@@simday169 Nope you still can't really use your islands decor items and terraforming is locked to end game basically not to mention if you place a house in the way of your design it costs you 50,000 per move. AC looks so cute but after a month playing it gets a little stale. Then you have the fact that Nintendo locked all the yearly events behind updates that they release smh 🤦 its a mess

and that's exactly why I haven't bought Sims 4. My best friend has been begging me to get the game since it first released. Her main reason? "The mods make the game so fun!" I just stick to Sims 3 at this point and hope either Paralives is great or Sims 5 is a lot better than it's predecessor.

yup. seasons, parenthood, cats and dogs should be base game. all stuff packs should either be base game or merged with other packs. or just merge multiple packs, i have a whole document on my computer detailing which packs are perfect to be merged - like vampires, realm of magic and spooky stuff and possible werewolves should be in one big improved pack.
i also feel like some packs are just stuff strung together, like why does get to work have aliens? and then it has baking? and then shops and then careers? or like movie hangout with the hipster focus, why? why not make cinemas a lot type in like get famous and make a dedicated hipster pack that could be merged with eco lifestyle? an eco hipster pack if you will. of course i know the answer, it is to charge 10 bucks for some objects most people will never use because they bought the pack for popcorn and big TVs which you can actually do in build mode yourself.
overall the sims 4 is just the next step a clever company like ea would take. make a good game, great sequel, then test the waters with a slighly more dull sequel that removes details and then remove even more and make more expensive stuff in the next installment. its really sad but ea figured everything out and brainwashed a ton of fans with sims youtubers, their practices and pretty looking games. what is the best part of the sims 4? great cas and build mode. and a ton of people spend hours creating their sims and houses for them. myself included. so build mode and cas objects feel like features in the packs. it is no accident that a lot of packs are just nice looking things with very slight gameplay tweaks. ea is a lot smarter than people give them credit for. in fact a lot of people think that ea while greedy are just confused. no. take a good look. these are not the good guys

Dude as an 8 year old in 2015 my dad gave me the task to bike like 4 miles without stopping in order to get the premium version, and when I finally did it the only reason I wasn't disappointed was because at that point I only had 3 for a short time and kept getting distracted by watching vixella instead of playing it

I want relationships to be more developed. I feel like it’s just friends - good friends - best friends like theirs no dynamics to them at ALL. And for me being someone who’s a big sap, it’s kind of disappointing to me. Going back to friendships and such, I wish you could have different types of friends y’kno? Earlier today I was playing island living and showed my mom my tiny house. She asked me where their car was I said theres no cars in the sims. She saw my sim’s husband and said that he looked like he surfed. I said there’s no surfing in the game. Then there was a random guy on my island and she asked if I could ask him what he was doing there. No. My mom: Then was can you do??? Me: Nothing, that’s the problem

@@whywhowhatwhere May I remind you that patches/updates were not a thing before in the sims 2, so they couldn't make toddlers or pools 3 years later, while now they take updates for granted. The only updates they could make was via expansion packs, and they never had to add any sort of major feature on an update. They made a great game the moment it launched, they didn't have to make 1000 million expansion packs and updates to "fix" the game. 6 years later and the sims 4 is still inferior

I felt the part when you said the gameplay is in your head. There's literally no sustenance to the sims and the "aspirations" and the "traits" do literally nothing for them. Even the added emotions did nothing
Story progression in Sims 2 and 3 helped my gameplay. I would have plots in my head but the Sims gave me twists that would force me to change my story and I loved that! It kept me on my feet.
I agree. You only get depth with traits if you use cc traits. aspirations are literally hopeless.

The funny thing is literally every sim builder likes to pair Tiny Living and Eco Lifestyle together in builds.
I remember when I heard about sims 4 I was like " Damn they made sims 4!?" Since I only heard about sims 4 in 2018. I begged my mom to buy it. She bought it and me and my sister played. We had a fire so we waiting for the firefighters to arrive. They didn't and my sis wax like " Is the game broken?" We found out Sims 4 had no firefighters at the time. Then my sis said "let's go to the grocery store." No grocery store. Then after 30 minutes my sister said "this game is so fucking boring." " I was yeah let's go get the sims 3 it's still in the garage." Ever since then I stopped playing I only play when there's really nothing to do. Sorry if there was any of grammar mistakes. TS3 Supernatural expansion for example introduced vampires, witches, fairies, zombies and werewolfs. New world with 55 lots. Huge amounts of new interactive objects, new Jobs, traits, skills, harvestables ect...
In TS4 you would need to buy 5-6 expansions to get same amount of new content.

Sims 4 is only enjoyable if you add a bunch of mods to the game (like slice of life, realistic relationships, life tragedies etc), these people literally “fixing” EAs game for free

The reason why the Sims 4 base game was so empty at launch was because it was originally going to be an online game, but they scraped it because of negative responses to another online Sims game. Instead of taking the time and waiting to make a good, fleshed out base game, they salvaged what they could from the cancelled online game and released the Sims 4. As for the packs, I always thought they were not fleshed out because they were trying to make it accessible to not as good computers, but then they changed the computer system requirements like a year ago and we still have trash packs. A few months ago, I stopped giving them the benefit of the doubt and realized EA is scamming us.

What they did with sims 4 legacy which allowed players with basic laptops to play was good. They should have just done it in the first place.

My dad bought packs after they stopped updating and after they wouldn't show up in game I was told it was because they stopped updating the legacy version, just left it in the dust. So what was the initial inclusion of older computers for? If you were gonna make a patch for them and not update it. And then you still don't fix the problems you left in because it was for the "older computers"? They never gave a shit

I just recently started playing sims 4 and the more I play the more I realize how much stuff is lacking that the sims 3 had. Somehow the sims 3 just felt like there was more realistic gameplay. I want packs like world adventures or ambitions or even late night. Those all added so much to the gameplay.
The packs are lacking. Most of the packs could have been merged. Why have seasons AND A HALLOWEEN AND CHRISTMAS PACK SPERATE? When I bought get to work, I was disappointed that you couldn't have a restaurant. I'm confused, isn't that a job? Why have just cats and dogs? I have a pet bird. Why should you have a toddler stuff pack? It should have been IN THE GAME. We should have had a lot of features for free and it sucks. They're just now giving us firefighters and ladders. The game was basically a demo when it was released.
honestly the fact that the halloween pack came out, and then the christmas pack (that they updated to include other holidays!! they UPDATED IT AND ADDED MORE STUFF) and then seasons added holidays is SO SUS
I literally play the game with 2 packs (city living and season) with a TON of mods and I don’t feel the need to spend my money on any more packs because my mods give me the gameplay I asked for

The Sims 1 & 2 were the generations I grew up playing. Personally, I think Sims 2 was the best, most detailed iteration of the Sims to date.

Especially when I heard you had to wait for loading screens with everything you did, no thank you. Sims 2 and 3 did it right. They gave us the features and packs we wanted first (that gave us stuff from the previous game in the series), THEN they gave us "new" expansions. If they had done that with Sims 4, it wouldn't have been as much of a problem. EA is still greedy as hell, though. I do not even understand why we have gamepacks; they take away from expansion packs and just make us spend more money.
I disagree on the spending more money we are spending about the same as we would on sims three expansion packs but we are getting less and that i find even more unacceptable
Sims 2 expansion packs radiate chaotic energy. Nightlife, Open For Business and Seasons are god tier. For absolutely no reason, University has Zombie, Nightlife has vampire and Apartment Life has witches. TS4 be like "lets make those separate to scam more cash 😬"

No toddlers, pools, cars, relationship system is lack luster. We also didn’t even have ghosts in the base game either... the game felt extremely unfinished when it dropped. I can’t play without mods anymore because at this point.
It also came out one year after the last expansion pack in The Sims 3, definitely rushed! They should have worked on it for maybe one more year, or at least couple months

Having a long and extensive family tree is literally what kept me playing so when I peeped that I paid 75$ only for it to not be in the game, I was livid. Even now that we have it, mine glitches heavily and I wish my sims acknowledged great grandparents like they could in Sims 3.

I feel like all of it is extremely rushed. I got The Sims 4 deluxe edition when it first came out and it was okay. Definitely much prettier but BORING so I played Sims 3 for a long time afterwards then got Get to Work once it came out but it wouldn't even let me use it. I bought it and origin kept telling me the servers were down so I didn't even get to use it for literal years. The base game was so horrifically boring and the "expansions" were so expensive and lackluster that I gave up on it. I love The Sims 3 and have been playing since it came out, have almost all the expansion packs, and even played the first and second Sims when I was much younger. It's really sad to see how down hill it went they can't go from the amazing Sims 3 to lackluster Sims 4 that's way over priced
