I'm glad you mention how sales were going. Would love this to be a topic in a Q&A video. How sales fluctuate, have you seen a big change in what and how you buy etc. Love all the videos!
Hey Karen, tell Roger I bought the Smokey Bear Keep it Green shirt from his ebay store for my 21 year old son. He's a forestry/wildlife and fisheries major at Penn State, senior year!
Karen-I met you and Roger last week in this Goodwill while we were on vacation in Lancaster. We volunteer at our church's thrift shop in Oak Grove Va. You were so friendly and kind. I am up to 70 listings this week on our ebay account for the store. All of the inventory comes to me at the shop! Thank you for your many inspiring ideas on how to increase sales!
I love the end where you showing what you sold and how you’re packing it and what you sold it for. You both are so genuine and I love watching you 2. I also like your ending.😊
Hi Karen! I just wanted to say thank you. When you go thrifting, and when you share your basement time, it feels as though I am being welcomed by you as a friend to come along. I love this about your channel.
Karen, you open my eyes to so many items I would just breeze past or wouldn't look up. Passing up so many treasures. It's such a joy to see you and Roger! Thank you for everything that you do🎉
I love that Roger talks so much more these days! I’d love for him to get a channel & put videos out on the days you don’t! It would be fun to hear how his brain works & what he is thinking when he’s picking up items! Come on Roger!! You’d be instantly monetized because we’d all want to watch your channel too! Karen can only put out so much content!!! ❤❤
Idea!!! Write SOLD on a small white blanket and take with you to the store. That way people "may not" look thru your stuff. You could start a trend! HEHEHE
I'm not selling much anymore, but I know American Girl accessories and furniture sell very well...not huge money, but decent profits. I was looking around in GW the other day and picked up an AG doll bed (Angelina Ballerina blue with a little mouse on each of the 4 posters.) It was in very good shape and generally sells for $35-$40 plus shipping.
I know, right? I always hit the like before I even start watching. Karen never disappoints! I don’t understand why more people don’t hit the like button, especially knowing it helps the content creator out! I feel it’s the least I can do! 😊
I love how you show the whole shelves, also when you explain about the items. We really enjoy your channel. Liked Roger's Philadelphia Eagles shirt. I'm from Philly
That card of sure someone can pound a nail into ceramic without it breaking….my guess is the one with the larger holes is for the pepper - I’ve seen s&p sets before where one has larger holes for the pepper.
Hi, I wonder if those vintage taper candles would have been ok if the buyer was willing to use a heat gun or hair dryer to straighten them. I would have cut them down to the characters and lit them to look like they had been lit and burned to that point. They would have been a cute vintage Christmas item to decorate with.
Toy Car isn’t much of a risk, since the charger alone would cover the buy in cost. Replacement batteries, which are the common failure point in such cars, are available on line too.
Karen I just love your videos! Back in the late 1970s I had a hippie neighbor who made macrame curtains for her apartment and she had a pair of hangings just like the ones you show in this video....she put round glass in the bottom of each and hung them from the ceiling on either side of her sofa as end tables. Great find!
You’re our fave thrifting couple, sis and I love you both so, so much, truly extremely a joy to watch, thank you beautiful souls, the best of the best for sure. 🌻🦋👑👑❤️❤️✨✨
Hello Karen, I would buy the gold salt and pepper shakers. The bigger holes are great for coarse ground black pepper. I'm just sayin'. Thanks for ypur pitch on being a reseller. I often thought about it.
The irish mug is Wade. It's quite recognisable, so once you see a few pieces, you'll notice it from miles away. Some pieces are worth a lot and some not so much. Probably a good idea to look each piece up to check.
I live in Harrisburg and shop at the old factory antiques all the time. I looked for your booth and found it. it’s very nice. I didn’t buy anything that day, but I will keep looking.😊
Maybe if people are going into others carts, it’s time GW set up a holding area for their customers . They could charge a small refundable fee to hold it somewhere . When the customer comes back to retrieve it , they get their deposit back . Love the raku , even marked that way on the bottom .
then you'd have to trust the GW employees not to see it and decide 'that wasn't supposed to go out' 🤣 I'd just go through checkout, offload into my car and go back in. Sadly I've never had a cart be full before I'm done...
The difference between Satin glass and Frosted glass can only be felt by texture. Sometimes that can be tricky because of the techniques they use....most satin pieces are smoother and more transluscent acid etched and less shiny. If the frosted flass feels rough, it was sandblasted. Good question! To me, no difference, the design of the piece itself generates the value.
Oh my gosh. I paused your video on the Jesus Never Fails Sign. I enlarged. It appears to say Claire Mullen. That was my Godmother’s name. She passed about 8 years ago. I don’t remember seeing this in her home, so cannot say it is hers. What a coincidence
You looked at the small Corelle plates with the little hearts before you saw the bowls and dinner plates..... you didn't go back and get them. You walked right by them while you were talking about the different resellers you see in the stores. I was yelling at the TV 😂 love you Karen
The way you’re looking at Roger in this thumbnail pic❤ I feel the same way about my husband. The French lamps, so unique. I’m always drawn to unique and colorful items.
Around the 29 minute mark, you showed a stein. It’s Wade Ireland. Very distinct colouration and design. It’s lovely porcelain that, depending on the item, can resell for decent money. Looks like that stein sells between 20-25, depending on the design.
I think you got that basket from the trash while driving, I may be wrong, but I know in that video you found a couple or three baskets that were really nice..
I can’t believe people take from your carts, wow. You should get customized whole cart covers with elastic gathers that say ‘Lavender’s Cart: Do Not Take What is Mine’. 😁
Bowl! Another one of my weaknesses 😫. So many to choose from. Glass bowls, pottery bowl something for every occasion. I have more bowls than occasions to use them. 🤷♀️ It’s always interesting to me how eclectic your choices are when thrifting. You have an appreciation for many different styles. Obviously that works very well for you. 😊
7:36 I absolutely love the Quimper horse lamps! What a great find! 8:53 Yvon with Thrifty Rich would love the Raku pottery. I love it, too! 10:09 The mushroom clock is so much fun! 19:04 I absolutely love this floral print! It is stunning! 🌺🌸🌼 31:00 this wooden stand is awesome! 33:40 What a fun red Mercedes! I drove a red Mercedes for many years 😊 34:48 -Finally, the black ship art is AMAZING! I think it’s my favorite find on this trip, even though you didn’t get it. Thanks for another great video! ❤
You too share so much great information about what to pick up for resale. It is so worthwhile to watch your videos. I look forward to watching your videos each week. Thank you so much for everything that you do!💚
You're not crazy - since of the old Dollar Tree stuff was actually pretty good quality. I've picked up a couple items over time - things you'd never guess ever came from there - like some pottery made in Portugal and some from Mexico.... DT is 35 years old - so some is truly vintage!
Regarding the large black ships painting - this is factory art, commonly made in Indonesia, Thailand or Bali. The workers make the same painting over and over again via step-by-step techniques, then sign it with a random Western name to give it cred 😆 They were very common for many decades, I think probably the 50s through the 80s, so they have vintage value now. ❤🔥
heyKaren, so funny about the Corelle that you found and you saying that there’s so much of it all the time. I literally cannot find any at all around here and I’ve just been looking for some matching bowls to my white set.😂😂 also, I was tickled to hear that you are also an August girl! In our family, we have birthdays for girls on the 11th, 13th, 18th, and my daughter will turn 18 on the 28th and I will have a birthday on the 29th! I don’t know if you are in the Virgo part of the month but if you are, you can imagine what it’s like with myself and my daughter in the house together. strong energy!
I absolutely LOVE the large pot you found on the cart they vrought out. It is gorgeous! If i had found it, I wound have hugged it on the way to pay for it immediately, thinking that it isn't really mine until it was safely in my car. So beautiful.
I just want to say I love love love watching you and Roger. I have learned so much from your videos. I don’t know how you do all you accomplish in one day. I appreciate you and if I do see you sometime thrifting I’ll be so nervous to say hello.
That knotting at the top of the macrame hangers is definitely vintage because I haven't seen that done for years. Most people nowadays don't seem to bother with it.
I'm glad you mention how sales were going. Would love this to be a topic in a Q&A video. How sales fluctuate, have you seen a big change in what and how you buy etc. Love all the videos!

Hi Karen! I just wanted to say thank you. When you go thrifting, and when you share your basement time, it feels as though I am being welcomed by you as a friend to come along. I love this about your channel.
The male cardinal does feed the young. Used to have a male that would bring the young to my back patio and bring seed from my hanging feeder to them.
also, only the male birds are red
I made macrame plant hangers back in the 80’s. They were a thing! In the 70’s macrame belts and purses were so much fun.
Macrame was a thing, and it is a thing, again. Has been on trend for a few years now.
I made a macrame owl 😅
An idea I have for you is to carry around some small bungee cords, to hook multiple carts together. It would make it easier for you to shop.🤗
The pineapple is found in Early American decor, a symbol of hospitality
What a beautiful couple you are!
Karen, you open my eyes to so many items I would just breeze past or wouldn't look up. Passing up so many treasures. It's such a joy to see you and Roger! Thank you for everything that you do🎉

I think the Pickard salt and pepper shakers were fine. The salt shaker holes are usually bigger than pepper holes!
The instruments are American Girl. I think the guitar is retired and can bring a nice amount.
I'm not selling much anymore, but I know American Girl accessories and furniture sell very well...not huge money, but decent profits. I was looking around in GW the other day and picked up an AG doll bed (Angelina Ballerina blue with a little mouse on each of the 4 posters.) I was surprised she did not google them
@@mariaroldan4200 I was waiting for her to take the instruments out and look for a name on the back.
They seem more like Barbie sized than American Girl doll size 🤔

Love the pottery 😍 that would so good with large greenery like olive branches right on your coffee table!
Thank you Karen for the giggles and smiles👍❣ Much love to you both🤩
That card of sure someone can pound a nail into ceramic without it breaking….my guess is the one with the larger holes is for the pepper - I’ve seen s&p sets before where one has larger holes for the pepper.
Yes coarse ground pepper needs bigger holes
Those were definitely for an American Girl Doll - probably pleasant company originals. The instruments 🎸 ❤️

To make the Squishmallow smaller to ship Roger could use those bags you suck the air out of with the vacuum!😊
🌷🌷🌷Oh my, TECO auction is doing well. Love the QUIMPER lamps ....what a score how exciting! And Dear Lord the Raku ... stop it
Another way to use the blanket is to put it in the bottom of the cart to nestle your fragile items against. I saw another you tuber doing that.
Karen, those instruments are music boxes. They have a little music box twisty handle on the back.
Macramae plant hangers should do very well with the Boho style and Mid century style. Not many people know how to construct those.
Thank you for reflecting the Lord.
The lamp/candlesticks can be returned to candlesticks by removing the lamp parts.
Toy Car isn’t much of a risk, since the charger alone would cover the buy in cost. Replacement batteries, which are the common failure point in such cars, are available on line too.
I knew the Teco would do well! Yay! So happy for you. It’s just fun to find these treasures! 🙏❤️
Love the horse lamps...chips don't bother me...matches the rest of the stuff in my house!
You will get them from Karen?
Yes, daddy cardinals do feed their babies. I saw 1 feeding 2 babies 1 time.
Daddys are bright red. Mama's color is more muted.
Karen I just love your videos! Loved the floral picture, beautiful! Both you & Roger are commical, love to see the two of you havung fun
Raku is well known. I love love the lamps.
Make cardinals are the red birds. Females just have a bit of red on their head but more light brownish.
You looked at the small Corelle plates with the little hearts before you saw the bowls and dinner plates..... you didn't go back and get them. You walked right by them while you were talking about the different resellers you see in the stores. I was yelling at the TV 😂 love you Karen
Small plates don’t sell well for me
The colourful shirt in the first few minutes of this video has Australian Eastern Rosellas on it. Cute, from an Aussie viewer
I always wanted a husband help me do the same but instead I live threw you ..ty for sharing

The Irish mug is Wade Irish Porcelain. I picked one up that’s similar. It hasn’t sold yet, but it’s very good quality.
