but it bugs out with my Xbox. Whenever it's working normally it never goes red, but whenever its bugging it goes red to green to red. Not only does it not work for wired but trying to use the wireless extension also just doesn't work, no reason for it but it just doesn't. If you have any help that'd be very much appreciated.

That is your wan speed, thebspeed of internet coming into your house/network. The speed between devices (,with your internet off) is the speed of the networking devices 300,500,1000 etc. So if you are already getting 30mb wireless everywhere dont worry, but when your wifi is weak and your internet speed is high (nese router, at source) then you need this

Yes, YOu can use it as an access point. As for which is better, depends if you want to use the same SSID or not.

If it's another power device, it shouldn't because it's on a different frequency.
