When he goes to take the ghost at 1:05:00 and says "hopefully we don't get shot by anything" and then proceeds to be shot by absolutely everything is so funny lmfao
tbf, it's indeed a very hard trick to pull off since you have to do a quick setup with lots of variables, Jun teleporting, his recovery animation after getting hit, looking at the right spot, be at the right angle, Jun looking the right direction and running to a specific rock, not get splattered on the landing, don't get stuck in elastic barriers. It's a pretty neat trick, but oh boy, it's crazy hard to land on the right spot, the WR's for that IL even manage to get a launch in over the gate, which is even more insane :p
1:21:00 Bob is a reference to Bungie's earlier game series (precursor to Halo) Marathon. Bobs were sometimes-friendly NPCs in that game that either fought alongside you or tried to kill you depending on their type. Bob = Born on board. 😊🏅
This run got me interested in speed running. I watched it (in combination with guides) to learn strategies to get my "Keep Your Foot On The Pedrogas" achievement, and I just haven't been able to stop trying to get my times lower since. The concussion rifle jumps at the end in particular were so satisfying to watch and learn myself.
Love how everyone was so shocked about the pressure launch that they didn't even mention the forklift clip right afterward at 20:20. For anyone wondering, if you park the forklift there in just the right spot you'll clip through the gate, which not only skips that long firefight, it _also_ prevents the rest of the enemies in the level from spawning so you can just run to the end.
minor lore point. spartan iis are 7 feet tall, like Jorge, but the rest of noble team, including Noble 6, are spartan iii’s and shorter. thats why Jorge is so much taller and why Elites seem bigger in Reach.
Fun fact, in the space dogfight, the enemies' fire rate are tied to framerate. So if you're playing at 120fps, the enemies fire twice as fast. So it's even more impressive that Chronos pulled that off!!!
Its gotta be extremely stressful when the game fights you this hard on the first level. Hope the rest of the run is nicer to the runner. Halo reach is imo the best halo game so this will be a treat to watch
Getting my total Reach run under 3 hours was rough, many failed runs, with Long Night of Solace alone taking up over a quarter of my total time. Watching people like Chronos nail it back to back in half the time and in a single go is immensely satisfying.
It really is remarkable what skill and practice does. I got got pretty good (for me) times under par for every level when going for that achievement.. except Long Night of Solace. I haaaaaate that level
Why does it seem that this years GDQ is quiet? I've turned my volume up to max and it's still soft, and then I have to turn my volume down for every other video.
Bloom is actually just a visual effect and doesn't affect your aiming in the physical way being described at 31:30 (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloom_%28shader_effect%29). It sounds like he's just referring to gun recoil. 😊🏅
"reticle bloom" is the term for when the reticle expands and the weapon accuracy drops as you fire faster. it's not related to bloom shaders, and it's separate from recoil, which is _also_ there. it's a game mechanic that was introduced for nearly all weapons in halo reach (past halo games had some one-off cases where it would partially apply but it wasn't "standard")
That pressure launch glitch first try was absolutely insane! Props to Chronos for such an awesome run!
When he goes to take the ghost at 1:05:00 and says "hopefully we don't get shot by anything" and then proceeds to be shot by absolutely everything is so funny lmfao
The entire vehicle section was a cheek-clencher for sure, so impressive that he got it first attempt.
This is a pleasant surprise, I’m glad we’re still getting Halo speed runs!
1:24:08 swapping Sprint out for Hologram and Hologram out for Sprint is a clever way to reset that cooldown
Bryonato is everywhere and I wouldnt have it any other way. One of the best people you can have on the couch no doubt.
He's such a good guest for this, he asked all the questions I was wondering.
That's my homie!! I met him on halo infinite lol
Ngl the struggle at the beginning only to defy every odd and do a very difficult trick first time at 20:05 was fucking awesome!
Also 57:15 first try baby! The merciful RNG gods watched upon this guy again!
Landing that armor lock trick first try - that's insane. Way to go Chronos!
Chronos looks like someone who truly loves Halo games, viral love and care. Great run!
Love it when GDQ runners make insanely difficult tricks look trivially easy and then have to convince the audience how hard it actually is.
20:00

Instant classic! Have seen Chronos on the couch before, great to see his skill and an epic run!
Ranger seems like the kinda guy I'd love to play Halo multiplayer with. Seems chill af
That Nightfall trick was sick! 20:00

After seeing this I’m 100% convinced Noble 6 survived.
That armor lock trick first try…wow!

Chronos was so fun to watch, at points it was seemed like he was having as much fun watching his own game play as we were.
Sick run. That armor lock pressure launch first try was too hype.
Probably one of the most entertaining speed runs of all time. A must watch for sure.
minor lore point. spartan iis are 7 feet tall, like Jorge, but the rest of noble team, including Noble 6, are spartan iii’s and shorter. thats why Jorge is so much taller and why Elites seem bigger in Reach.
It’s a good day when a halo run gets posted
Tankless section was absolutely wild. incredible.
What a cool run, haven't kept up with Reach but this was damn entertaining
This is one of my favorite videogames ever. Top 5 for sure... I got so much nostalgia watching this. Thank you.
Great work to Chronos honestly!! You can tell he has vast knowledge about the run & just seemed like a sweet guy
ALPL first try is insane. Hell yeah, Chronos!
that pressure launch... omfg
Hell to the yeah.
Reach at GDQ
My favorite to watch run
Love this dude Chronos
Incredible run, great explanations to tricks and masterful executions. Love you Chronos!
Such a cool, clutch run. Fantastic and invested couch, fantastic, polite and invested runner. Great fun

Halo Reach is, and always will be, and incredibly beautiful game. When I first played it I was in awe how *crisp* the graphics were.
Incredible run! Thank you so much Chrono!
Damm that armor lock launch was fucking awesome
why are all of these GDQx uploads this year SO QUIET ??
Wow that way to start the package was clean and very well executed 👍👍
There were some moments in this run where it felt like I was watching a TAS, super good run for one of my favorite games
Its gotta be extremely stressful when the game fights you this hard on the first level. Hope the rest of the run is nicer to the runner. Halo reach is imo the best halo game so this will be a treat to watch
Clearing that hangar room so fast was legit. Felt like he was able to pick the enemies off faster than a person should
nah that armour lock was insane tho
Would love to see some Co-Op splitscreen runs of Halo at GDQ as well; regardless, well done Chronos!
That armour lock boost was insane 😂.
Great! Thanks!
The armor lock launch was so hilarious
Lore Accurate Noble Six
Absolutely insane skill to get that armor lock skip first try
That trick was awesome 20:00
As someone who has beaten Halo Reach on Legendary, it is tough. I actually used speedrun tactics to beat it.
Getting my total Reach run under 3 hours was rough, many failed runs, with Long Night of Solace alone taking up over a quarter of my total time.
Watching people like Chronos nail it back to back in half the time and in a single go is immensely satisfying.

That package run at 1:05:00 is just nuts.
Chronos a legend.
“Everyone dies….the end”
Ah fuck. You spoiled it.
Why is the audio so low in these recent gdq videos?
fr i cant hear it at all on my speakers, have to max it out on my headphones to hear them 😭 what gives?
2010
Me, “What are you doing tonight?”
My college roommate, “Reeeeeeeaaaach”
Great run!
is it just me or is the vod very quite?
Shame about the audio being so quiet, but this run was fantastic overall
Pressure launch!
the dude screaming at 1:06:00 was me too bro
amazing run
Sick run
I'm immediately fw chronos
is the audio really quiet for anyone else?
Yes
Why does it seem that this years GDQ is quiet? I've turned my volume up to max and it's still soft, and then I have to turn my volume down for every other video.
Say the words please
The words please
Fr tho amazing run man :))
Bryonato really does end up on every halo couch lmao
You can pilot the falcon in the first mission without having it flipped
Legendary
THE ALGORITHM REQUIRES ENGAGEMENT
eat you heart out cody! lol
Great video!
Every Halo game has had bloom though.....
YESSSSSSSS
I was there!
Great run. the audio is far too quiet though, and when an inevitable youtube ad plays my ears are brutally tortured.
Siiiiiiiiiiick
I did not know you could 1-shot a brute :v
48:06
why is the audio so low on all these uploads? I'd love to have them on in the background while I play something else but it's just too quiet!
@chronosreturns "There *are* a lot of enemies." Please watch your pluralization rules people. It's a dangerous world out there!😄🏅
they should have reset the timer when he reset the game on mission one tbh
Yeah :)
I can barely hear what they are saying
Video so quiet
Ads so loud
Can't you submit this as a 1:24? Since the run starts at your reset point, you were essentially starting a new run there.
so quiet. cant hear this video at all
Could this video be any more quiet?
Halo is a click every time

He's a big halo 3 runner
God I was so nervous lmao
