R.I.P super Dave! Thanks for all the laughs thru the years! We will miss u! My heart skipped a beat when I heard of ur passing. Our hearts go out to all family and friends! Thanks again super Dave!
Very humbled after watching the videos, loved Bizarre as kids growing up in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. Super Dave was the BOMB!! part of my heart aches. As we get older, we see this more often. Say a little prayer.
I have to admit I really wasn’t aware of him growing up then of course I watched Seinfeld whIch lead to Curb Your Enthusiasm. He was great on that. Then I caught the HBO MAX special The Super Bob Einstein Movie and after that I had a lot of catching up to do. I’ve been watching his videos non stop since. I WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT HIM SOONER!
And they do go in 3s KGW.com: Daryl Dragon, of 'The Captain and Tennille,' dead at 76. www.kgw.com/article/news/nation-world/daryl-dragon-of-the-captain-and-tennille-dead-at-76/283-625880020
First thank you all for making this one of our top three videos of all time on this channel. I just found out that @HBO is going to be releasing a tribute to Super Dave called "Super Bob Einstein" Dec. 28, 2021. I hope you enjoy it.
Bob Einstein, aka "SD"/onscreen producer of "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" and, o.p., of John Byner's "Bizarre": I'm, just, beginning to realise how many times you made me smile or, laugh or, grimace(in a good way?). Rest, peacefully, sir. P.S. Your brother, Albert Einstein, is pretty darn humorous, too!
He gives the same speech Evel Knievel gave after Snake River, hysterical: I wouldn't do it again. It was a mistake. I just want to be with my family." HYSTERICALLY CLEVER and right on the money satire=R.I.P BOB E.
Thanks for all the hilarious comedy you created Super Dave....you were so funny ! Bizarre and your Super Dave show were top notch comedy! Was fortunate to see you perform live in Markham, Ontario a couple times where you gave opportunities for up and coming Canadian musicians KD Lang and Colin James. You are a legend Bob....the one, the only SUPER DAVE Osborne!
I would watch BIZZARE religiously hoping to see super Dave Osbourne or John would try anything to get him to crack up but he never would he had a face of stone. It seems that these past couple of years we have had a lot of famous people of our generation be it actors or musicians passing away some more so than others and although he was more of a behind the scenes person on the show it was the two of them that made it work and left his mark and will be missed but never forgotten!
I remember him on Steve Allen as the Bird Man of San Quentin. He was supposed to have a bird ride a small bike, play a piano and several other feats. He opened the cage and the bird flew off. Einstein grabbed Allen saying, "I want my bird." He was on the show all the time. The next day, Allen had to come out and explain it was a sketch. People were ringing the phones off the hook complaining about how they treated that poor man.
May our Good Lord hold you close Bob Einstein, aka, SUPER DAVE!, you made me laugh for so many years. Just the thought of you brings me a smile. God Bless You and may His Holy Spirit Bless and keep you and all that morn your passing. This I Pray. Gods Speed Super Dave!
The brother of Albert Brooks. Bob won 2 Emmys in his lifetime. He wrote for The Smothers Brothers alongside Steve Martin. He was a cast member of BIZARRE (1979-86) where he perfected Super Dave Osborne. Bob you will be missed. Thank You for all the laughs.
Super Dave... I remember watching my foster father laughing so hard he would be crying. Always sad to hear that someone who made you laugh has passed on.
Never saw the Byner sketch "no, ... stop". Great stuff. As a young teen, I looked forward to Super Dave sketches as much as anything - wherever they appeared. I never tired of his very unique persona - whether Marty, Super Dave, or just himself. Very sad to hear he won't be creating new material - but plenty to watch already.
I appreciate the laughs Bob Einstein brought to my life! Super Dave was hilarious and what is seldom mentioned is his significant contribution to Curb your enthusiasm. RIP!
We all die twice. First when our body shuts down and second... When no one speaks our name again. This tribute is a wonderful gift to him. Keeping his memory alive means he will never truly die.
No one told jokes better than he did. Only one other person had a comedy mind like he did -- and that's his brother, Albert Brooks. 2 comedy genius brothers. Very sad loss.
It's the best I could do on short notice. Iswear to God I did not know how popular the man was until I posted this thing. And this was just something that was slapped together on action director in about an hour. He'll be missed, but he also lives on in every single video you can find on UA-cam.
showtime951 ... I thought he was sometimes addressed as "Super". In Phoenix, a kids' show, The Wallace and Ladmo Show, featured Pat McMahon portraying numerous characters, including Captain Super. He was sometimes addressed as "Super". His schtick wasn't like Bob's. He appeared in character and it was all conversation on stage. Hilarious in its own right. He also did a version of Jonathan Winters' Maudie Frickert. Pat's character was Aunt Maude. I think Dave's act may have helped Tim Conway do the Dorf videos. Comedy is funny.
Wow, I just found super Dave UA-cam videos, I used to watch super Dave growing up and I just turned my 11 yr old son onto him and my son loves him, & now he's gone..... 😔 blessings upon his family I m Y'shua/Jesus Name Amein

This Caper feels the same way, Tommy......Was, "Bizarre," aired on channel 4 or 5??......lol only 2 English channels, and 1 French.......
It's a small world. My mom and Aunt's family live in Cape Breton. I remember the Germans when I was a little kid.
Great video tribute! I remember when Bob was Officer Judy on The Smothers Brothers Show. Absolutely hilarious.

One of a kind. True loss to the comic world.

Rest in peace, Bob!

I think he would have hated the still shots to the sentimental music. Among the funniest men of all time. He'll be missed
