At this point I'm wondering if there is anything you cannot make with bamboo. It is unbelievable the versatility of this material. And it's Grass, big honking Grass. And yes I know it's not a literal statement.
I have a friend in Kansas who tells me she's afraid hers will take over the whole farm... so... we can grow it here too... the glue from the inside of the stalk creates a tremendously strong bioplastic with paper and I soak bamboo in it with a little acetone as a solvent and the bamboo is no longer brittle... it carries a dust that makes it flame resistant... good stuff... better than cutting down trees... way way better

@@RickarooCarew I know right, just really big grass grows quick and sucks up all kinds of carbon to boot. But. There are places it is banned or heavily regulated because if not contained it will become a serious take over everything type of problem. LoL
Laminated bamboo fibers, sort of like a heavy duty tempered hardboard? Add a bit of “resin” to make a waterproof version?
