So much faulty shit in this Russian propaganda movie that's the backdrop to the music. I mean, the Swedes didn't use bayonets at all during the first decade of the 1700's. We used a sort of broad sword called "Värja", which is almost a bastard sword in lenght and thickness, but with a guarded hilt and a small pommel. It was issued as a standard piece of infantry kit, in swedish called a "manskapsvärja", and when the swedish infantry charged, it charged as a full batallion sized unit with swords drawn in order to obtain maximum shock value.
