Wow. Finally. I’ve watched so many “modes” vids and this was the only one that made it far too ez. How you don’t have more likes is a damn shame. Thank you for making it so simple with the diagram shown !!!!
As far as understanding the modes and improvising this has changed my life thankyou Bro i run through this as much as possible i cant tell you how this has improved my improv and my playing as a whole
Ya that really makes a difference when you pause on the root note that just playing it all the way through and then back again I totally got and heard the difference.
Thank you! This is such a simple and effective lesson on modes. I have been struggling to understand modes for the longest and found this gem❤ Modes made so easy to understand.
Yeah this is very helpful. I've been playing the full positions from "edge" note to edge and losing sight of the roots. Sometimes the root is on the A string and I don't want to not learn the 2 or 3 notes on the low E but I do tend to get lost. Thanks for this!
Excellent! I definitely think the root to root approach can be a game changer and is the perfect remedy when not seeing where roots are in a scale or mode. Glad it was helpful!
Great Video. Thanks Jared .I noticed one small mistake you made .When playing the aeolian scale you forgot to pause on the root (at the 15.52 mark) . :)
Bonjour Jared.
Seems strange to present modes without any substantial focus on the underlying harmony ,i.e. chords/progressions) and how it relates to the melody. i.e. context
