If your concrete floor is not perfect or near perfectly level and smooth then you will have to prep / correct it before laying hybrid flooring. We've installed 4 houses with hybrid flooring with so called professional installers and had problems each time as floor was ever so slightly unlevel. Some planks had to be glued. It is only easy if your floor is absolutely perfect.

You must have level floors for hybrid , they are unforgiving,

Will a 2mm underlay help with a minor unlevelled concrete floor, when using 9mm SPC hybrid timber flooring?

Hi. I need some help. I bought these laminate planks and they are 1213 mm long and 238mm wide. They are really wide. What lengths should I cut them? Should I use just full, half and quarter? I am scared it will look bad if I cut too many sizes. And if the super wide planks are too short. What would be the minimum length for a plank that wide?

Good information . What about hybrid flooring in a bathroom ? Can the floor still go straight onto concrete without any water prof prep such as tanking etc . ?

Thanks for the info mate, just wondering how you did your transitions? We've got tiles and we're putting hybrid flooring ontop and leaving carpets in the room. Would I need cut the tile to get into the subfloor to make a gap for the transition bracket? Any help would be appreciated.
