The steering it's not unrefined actually, it is built like that to allow for the precise steering which is one of the most loved area of this car. I could not finish to watch this video for the inaccuracies and the lack of homework on your part, before driving one of the best sport sedan out there
The steering issue up front is the Ackerman amount. It's an alignment setting that isn't ajustable. It's a design of how much each of the wheels can turn in high lock scenarios where the wheels are traveling around 2 different radii. It causes that skipping differential feeling you described.
i have experienced similar Ackerman issues on Volvo 740/940. (front engine, rear wheel drive) It happens less on new warm tires because the thread absorbs it. But when the tires are close to worn out and cold it'll manifest itself quite noticeably. Cool road btw. Nice for motorcycling.
You got the service throttle error / limp mode because you were left foot braking. This car (and many others) do not like having gas and brake pressed at the same time.
The biggest issue with carbon ceramics isn't the replacement cost but that they really suck in a daily driven car. You just can't generate enough heat in them off the track to get them up to operating temperature so they screech like crazy and don't even perform as well as steelies. I know multiple GT3 owners who took off the carbon ceramics and put on steel rotors because they couldn't deal with the noise and heat issues, not to mention not wanting to drop $15k on a new set of CC rotors.
Being an Alfa Giulia Quad owner for a year i can say this review is extremely poorly done. ur just giving wrong information again and again because you never understood or did research on this car. This car is Silky smooth in traffic. you need to put it in Normal driving mode. Even Dynamic is very smooth. Only RACE mode is jerk and its because of the throttle sensitivity and its for the track not for regular road driving. It gives you 44 mpg on the highway on cruise mode and is faster than many cars. It is not clunky and does not give that gunking sounds you are talking about. I have turned the front vehicle maximum to the right and left. I didnt notice any resistance. You should do ur home work before doing a review.
I think that there was also an issue with preproduction models been given out to reviewers or something along the lines of the earlier models being tougher / worse. I could be completely wrong but it was mentioned on a different (long termish) review by auto fanatic.
I own an '18 QV and agree with you. I've never driven a car that is so different in the different modes. In A and D, it's very smooth.......but the brakes, regardless of whether you get CCBs or steel, require some getting used to. After a few days I was used to them and could drive the car smoothly. The issue I found was getting in my wife's XC90 after driving my QV; I wasn't smooth on the brakes in her car... D and R mode, I find the car to be very high strung and very sensitive to any input, as it should be. I think the MMI interface is great - it's not overdone like most cars and I like the simplicity of the interior. Knobs and buttons for everything is a nice change of pace nowadays. I use CarPlay the majority of the time. When I use Google Maps or Apple Maps, it talks to me - not sure why Matt had issues with that too. I've had 2 Lotuses, a 991S, and a number of BMW M cars over the years - this car is in the top 3 of anything I've owned.
I can’t criticise 810,000 subs,a lot of hard work Matt,But I’m glad I wasn’t coming hard around that corner at 10 mins on my motorcycle.I know talking and entertaining on video takes a lot of concentration while driving, but.

Just bought my Giulia Quadrifoglio. It will be my fourth Alfa. I know people who have been buying them and not hearing any scary concerns. And yes many cars will through a code when nothing is really wrong. Both my Mercedes-AMG and My Porsche did that. If you want Toyota reliability, buy a Toyota.
11,000 trouble free miles in mine. The ride is more complaint than the Germans, makes it a good commuter car too. Have the steel brakes, and they are ok but agree that at low speed not the best, but you drive around it.
Feels pretty good apart from sometimes slow sop start traffic, but you get used to it pretty quickly, for me it's not a big issue at all. The rest of the car is just so amazing that it's really a small thing.
not really sure, I think they can, but I haven't done a track day. The braking performance is certainly impeccable apart from the slight feel thing at low speed.
Same here, both the 147 and 166. I tell myself I saved a lot of money thanks to this self healing system. Which actually makes it more reliable, coz if a BMW is broken: it's broken.
underwear check at about 10:12 into the video. THANK YOU for not editing this out of the video -- probably the most educational scene from a one take for new drivers, to be honest.
Come on Matt, I would definitely expect better of you dude:) NOT A-N-D, it's DNA D: Dynamic, N: Normal, A: All Weather DNA is available since 2010!!! It was first introduced with Alfa Romeo Mito. Giulietta, Mito, 4C, Stelvio, Giulia... all have it! It is kind of signature of Alfa Romeo. Still, a great review as usual bro.
That's not an argument, just lazy journalism : ) Other than that, great video, awesome looking roads, glad there was no oncoming traffic in that sketchy corner. Thanks for the review Matt : )
A couple of notes. I have had my 2018 Guilia Quad since 3/5 It is now 4/22 so a month and a half and have 4,500 miles on it. So I will offer some real lifed experience here. 1 Directions Through Sound System: if you want your directions to come through the sound system, use Android Auto or its Apple equivalent. Works great, displays Google maps on the dash system which I love for the traffic. 2 Crunchy Tire Sound: This startled me fieesg time I hwwa rd it. This is just cold tires. Once they are up to temp or the weather warms up, it goes away. 3 Catchy Brakes at 0 - 5 mph: Took me about a week to learn the low end of the brake system. I have no problems in stop and go traffic. Loved the review but I have to admit I am surprised that you took the time to learn what IBS stood for and not DNA. Odd.
I drive these cars everyday, and while the brakes are extremely touchy they are not as bad as people make them out to be in traffic. If you apply consistent pressure then yes you will screech to a fault, you have to apply a normal amount of pressure then let off just before you stop and then reapply pressure again. Hard to explain and also difficult to execute, but that's what makes it an Alfa I guess.
The first time I drove the quadrifolio I put it in race mode and almost imediately totaled it. I had no idea it was turbo and next thing I know, I’m looking out of both side windows, fish tailing back and forth. It was great, instantly became one of my new favorite cars.
To be honest, the steel brakes in mine are snatchy at low speed as well. You learn to live with it and it doesn't seem as bad as the ceramic equipped cars but it still takes getting used to. Often much smoother to double tap the brakes like a mouse button. No idea why it works better, it just does.
I would get the *Stelvio* Quadrifoglio. Just a bit longer and wider inside than the Giulia Quadrifoglio; my friends and I are 6'4", 6'2" and 6'4" respectively; the 6'4" friends owns a Giulia, and I can sit in the rear seat behind the 6'2" friend in the front passenger seat and fit without my knees touching, so just a touch bigger in every dimension would be literally perfect even for big guys like us. These cars are lightweight even with AWD, and the AWD actually makes the Stelvio QF significantly faster than the Giulia QF while retaining a RWD bias; 3.3s versus 3.6s both tested by Car and Driver. The Giulia DOES have amazing steering! You could steer around an ant at 60mph! The Stevlio apparently has the exact same steering feeling as the Giulia as well, from literally everyone I listen to here on YT. Alfa have made two amazing cars!!!!
Alpha did there best put every effort to build this car. Have to admit this is one of the best car i drove period. I liked it more than the F type. All M3 owners should give a test drive of this Guilia. I promise they will feel the steering how presise and quick it is, whatever Alpha did with a Ferrari heart but boy..this car deserve a lot of respect
The braking issue isn't even unique to the carbon ceramics, both the regular Giulia and Stelvio I had for a week did the same exact thing with grabby brakes at low speed and being smooth was definitely challenging. The only thing I didn't like about them driving wise. The brake by wire definitely needs some work, or thrown out.
that car is gorgeous i wish i could afford it it really looks amazing!!! completely different to any other car if i could i would buy it over any other car for sure!!
Matt the front wheel issue you're talking about is well known with the corvette (widebody C6's C7Z's etc) because the front tires are so wide, 285's, that in full lock the tires "skip" along the pavement, which is the feeling you probably felt. Although i highly doubt alfa romeo put 285's on the fronts of that car. Cold weather makes this issue more apparent. During summer i don't have this problem with my C7Z.
991s, 981s, and 970 Porsches also make that noise when in full lock durning cold weather due to the high steering angle. Clients complain about that all the time.
I'm Italian, Alfa called the best engineers from Ferrari and told them that they must build from zero something never built before, and Giulia got born, interisting fact the quadrifoglio is in fact the triangle simbol on the side and is historically found on the first race cars because it was said that brought luck
I work for Honda and my customer today traded in one of these for a Civic Sport Touring with Hondata. I took the Quadrifoglio for a few laps on the freeway, thing fucking goes!
I've had mine for a few weeks and never noticed anything bad about the brakes. Frankly mine has the standard steel brakes, but I actually love how responsive they are and it took whole 20 minutes to get used to them. Press them lightly and it's not going to be jerky. That said, I've never driven the car with carbon ceramics. Also I'm not sure why you'd need them on a car like this, steel brakes are more than enough.
@@Marc-wv1pr The reliability has been fine, but it's impossible to get some parts for them. Parts are back ordered and dealers can't get them. Not sure if it's my incompetent dealer, or a more general issue. If you have a good shop nearby that works on them, go ahead, these cars are pretty robust.
@@Marc-wv1pr the interior is great, no rattles. Build quality is good. One problem a lot of the cars have is the delamination of the infotainment screen. Whether it happens when you park it in the sun, or just from time, I have no idea.
The torque converter will disconnect when idling in N or A mode. Staying connected in D & R mode is a "feature". Braking can be a bit janky for sure (steel pads here), but you eventually learn to modulate smoothly with some practice. Awesome car!
i don't understand the purpose of drive by wire brakes if car manufactures are trying to reduce moving parts. I'll keep my dumb cars from the 90s thank you
Kyle Sandilands i like the feeling of being connected to the car. i want a cable connected to my throttle body, i want my brakes connected to a master cylinder, i want a tremec gear box that i shift. caveman stuff!
It took me 2 months to get use to the IBS when I got my Giulia TI. I literally could not stop smooth at a light, but once you get use to the car it isn’t too bad. But yes, brakes are the weak point of the driving experience.
That full lock turn issue is called tire scrub. Many cars suffer from it especially Maserati's and it's really nothing more than a slight annoyance. Different tire compounds can help alleviate this.
Very lucky someone wasn’t coming in the opposite direction at 10:00 on the video. Very serious accident almost certainly would have happened, scary stuff !!! I saw this car in Goodwood and I must say I love it !!!
Really loved this One Take, Matt. I've always been curious about the Giulia, thing is one hott ride. You went into great detail while driving this thing. And you mention very important pieces that many people don't mention on driving reviews. Always explaining the pros and cons very precise. Would love to drive one of these one day!
Great car. Great video visuals. Thanks for your time. I remember the offset driving position of the Alfasud plus rust that turned the car into a fred flintstone car in 6 months. That car in 1750cc overhead cam version would rev to the skies and throw you around corners like they were straight. Just don't leave it out in the rain as it was prone to leak and then the engine would refuse to start. Ahh happy days, when driving a Alfa was a different experience each time you took it down the road. This new car is in a different league. Forgive its faults and glory in its accomplishments and you will be rewarded each time you drive it. The word character was invented for this car and that will grow with you in time. German super saloons are clinical and do what they do with precision. However it is my belief that it would be the Alfa you would look forward to jumping into for a Sunday morning blast. Miles of smiles. Can't buy them in a store.
+Yazeed Saber - There's no doubting that the Giulia is an amazing car and it sounds nice but there are many nicer sounding V6s from the past. No V6 can compare to the V6 in the Ferrari 246 Dino and Lancia Stratos but I'd say that a first Generation NSX, Jaguar F-Type 3.0 Litre Supercharged, Alfa Romeo GTV 3.0/3.2, Lotus Evora, Maserati Merak, Renault Clio V6 etc all sound much better than a Giulia.
It's tire pop. Happens with a tight turn on cold tires. The Caddy CTS-V did this and when they first came out, people thought there was a problem with the car. Now it's in the manual that if you hear this noise it's not a flaw. It's also the same with Corvettes. There's a page in the manual that warns about tire pop. These are very low profile tires with very hard sidewalls. The colder the tire, the more it will happen.
Aside from all the posts about Ackerman, I might also suggest it is simply cold Pirellis. If the temps overnight were cold, at full lock these tires get rock hard. The scrub along the surface where you are turning. The 4 c does this but only in winter/ late fall.
I’ve got a Ti Sport, limited slip, adaptive suspension, and of course, steel brakes. I too, am not a fan of the idea of brake by wire, and hear all the chatter about difficulty in modulating the pedal. But...in my car, no problem with disproportionate response to inputs. Smooth stops. Only code so far was a CEL for an partially closed hood. Seems to be a common one. And the chassis and steering are on another level. If you like that kind of thing😋
I used to work down the street from there at The Village Pub, the road is definitely worth a drive. I loved when the bottom more straight part was empty and I could blast it in my 928. It was always a fun time.
I know exactly where you are driving... Everytime I go back to the Bay Area, I go there for an awesome drive... and I envy you :) driving the best car in the world in that road. :)
this guy is trying so hard 'not to like' the car! For Gods sake you are driving a car that was engineered by the same guy that engineered the Ferrari 458, its got carbon fibre prop-shaft, carbon fibre bonnet and has beaten the time lap of its main rival (the m4) by 20 seconds! You make an 18 minute video and you spend 7 minutes of it bashing on about how you dont like the brakes! He barely mentions anything about the engine which is a proper masterpiece. By positioning the turbos in the "V" the managed to eliminate turbo lag making it feel as close to a natural aspirated engine as possible!
Giulia QV is like a hooligan version of the M3, it's got more personality than M3. It makes more power and have drama. F80 M3 doesn't sound as mean or throaty. This does.
To be honest, when has the BMW M3 ever been reliable? They're money pits that crack subframes and blow head gaskets. You might as well go for the Alfa. Your wallet will lose either way but your smile will be worth it.
I have a 20 year old Alfa. Never went wrong. Honestly, both are fantastic brands that put out great driving cars and you can't miss with going wither way. Hey, at least it isn't a Honda!
My 2018 is the shit. You should preface that this is your opinion. I don't have any of the problems you mentioned. The brake by wire works great once you get used to it. As a consumer, if that bothers you, that should be as part of your buying consideration. Me, the QV has the temperament of sports cars costing five times the price. This is a Ferrari in sheep's clothing and is worth every penny.
The problem talked about at the 11:30 mark... The Fuel Pump is cooled by the gasoline in the tank. If you get real low, and you are driving hard, it can throw a code and get into limp mode. Give it some juice, and as said - fixes it's self. It will also do similar if you cheap out and use regular unleaded sometimes. The car demands Premium fuel. Proper Care and Feeding of Giulias is essential.
Ian McDonald yes - it is an amazing car. A real super sleeper if you like that sort of thing. It has incredible acceleration (4.5 secs), a very good 8 speed automatic and a good balance between comfort and sport. Also - they are incredible values in the used market
One thing you can rarely say about Alfas....that they aren’t very sexy or styled very attractively. Although this can be at the expense of other features but those of us that like to drive cars that are molto bene, drip sexiness and certainly won’t hurt your style (unless you dress like a schlub, in which case you need to apologize to the car). That popoff wastegate sound is almost crackly like an exhaust misfire. Very cool.
I used to have an S60 R. It was quirky, reliability was ok, and sometimes not as complete a performance package as the E46 M3, B6/B7 S4, and other mainstream competitor. However, like the Giulia QF, it had personality and loads of it! It's been two years since circumstances pushed me to sell that car, and I'd be lying if I said I don't think about it/ miss it at least once a day. Want one again, and if it has to be a replacement then QF is one of the few cars I feel could give me that same joy after riding in one a while back. My 2017 Si, like the M3 is the class leader but it has zero personality, no quirks, and numb in comparison. Reliable, fuel efficient, great handling car, and quick with a Hondata tune, but that's about it. Always go for the quirky option, people!
totally with you on that: dont be another sheeple. I have a Saab and an Alfa Romeo and love them to bits. Cars that make me want to drive them on a Sunday morning.

This car (and many others) do not like having gas and brake pressed at the same time.
The best sports sedan ever created. Ferrari in a sedan body. Legendary.
Alfa is now making cars people want. Get the car with steel brakes.
Flame Beats the whole point of them is to not replace them...
Luke V if you own them longterm you'll have to lol
The biggest issue with carbon ceramics isn't the replacement cost but that they really suck in a daily driven car. You just can't generate enough heat in them off the track to get them up to operating temperature so they screech like crazy and don't even perform as well as steelies. I know multiple GT3 owners who took off the carbon ceramics and put on steel rotors because they couldn't deal with the noise and heat issues, not to mention not wanting to drop $15k on a new set of CC rotors.
Ask the AMG owners about everyday squeaky noises, on a car that cost 3 times more than this one...
Yupp, carbon ceramic breaks are useless if you dont track it every day.
THANK GOD, I haven't pooped in DAYS and One Takes are the only laxative that works.
Maybe Alfa Romeos give you IBS?

@Anton Zuykov Congratulations. You have found the joke.
Adore this car. Prob the best sedan out there. The new M5 is great but the Alfa is a better value.

No to ceramics. Don’t do it... not necessary for street driving.
You lost all credibility when you claimed 44mpg.
@@OverclockN You know it has an eco mode which shuts off cylinders and gies pretty decent mpg if cruising at like 60mph right....oh wait, you didnt.
I can’t criticise 810,000 subs,a lot of hard work Matt,But I’m glad I wasn’t coming hard around that corner at 10 mins on my motorcycle.I know talking and entertaining on video takes a lot of concentration while driving, but.
Pls don’t stop doing one takes I love them. the channel is build for one takes
M3 driver here but the Gulia is really growing on me. Man I need to find out where this road is, looks amazing.
Angry 8 that is highway 9 heading towards Felton and Big Basin
supersnake19 thank you!
Angry 8 no problem. I love driving the road myself and I'm always happy to share it with others
Matt did say he was north of SF, which would rule out Highway 9
dms105 that may be in reference to that he is up in Northern California rather than the usual spots in Southern California.
In addition, I drive 9 regularly and I recognize the route.
One of the best One Takes in my opinion. Really showcased the shortcomings and quirks of the car.
Is the brakes by wire ackward feeling, or does it comply nicely? I'm sketchy about anything by wire that isn't the throttle.
Do you think the steel brakes can take a beating? Like on a road rally or racetrack?
Feels pretty good apart from sometimes slow sop start traffic, but you get used to it pretty quickly, for me it's not a big issue at all. The rest of the car is just so amazing that it's really a small thing.
not really sure, I think they can, but I haven't done a track day. The braking performance is certainly impeccable apart from the slight feel thing at low speed.
Seems like it should be software adjustable?
We Alfa owners have a name for that autorepair function, S.H.I.T self healing Italian technology
Mike Arthur 😂😂😂😂😂
Activate by repeatedly calling out, o shit o shit o shit!
My Alfa just SHIT itself!
yea i own 156 and i can relate to that sistem
Same here, both the 147 and 166. I tell myself I saved a lot of money thanks to this self healing system. Which actually makes it more reliable, coz if a BMW is broken: it's broken.

Come on Matt, I would definitely expect better of you dude:)
NOT A-N-D, it's DNA
D: Dynamic,
N: Normal,
A: All Weather
DNA is available since 2010!!! It was first introduced with Alfa Romeo Mito.
Giulietta, Mito, 4C, Stelvio, Giulia... all have it!
It is kind of signature of Alfa Romeo.
Still, a great review as usual bro.
Rahmi Tanır I hate acronyms. All of them are stupid.
That's not an argument, just lazy journalism : ) Other than that, great video, awesome looking roads, glad there was no oncoming traffic in that sketchy corner. Thanks for the review Matt : )
How bout MILF, u no PIMP
The A now stands for "Advanced Efficiency" in the Giulia. They haven't changed it, just the name!
Nerds, it doesn't make a difference.
He didnt say the problem was carbon ceramic brakes. He said its the electronic braking.
that car is gorgeous i wish i could afford it it really looks amazing!!! completely different to any other car if i could i would buy it over any other car for sure!!
It's DNA not AND btw :D
P.s. D stand for Dynamic, N for Normal and A for All Weather
Someone that knows a little thing about Alfa's DNA. Thanks aleksa
Wrong. D. Dynamic
N. Natural
A. Advanced efficiency
I love just about everything about this car.
I love the insights you give in these videos that are of actual value for potential buyers.
Passion vs. perfection. Itallian vs. German. Life is a journey.
Sometimes there's just too much tech in a car. Still love how it looks, sounds and the performance it has. Like the longer video.
I really come here just for Matt's imitations of sounds that cars make.
Also I'm not sure why you'd need them on a car like this, steel brakes are more than enough.
how has reliability been? I'm close to getting one!! Is Interior holding up? Rattles?
@@Marc-wv1pr The reliability has been fine, but it's impossible to get some parts for them. Parts are back ordered and dealers can't get them. Not sure if it's my incompetent dealer, or a more general issue. If you have a good shop nearby that works on them, go ahead, these cars are pretty robust.
@@Marc-wv1pr the interior is great, no rattles. Build quality is good. One problem a lot of the cars have is the delamination of the infotainment screen. Whether it happens when you park it in the sun, or just from time, I have no idea.
@@petrenko_racing thanks so much for the feedback!
The torque converter will disconnect when idling in N or A mode. Staying connected in D & R mode is a "feature".
Braking can be a bit janky for sure (steel pads here), but you eventually learn to modulate smoothly with some practice.
Awesome car!
I know, why didn't he know this? Other auto sports cars do this as well...
the reference to the ferrari is correct the lead engineer from the ferrari458 project was hired to design this one from scratch
i like the look of the Guilia, but the idea of drive-by-wire brakes doesn't sit well with me
Me neither, once the cpu or actuator goes haywire it's over. I don't even understand the point of brakes by wire in a damn PERFORMANCE car in general.
i don't understand the purpose of drive by wire brakes if car manufactures are trying to reduce moving parts. I'll keep my dumb cars from the 90s thank you
Prius has this feature and they drive like asshats
Kyle Sandilands i like the feeling of being connected to the car. i want a cable connected to my throttle body, i want my brakes connected to a master cylinder, i want a tremec gear box that i shift. caveman stuff!
Quady Mcflyface awww Hell nah, I'm not that caveman 😅
It took me 2 months to get use to the IBS when I got my Giulia TI. I literally could not stop smooth at a light, but once you get use to the car it isn’t too bad. But yes, brakes are the weak point of the driving experience.
Yay, a one take.
That full lock turn issue is called tire scrub. Many cars suffer from it especially Maserati's and it's really nothing more than a slight annoyance. Different tire compounds can help alleviate this.
Great review Matt. The car seems to have a combo of rawness and great styling at the same time. I'd love to own this just to be different.
Very lucky someone wasn’t coming in the opposite direction at 10:00 on the video. Very serious accident almost certainly would have happened, scary stuff !!! I saw this car in Goodwood and I must say I love it !!!
Had a F30 M3 and got rid of it to get the Giulia Quad...best decision ever.
Really loved this One Take, Matt. I've always been curious about the Giulia, thing is one hott ride. You went into great detail while driving this thing. And you mention very important pieces that many people don't mention on driving reviews. Always explaining the pros and cons very precise. Would love to drive one of these one day!
Is it possible that the 0-5, 5-0 jerkiness is because of race mode?
actually when i drive in race mode is only time the brakes arent grabby lol
The Alfa is a car that can do a triathlon, where as the M3 is a car that can do a decathlon.
M3 is nothing compared to the Alfa. Dull and soft.
M3 better
I’m here after watching the G80 M4 TST review!!! I’m in love. Giulia Mia Cara ! 😍
Never has a V6 sounded this good.
*a turbo V6, only a v6 auto commodore can be a worse sounding engine than any turbo v6 imo
350z sounds better to my ears
are you crazy? For a 2018 car the sound is okay, but not more
+Yazeed Saber - There's no doubting that the Giulia is an amazing car and it sounds nice but there are many nicer sounding V6s from the past. No V6 can compare to the V6 in the Ferrari 246 Dino and Lancia Stratos but I'd say that a first Generation NSX, Jaguar F-Type 3.0 Litre Supercharged, Alfa Romeo GTV 3.0/3.2, Lotus Evora, Maserati Merak, Renault Clio V6 etc all sound much better than a Giulia.
they are both good for v6's in there own respects, i think most people prefer the deeper snarl like exhausts though. i do myself.
That's the Big Basin Way! You tested this on my favorite road! I know because I take my S3 there almost every other weekend!
can you tell me where is that ?
I’d take one of these over a bmw. Everyone and their grandma has a bmw this would be a rare site.
Matt, if you're coming up north you should consider checking out highway 35 & hitting up Alice's Restaurant! One of the best driving roads in NorCal
I used to work down the street from there at The Village Pub, the road is definitely worth a drive. I loved when the bottom more straight part was empty and I could blast it in my 928. It was always a fun time.
He actually visited Alice’s. It’s on his instagram.
The sheer excitement of the Alfa makes me want it more than the m3

Its not "alfaism" its the ackerman steering geometry ...the corvette does it to. Being an ex c5 guy you should know it.

this guy is trying so hard 'not to like' the car!
@s n let him be, we alfa boys dont shit on bmw's because we focus on our cars.
The Turbos are actually outside of the V to be pedantic, but agree that this car is a masterpiece! Love mine!
That looks majestic in that colour
Oh my god that sounds good.
Your wallet will lose either way but your smile will be worth it.
and Alfa's only like to kill their electrics - their engines [especially their V6s] and other running gear are bulletproof.
Had two M3’s,E92 & F80.
Never an issue.
Alfa will break your heart, beautiful but flawed

My 2018 is the shit. You should preface that this is your opinion. I don't have any of the problems you mentioned. The brake by wire works great once you get used to it. As a consumer, if that bothers you, that should be as part of your buying consideration. Me, the QV has the temperament of sports cars costing five times the price. This is a Ferrari in sheep's clothing and is worth every penny.
Exactly! You would have to spend 150k plus to get this feeling anywhere else
chebrneck - I concur! You are spot on although my QV is a wolf in wolf’s clothing. An apex predator for sure!! 🐺🍀🇮🇹

Matt listens to Brand New?!? That's one of my all time favorite songs too
That car is the dogs nuts!! Love it, sounds mega too!! Good vid as usual!
Wow that was a proper fuck up, good save though
The problem talked about at the 11:30 mark... The Fuel Pump is cooled by the gasoline in the tank. If you get real low, and you are driving hard, it can throw a code and get into limp mode. Give it some juice, and as said - fixes it's self. It will also do similar if you cheap out and use regular unleaded sometimes. The car demands Premium fuel. Proper Care and Feeding of Giulias is essential.
My Jaguar XF 5.0 supercharged does the same thing when turning full lock. It drives me crazy.... that a $70k car has that issue.
Strunz0 Cars do you like the handling otherwise?
Ian McDonald yes - it is an amazing car. A real super sleeper if you like that sort of thing. It has incredible acceleration (4.5 secs), a very good 8 speed automatic and a good balance between comfort and sport. Also - they are incredible values in the used market
Strunz0 Cars sounds like a small annoyance during low speed tight turns and the trade off is worth it.
Ian McDonald correct. You only hear it and feel it at super low speeds - identical to what matt showed in the video.
Very cool.
Looks and sounds incredible.

I love this car.
Even though it is one of the last One Takes from Matt this one is awesome. Great car, fantastic roads and a funny and self-ironic Matt! Spot on!
Maybe it's so jerky in 0-5-0 because you were in race mode?
Randoom doesn’t matter the mode; brake feel is constant across modes.
Aw that's a shame then. Seems like a fantastic car otherwise. I should at least take one for a test drive.
I don't have this problem in Giulia TI.
TheSmokingTire... dude, regular brakes with different pads fixes everything. The electronic braking system isn’t the issue.
(Alfa owner) super reliable! Just hit 50k mark
