Careful of feeding him too many goldfish, too often. They’ve a chemical in them that can build up in the turtles system and make him sick. They’re good for an occasional treat though. 👍🏻
They are not good. Not even as a treat. And this amount is definitely not a treat. Goldfish can cause inflammatory issues. Kidney failure and liver failure over time. Minnows are a much better option.

Because animals, even fishes, are living beings and making them have a painful and stressful death is not humane. You're the right one for feeling bad for them.
Soooo your saying by catching fish it’s animal abuse? Because the snapping turtle is hunting. It’s natural. If he wasn’t in the bin he’d be doing this as well.
As someone who keeps and raises goldfish, this video really breaks my heart since these fish are not given any chance of survival. This is not natural. Things don't go this way in the wild 😢

Get that turtle a proper enclosure. With plants natural substrate and all. Then feed it once a week small amounts and add rocks and such so he has to do effort to get to the food. That will make him loose weight.
No, it is not like in nature you guys. In nature, fishes have tons of chances to survive and escape, here they are literally in a circular tank (which is too small for the turtle btw) that gives no option to flee, and they die painfully and stressfully. Buying already dead fish isn't that hard, wtf.

I think bigger enclosure would give the fishes more room to roam, so they're less likely to be stressed out, healthy feed means healthy pet 2. More room for fishes to roam means the turtle needs more effort to catch them, helping with the exercise And only after typing this whole comment does it occur to me that this clip is months old, so I hope there's something

Not all are aggressive like that, depends on how you raise them. Also, if you look at the comments you need to do some research on what to feed them.
