Awesome content. Just put 64 Marquettes in myself! Love the doggo!

Awesome! I have one marquette in there to get a feel for growing it but have been making wine from marquette for the past couple years thanks to a local source. I have found it to be a one of the best hybrids around here. It has a lot of malic acid which can require some unconventional winemaking practices but if you can get the acids dialed in it can really shine at about two years of aging.

@@TheHomeWinemakingChannel Thanks for the tip. I am likely going to expand into Frontenac and Leon Millot. Any opinions on these?

Thank you for the suggestion and link to afixing vines to trellis wire. I've been using twist ties and re-positioning as needed. This looks to be a quick and simple way to do it. Just ordered from your Amazon link. I appreciate your efforts to share your knowledge of wine making. I searched the UA-cam tonight, because I had a wine that was bottled a few weeks ago shoot out it's cork . . . resulting in nearly a whole bottle being spewed all across my kitchen, from one end to the other. We recently bought a new freezer and 1/2 a red heifer to fill it which resulted in moving various stuff around and blocking my way to the wine cabinet I would have put those bottles in. Just wondering if I should be concerned about other bottles blowing their corks now . . . just going ahead and storing them in the cabinet in the basement (the blown cork bottle was still on the upstairs kitchen table for about two weeks). Should I be concerned about the others? We've been having warmer than usual days here in North Dakota and basement is a bit cooler, but not by much as our window air conditioner in in the kitchen. Should I open and add more sulfites to the bottles, then re-cork them? Seems they must still be fermenting?

Thank you! If one wine blew a cork it is likely the first of many. If you can keep them below about 50F you should be okay though. You can also uncork them and pour back into a carboy if you want to. The best bet though is to drink them soon or refrigerate them. I have a video coming out tomorrow about assuring that a wine is stable before bottling. That will be very helpful for future wines.

Hi. I got question for you. Recently I got a whisky barrel (pretty fresh) and I am planning to do Zinfandel wine in the whisky barrel. But I'm a little bit nervous about that because it's my first time to do wine in the whisky barrel and specially I don't have enough knowledge in this topic.
Question: If you have some experience or knowledge in this particular subject, can make a video with all explanations that you have?
    Thank you.

Hello my friend, thank you for your nice video, there are rumors that these strips are not enough for grapes, do you think a small stapler and a plastic tape are enough to hold the grape branches? You have been using this machine for a long time. What do you think about it?

Can you adjust the tension of the tape so whatever your taping will be extremely tight

There is no tension adjustment. Depending on how far you push it past the vine will dictate how tight it is. You can make it snug but not super tight.
