Well, after a six-month hiatus I returned to MSFS from P3D. I went over to P3D for the PMDG 777 as I was a real 777 Captain, and flying several aircraft on MSFS was affecting my job performance. On the other hand, flying the 777 on P3D actually helped me at work. No rap on P3D, as I really loved the honesty and performance accuracy of the study level PMDG 777. However, I am trying to build a following, and MSFS is by far the most followed.
I am looking for an aircraft to fly during Cross the Pond Eastbound in late October. The event is sponsored by VATSIM, and it has fully staffed ATC for the entire transatlantic experience. Very cool.
I have decided to fly either the ASOBO 787-10 Kuro 787-8 or the TFDI MD-11 if it is on-line by then. However, I have received a few suggestions to use the A310 by Inibuilds. The A310 is a free study-level aircraft on MSFS, and I have 5000 hours albeit from 30 years ago! However, I have never flown the 787, so I really want to try learning this aircraft.
Programs used in my productionsn:
1. VATSIM
2. VATSPY
3. Sim Brief
4. Sim Brief Downloader
5. VPilot
6. PMDG DC-6
7. Navigraph full membership
8. GSX PRO (Possibly)
9. MSFS
10. OBS Studio
11. FS Realistic (Maybe)
12. PRO-ATC/SR (Maybe!)
13. Pushback Toolbar
Anyway, your input is welcome and needed!
Thank you!!!!!! - Ігри
From another US Based cabin crew member to another, congrats on your retirement Capt. Thank you for your years of service, subscribed and looking forward to watching you grow in this next chapter of life!
I don’t golf! Thank you for checking in and for subscribing my brother!
Very thorough training, thank you!
Thank you so much. It’s my pleasure!
It is great to learn from a true Captain ...The explanation is wonderful and simple..Thanks
It is very important to me that you have taken the time to comment. It truly keeps me motivated!
I believe I will learn a lot about MSFS 787 from you.
I enjoy watching your videos and learning a lot. Thank you, Captain.
Thank you. Any comments or questions are greatly appreciated. This channel only works if the subscribers feel welcome to participate.

Thank you so much!
Great video. Congrats on your retirement!! I'm a SWA CA based over in BWI. 36 years is a long time man!! Hope to keep seeing these vids! Keep it up
Thank you very much. It means a lot when it comes from someone of your qualifications. I flew my first flight sim 8 months ago and started a channel a month or so later. It’s a lot of fun, but it sure is a lot to learn for an old guy! Thanks again.
i love your videos and amazing content. THANK YOU
Thank you very much. It’s comment like your’s that keeps me motivated!
Thank you Father Time. Please continue to add tutorials to help us learn to fly from A to Z.

Lots of videos that I made here. I’ll continue to make them. Thank you!
You Know this here Bus Driver is gonna actually try this 787 thanks to you Fathertime! Thank you.
It’s not the Fenix A-320, but it will get you deep into Europe from the US!!!!
I just started getting into the 787 and this helped me figure it out a lot. Thank you sir
You’re welcome, and thank you so much for taking the time to comment, it means a lot.
@@FatherTime1958 Question. I did a flight from CYYZ to CYVR but once i got to the approach the autopilot didn't make a turn. On the legs where was suppose to turn it said vectors. Can I delete the vectors for it to connect so it'll make the turn? i hope that makes sense
@@backburner9624yes, you can definitely delete the vectors and clear the discontinuity. If you have the aircraft in LNAV it will continue to follow the NAV guidance. Then, as long as you also have the ILS armed, it will then capture the APP. A better way would be to select the APP and arm 6R thereby extending the centerline. This technique is used on 99 percent of real life approaches.
Let me start by saying thanks Captain. Thank you for your dedication to teaching us how these sim-planes really work.
It is so nice that you took the time to give me positive feedback. It means a lot, and it definitely keeps me inspired to produce,
Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to comment. It means everything.
Thanks for the tutorial!
This 787 just got better, and it's more reliable than the kuro one for cross the pond event i think.
Thank you. I love it!
Thank you Cpt.! Awesome tutorial! Not sure if you have heard of SimBitWorld APL2 virtual pilot software. It’s really awesome! It takes you through an entire pilots career with just about every airline in the world to fly for. I am currently flying as a senior first officer for Korean Air out of Incheon , S.Korea flying the Headwinds Simulations A330-900 neo. You might really enjoy and appreciate the amount of detail that SimBitWorld APilots Life 2 has created since you are a real airline pilot. Congrats on your retirement. Thanks again for the great content.
I looked into it, and it seems like it would be something that I would be interested in. Thank you!
@@FatherTime1958 Hi Captain. Yes, it’s very immersive. It tracks just about every aspect of the flight from pre-flight, to shutting down and scores you. Also gives a complete procedure breakdown of how well you flew. I believe it’s the best virtual airline app on the market. Well worth the money. I’m flying for United Airlines at the moment as a ‘Captain’. The Horiaon Simulation 787-9 is my plane of choice. It’s taken me a while to get to that level but it’s a lot of fun. Right now I’m on a real world flight UAL1123 from Johannesburg, S.Africa to Puerto Rico. So much fun!
I flew with American Airlines 777 on my travel to USA. Regards Captain from Brazil.
I used to go to Rio and São Paulo over the years out of JFK
Captain, Today I flew the Aerofly FS4 777 and was completely blown away. What a great sim. Have you tried it. Later today I will fly it in VR. Ed
I had to subscribe on this first video I’ve seen by you sir! Spot on balance of showing how it is done by a proper Captain with brevity. A great idea of doing a second pass to help drill the steps into us mere simmers. I’m sorry if I am being a bit greedy to want to ask questions and feel free to ignore them if you do not want to be troubled by such things…. It would be nice to see a Simbrief video from you so I can be following where you’re grabbing some OFP data like cost index to enter in FMS. I’ll look to see if you have posting something like that. The other curiosity I had is that I noticed you did not automatically transfer the flight bag data back to the FMS, but elected to manually enter the resultant data into the FMS. Is this because hitting that send output button send bad or untrustworthy data back to the FMS?
Thank you very much for taking the time to contribute. It means a lot to me. I can definitely do a SimBrief video. I do, however, often show my SimBrief flight plan as I draw form it’s content. To be honest, I can’t remember the methodology required. I have been immersed in the TFDI MD-11 testing program and my brain hurts!!! Thanks again.
You don't need to remember ZFW, Just click on it on the perf init page, and the ZFW from the simbrief upload will be populated on the FMC scratch pad line.
Outstanding! Thank you!
I can't enter the (/) simbol in the efb, which key do you use? thanks
Try the kuro, it’s become my cross the pond front runner.
I have been flying the Kuro 787-8. I love it.
Hi captain, great video as always!!! I am wondering if you could make an video about Boeing’s C*U law since there are very few video on ytb explains it:((((
ua-cam.com/video/VFCZSCwS538/v-deo.htmlsi=DTkk4Z9okf_WPmm2
I made this video about the 777 FBW system. It’s magic to the pilots. Boeing recognizes that pilots are trained on cable airplanes, so it imitates legacy flight control feels and responses while offering extensive protection to the aircraft. The PFCs are ordering inputs to components that the pilot may not even know are moving.
@@FatherTime1958 ahh thank you so much! I will go have a look!
Pilot to pilot isn’t your kiddo is he 🤔
Are we talking about “Bob”?
