  • The iPhone 13 launched today, and i fully disassemble it. Starting with the 2 pentalobe screws at the bottom, i pry up the screen, remove the battery, and teardown the entire phone to see how it's built. Hope this helps people with screen replacement and general iphone 13 repairs! .........................................................

    Things to note:
    - The screen only has 1 flex cable now, as the Digitzer and OLED no longer need separate ribbon cables.
    - The screen no longer carries the top earpiece speaker, it's only the top microphone and proximity sensor (and light sensor?)
    - The rumour of the iPhone 13 not even booting up with a replacement battery has been squashed.
    - Face ID is disabled with an independent screen replacement (outside of Apple). Hopefully a screen re-programmer can solve this barrier soon.

    Would it be possible to change the lightning port to usb type c port?

    • @RestoreTechnique
      @RestoreTechnique  2 роки тому +3

      Not sure. It would involve a lot of complicated tiny wiring, or a new printed flexible circuit board. And the frame would need the port hole resized, as a USB-C port is thicker and wider. A lot of effort.
