I took it as her being rocked to the core. She had nearly mocked her beliefs and suddenly had them reaffirmed. I also took her behaviors when with the other Mandalorians as being humbled. It was like she had taken the myths for granted all her life and was dismissive of them in her older age. And BAM! Everything she had been taught her entire life was unfolding in front of her.

How would you behave if you saw a fundamental figure in your religion? Im sure she was rocked to her core and perhaps made her take a second look at her relationship her religion. This may have made her more receptive to keeping her helmet on while she tries to process what she saw.

Personally, I feel like time with Din affected Bo a lot, as well as seeing Mythosaur, it's possible that this season we'll see a transformation in Bo, and I sincerely hope so. As for the fact that Bo didn't tell Din that she saw the Mythosaur, I don't think she really knows if what she saw is real or just a delusion, hence the questions to Din, did he see anything or is there something alive down there, a bit like you're the only one seeing something that shouldn't exist, you don't know if you saw it for real or maybe your brain is playing tricks on you and the more you think about it the more you're not sure which is the truth. It seems to me that Bo herself doesn't know what to think about all of this.
I think Grogu will calm down Mythosaur with force, and then the question is whether Din or Bo will be with him then, or maybe both, if Din well, it is known that he will become Mandalore, if Bo is with him, it is obvious that she will not let go of such an opportunity if it's Din and Bo then I'm sure Din will step down and let Bo because he doesn't want to rule.
It also seems to me that for the final resolution of the Mythosaur issue we will wait until the last episode and the Battle of Mandalore, then we will find out who will become Mandalore, personally I would see it so that the Mandalorians fight the Empire, Din protects Grogu from explosion and they fall together to the caves where they meet the Mythosaur, Grogu seeing that Din is unable to pull them out calms the beasts as the Mandalorians on the surface slowly begin to lose to the Empire, Din and Grogu appears on the back of the Mythosaur turns the tide of the battle. I know I'm fantasizing a lot here, but it's worth dreaming.

Din Djarin has so far been a means to a way for Bo-Katan, from the freighter hijacking, to finding Moff Gideon, to finding the only other way to rule Mandalore without the Dark Saber. The Children of the Watch are also a means to a way for her, Vizsla doesn’t buy it either. Vizsla always butted heads with Din Djarin since he got the Beskar from the Imperial warlord, but this is different. Bo is at a fork, exploit the tribe & be an opportunist, or support Din Djarin & the tribe. Din Djarin doesn’t want to be the new Mandalore, but maybe she can convince him with the aid of the Armorer.

I think it's because Bo sees this as an opportunity to reclaim the throne without the dark saber. Din IS the new Tar Vizla at least that's what I think. For her, Din is exactly what Mandolorians are at their core. The Mythosaur is a right of passage to rule but the dark saber represents unification of Mandolor. It is a weapon that embodies balance. This is why Din struggles to wield it whereas Bo is a pro with it seemingly.
Also I find it funny that Bo Katan knows of the force and the jedi but take her own people's history as tall tales.

The actress who plays Bo Katan gave an explanation of why Bo Katan said nothing about seeing the Mythosaur.
It was in an interview that she recently did.
"Why did Bo-Katan keep that huge reveal to herself? Bo-Katan's longtime portrayer, Katee Sackhoff reveals in a new interview with EW's Dagobah Dispatch that the former Mandalorian leader's intention wasn't nefarious. "She doesn't trust necessarily what she saw. She might have thought that she imagined it," the actress explains, and that "there's so many things that she's trying to process in her head that I don't necessarily think that it's something that she wants to tell anyone about right now."
Sackhoff confesses that because of the hard losses Bo-Katan has suffered, she's naturally cagey. Also, her character doesn't know Din all that well yet, despite respecting him as a warrior and being intrigued by him and his belief system. And it's that belief system that Bo-Katan comes face to face with at the end of the episode when Din brings her to the Children of the Watch's hiding place after her ancestral home is destroyed on Kalevala."
Just copy a few lines from the quote that I posted and search google with that, to find the full article.

Think of Bo-Katan as someone who casually goes to Church once in a while, usually because someone's grandmother suggests going for Easter or Christmas. Beyond the value of making a loved one happy, it holds very little significance for that casual churchgoer. But suppose that person suddenly found themselves confronted with a vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Do you not think that would change that person straight to their core? Do you think maybe that person would start taking the faith more seriously?
I think Bo-Katan hasn't said anything because she's just had her whole worldview turned upside down. The thing she always wrote off as an old legend that makes the elders happy, turned out to be true. She needs time to come to terms with what just happened. Then add the complication of her home getting destroyed, which she also needs to deal with. I think Bo-Katan doesn't even know what she's going to do yet. It's clearly shaken her, and I don't think she "inadvertently" followed the creed after emerging from the waters, she very much intentionally left her helmet on, she's a true believer now. She is the convert.
Also: I think Grogu will tame the Mythosaur. Grogu will be the new Mandalor The Great, and Bo-Katan will accept this. Again, Bo-Katan is much wiser than she was when she followed Pre Vizla, she knows why she needs to avoid a civil war, and she has been very eager to discourage infighting between Mandalorians in the recent past.

The Virgin Mary thing is dumb, as that has never been real, and has no chance of ever happening. The Mythosaur is not some creature that never existed, like religions and their gods now. It's just a creature that isn't extinct anymore. there has always been a chance that one is still alive. This is not the same as having a vision while in church.

To be fair, she didn't lie. She just stayed quiet about it.
She asked Din if he saw anything, but he didn't ask her if she saw anything.
I mean, how would anyone react if a former royal that already failed to rally her people, and lost the crown (dark saber), suddenly spouted they saw God? People would think they're trying to use faith to grab power a second time. (Din might have believed her, he was there and 'wants' to believe more than most, but others WOULD be more skeptical)
Bo Katan's near 50 years old by this show, she's been around and knows how quick politics can bite you in the bum.

The episodes with the Living Waters reminded me of the Tree root cave in Episode 5 The Empire Strikes Back. The mystical, aspect of Star Wars, when Luke confronted a Darth Vader who is his double. There is no rational behind it. Bo Katan had an epiphany, a mystical experience, a rebirth. Maybe she would grow as the legitimate leader of her people, again. She knows how to use the Dark Saber, and Din Djarin would be her prophet....Maybe Season 3 is about how Din Djarin helps recreating Mandalore and set back Bo Katan on the throne. Maybe the Mandalorian is about this character who recreates life wherever he goes.

I think we are still seeing a great character Arc from Bo that started last season. Din was just a means to an end at first but then he became this nagging friend who won't leave her be , which when all others left her , he was still there. She didn't have to dive in after him. Now that she sees the mythosaur she is still processing her feelings about what she saw. She might be thinking it's a way to rule Mandalore but then you add the layer of the children of the watch fully welcoming her after finding out she bathed in the living waters. I think by the end , you will find a selfish character who transforms into an unselfish being.

I think a lot of people get Bo Katans motivations wrong. She didn't want the Dark Saber because she wanted to rule, she felt obligated to rule. She had failed and was trying to correct it. She was never a believer that there was anything special about the Dark Saber other than as a symbol. That shit was thrust on her by her family, and Sabine giving her the Dark Saber. Bo Katan has always been a follower. She didn't mention it cause it all feels hokey to her. Yet now maybe she found someone worth following.

With this, you'd have Deathwatch/Children of The Watch following the Darksaber, who's following the Mythosaur. And any fractured tribes would fall in under one or the other, but ultimately be united together. Perhaps a political and a military faction from the Mythosaur and Darksaber respectively. Which would make sense, given Bo Katan's experience ruling (brief as it was) and Din's combat knowledge but lack of interest in actual leadership of an entire people.

  • @yourweirdauntperfumeryskin3236

My theory is that she's shocked and doesn't know what to do with this new information that there's actually a Mythosaur hanging out in the Living Waters. And I think once she gets over that, she'll wait until the right time to tell all of the Mandalorians who will likely show up at some point this season. The right time being once Din has mastered his demons and accepted that he could be a leader. But honestly, keeping all of Din's development in mind and his personality, I think he might hang around long enough to bring the clans together, but I don't think he'll remain in charge. He REALLY doesn't want it. Even though he's the link between the factions and the other fighters and independents throughout the Outer Rim. Because think about it: people love this guy. Every community and person he's come in contact with (who isn't an Imperial Remnant or pirate or general agent of darkness) considers him a friend. If anyone could unify the Outer Rim, it's Din. And that's why I think Din's influence is bigger than Mandalor.

I agree that Bo Katan was uncertain of what she saw and she had a plausible reason for keeping the Mythosaur a secret. But I think she has an ulterior motive and she can use this to her advantage. But thinking back she has said before that the Children of The Watch, the cult has fractured the Mandalorian culture and she does desire to rule Mandalore but she also wants the cult to be expunged. For it is not completely necessary to follow the old ways of the Mandalore, for this separated all the Mandalorian Warriors and Bo Katan seeks to unite them again under the same Way, with her as ruler. But I know that she is playing her cards carefully and she is seeking for the opportune moment. And I know that for now she has to abide by the rules of the Children of The Watch because she is going to need their aid later on down the line.

It would be interesting to see her taming the mythosaur, becoming ruler this way and being supported by Din, who weilds the dark saber, a more modern symbol of rulership. This way combined they could rally all mandalorians and perhaps be even more stronger as they combine the new and the old way?

Best way for the mandalorian people is to focus on Grogu being brought up as a proper mandalorian as he is a foundling. He was initially trained to be a jedi, so he can learn to use the darksaber properly and he can also use the Force to tame the Mythosaur.
That way he will be the in a similar way like Tarre Vizsla, being both Mandalorian and Jedi.
Also, his long lifespan would mean he can rule and protect the mandalorians for centuries keeping their tradition alive. Just need to craft him a proper beskar helmet.

There are certain parallels that can be drawn between the temptation of Anakin Skywalker by Darth Sidious and the temptation of Jesus by Satan. Both involve a charismatic figure offering power and control in exchange for loyalty and obedience. However, there are also significant differences - most notably, Anakin's fall to the dark side is driven in large part by his own fear and anger, while Jesus remains steadfast in his faith despite Satan's many temptations.
As to whether this adds to the overall tragedy of Anakin's character, I would argue that it does. Anakin's journey from hero to villain is one of the most compelling and tragic arcs in all of Star Wars, and the fact that he ultimately succumbs to the same kind of temptation that has plagued humanity for millennia only adds to the complexity and depth of his story.
Ultimately, the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker lies not just in his actions, but in the circumstances that lead him down that path. From his turbulent childhood to his struggle to balance his duties as a Jedi with his love for Padme, Anakin is a deeply flawed and tortured character whose fall from grace resonates with audiences on a visceral level.
