You can use the exterior suppy panel to block off the supply duct drop and prevent the burn off from going into the tenant's space. Or maybe use your torch to burn off the oil before install. Thxs for the vids!
Yea I do that sometimes too. 🤙
Nice work Jeff 👍
Thanks friend! 🤙
Great job Jeff always enjoy your videos
Thanks man.
Nice work 😊
Thanks brother
Nice professional repair
Thanks
Hi, what's your method of taking the heat exchanger up to the roof? Great video. Thanks
Fixing the torn off insulation is easy, what doesn't work is spray glue or using tape. I just cut some strips of sheet metal, end up making a bunch of 1.5 x 1.5" squares. Then use self drilling screws in the center of each to hold the insulation in place, I don't think it gets any simpler than that. What a pain to replace a heat exchangeer, thanks for sharing - Jim
I hope you issued the customer the standard York tail light warranty.
Sorry you had to do that. Alot of liabilities there. I would have condemned it. On the other hand, now it'll only need the usual stuff... blower motor, board, pressure switch, inducer.. lol. Dont forget the blower wheel. Nice work though my man!! Got em goin on the cheep. 😁👍💪💪
Worked on a few buildings recently where its just 6 inches of flashing with no gutter. Any tips on securing the ladder better?
Sounds like a pain. I usually try to hook my bungee cord under the flashing in those situations.
That's one chewed up heat exchanger 😂
You got that right!
Why all tubular heat exchangers aren't mandated to be stainless is criminal. But then again, how many instances do we hear of CO in a commercial space?
Very true.
It's a pile of York.
