Hey guys, so sorry ATC chatter was difficult to hear me on some parts! ATC in south FL is NON STOP! I’ll try to turn it down even more next time to help this, but unfortunately, muting ATC on an IFR flight especially is not possible 😅 Thank you all for watching & for feedback!
Just wanted to thank you for such a great video. I’m a retired AA Captain. I took my first lesson on my 13th birthday. It’s so cool to see you so excited about flying as as I was. Your Skylane (Mojo?) is beautiful. I have a 1947 Cessna 120 that I bought when I was 14 and I’ve had it 50 years. Take care!
Mindy- you need to crank up the microphone gain from your headset. The radio is loud, but you are difficult to hear. I have noticed this on several of your videos. Listen around 23:30 for an example. Video is GREAT!
That is hands down, with absolutely no doubt, the prettiest 182 on the planet. Thank you for letting all of us who are struck with envy the opportunity to get a good eyeful when you take her out. Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Hi Mindy. I met you on the CitationMax channel and now I am a subscriber to your channel starting today. I am not a pilot but love to watch these videos to apply any procedures to my use of MSFS (I know it is not the real thing, but it is as close as I can get to a real-life opportunity) Thanks for making these videos!! Looking forward to more.
Thank you, this is possibly my favorite aviation video ever! So much traffic, thank you for keeping the radio live & loud because that's the way it is. I was glad you had the power of a C182 to avoid nearby traffic and then you were asked to reduce speed! Keep chasin' tailwinds and wet a fishin' line whenever possible. I also enjoy Hubby's controller insights - that could be a pioneering UA-cam channel but would decrease fishing, life, etc.
My first flight with Scmindy… it was great to watch. Referred by Citation Max. Two great pilots on UA-cam! Thanks Mindy. BTW… the first time I ever flew was with my A/P instructor as we flew from Spokane to Seattle and back. His Straight-tail 172 had the same color scheme as your 182. This was back in 1973. Very reminiscent! Thank you for that too, Mindy!
It's such a pleasure to watch you fly and how professional down to earth you are and enjoying every minute while I am jealous every minute. Health has kept me away for a while. Live the dream young lady
Another fun flight. You're the coolest pilot UA-camr. I knew it when I saw you wearing your Vans UltraRange shoes - the most comfortable on the planet. All I wear. Look forward to the Extra video.
Love the Video,Pilot,Plane and your piloting performance. All around, I love your videos. Ive been flying since 1975 and am not current right now due to high cost of flying so i enjoy watching your flights Thanks for filming your flight. John
Fun flight Capt. Mindy! Love your reaction to being told “you’re too fast”. I have to say, the autopilot is a real game changer! Thanks for taking me along 🤗
Gosh this is so cool! I absolutely love that pilots can just meet and greet and get together on cool projects and literally fly to each other, that's so cool!! I want to do that! I love the idea of being like you want to meet for a project or shoot and then you can make that happen by your own skill and merit. Nothing wrong with buying a plane ticket and all that but there's just something so much cooler about being the one to fly out wherever you wish on your own. I'm envious of that kind of freedom.
Hey, Mindy! Love watching your flights. Learned SO much from you during covid lock down. Earned my PPL based on many things you taught me during this time. Your awesome, will always follow you on your journeys!! I owe you so much!!
This is the coolest lil Cessna I’ve ever seen! Love the Crome and teal together ( wow ) stunning ! The avionics in there ( OMG ) to die for ! Beautiful..
Loved your series with Citation Max and now subscribed to your channel. I do not have a pilots license but really enjoy just watching you fly. Thanks for bringing me along for the ride.
Years ago, flying from Sun 'n' Fun to Clearwater in a '56 Bonanza, we were routed by Tampa at 2000 aligned with RY 9/27 (now 10/28) right over the top with ground ops below and flights above. Felt like flying through a donut hole! Similarly on an Angel Flight from Mobile to DeCalb=Peachtree we were routed over the ATL VORTAC at 2000. ATC was "on it" for both flights even though we filed IFR (in VMC) way around their airspaces. Awesome handling! 😀
Funny you'd mention the "chatter". At times, although you are lovely, I was straining to hear ATC. :) I guess my training keeps them a priority over cockpit talk. BTW, your landing was a pure greaser!! You're a real pro. Thanks for taking me along.
Hi Mindy, First one of your videos I've seen, great job! You are very professional in how you fly. What really caught my eye was the plane, a 1957 C-182 in original but better than new condition! Beautiful! Whoever restored it did it right, even the updated modern panel still maintains an era correct feel.
Terrific plane and pilot! Very enjoyable flight. Just sold our C182 - N21205. My husband and I owned and flew it for 30 years. Keep up the excellent work!
All my hours with ATC Chatter in my ear on flight sim paid off watching this and I was able to drown them out. Lol. Sometimes they just pick up really well on the recording. Its all good though! Great video as always!
Hey Mindy......as a ERAU alum (1977), I know.....I'm old....I enjoy the channel. Taught at Riddle for two years while going to school. Keep up the good work! BTW, I visited the campus recently and didn't recognize the place!
Hi, Mindy! Found you through CitationMax and this is first video I've seen with your plane. What a BEAUTY Mojo is! Can't wait to watch more of your adventures in the air.
Hi Mindy, always enjoy your vids, one thing that will help please reduce the radio audio by 3 to 6dB it will make your voice come through more clearly.
Very Nice C182! Love it. I fly a 1956 H35 in NC and hope to make the run to South florida in the next few months....... Safe travels and keep posting more videos!
Hi Mindy! This is Steve from Spruce Creek. I really like your vintage, polished aluminum Skylane! You both are a class act! I also admire your editing skills. I'm still learning when it comes to editing! If you guys are looking for a place to fly, please let me know and fly the 182 over here and we'll do breakfast or lunch at the Downwind Cafe. I'm glad your back in Florida. Fly safe!
I mindy hope you are well.brilliant vlog with the scenery looked awesome. I am glad you have got used to all the controls and the mfd it will make it so easier for you.take care and I look forward to seeing your next vlog phil. Good luck with the new plane you are going to learn.
What a cool flight, its so strange seeing you fly solo again😉Everything handled professionally as always, awesome job Mindy👍Looking forward to seeing you fly the Extra, that should be a lot of fun😁
I fly out of GMU in Greenville, SC. I fly to Florida often, but it always kind of spooks me a little because it seems like the weather changes quickly sometimes without warning and the entire state is basically a Bravo airspace 😆
I fly an Archer with an AeroCruz100 autopilot. No pitch servo. It’s very very pitch trim sensitive, so I do the same as you and kick it off and manually trim now and then.
Hey Mindy, enjoyed the trip down memory lane as I did my IFR training at Orl Exec. Quick FYI the radios were a bit loud so at times it was hard to hear you. Enjoy the checkout!
@@Schmiiindy I understand about the traffic, seems to be getting busier and busier. BTW I’m sure you’ve flown to St. Augustine, but just in case you didn’t, would be a great place to go!
@Schmiiindy. Hi Mindy I don't have a telegram account. Is there another way to talk that would work? If not, that's OK. Love your Spirit and will still enjoy your videos. Also, my name is Greg. I just used my brothers lap top to send my message.
Your communications are excellent - no wasted words. One suggestion: early in the video ATC asked you to stand by and you responded “Roger” and added your call sign. The proper response to a Stand by request is …. No response. He wants you to standby
Excellent air work out of uncontrolled airport into IFR busy MCO airspace picking up IFR clearance after departure then loading route in panel…and making a narration along the way! Whew You were steps ahead of the trip by anticipating ATC directions, expecting cloud layers, approach and taxi directions. I fly a Cirrus in Florida and it takes me ground time to utilize ForeFlight to plan such a trip, Question:How do you eliminate the cockpit clutter and just use the notepad occasionally? People don’t realize the 50-step sequence you just did and made it look easy. Especially the ILS approach being ONLY vectored to join the LOC not cleared for ILS. You caught that right away which entails a HDG mode on AP not a GS capture mode. Thanks and nice flying
Schmiiindy, Watching your video I noticed that the cam looking at right wing is showing a slight stream of fuel under the wing at the flap gap. If it was a small fuel spill, no problem but if not you should check that out.
Hi Mindy, When you edit you need to get your interphone audio levels above the other chatter. I can pick it out, being a pilot, but others seem to have issues. Great flight and I agree to test everything when you have options. Now you can count on the technology.
theres something magnificent about seeing other planes in the sky , while ones self is airborne , kind of like transiting thru mid - heavens with the citizens above .. . .lol . ..

No worries, that’s real life!
Safety first. This was great, thanks for sharing 🙂
Any reduction in ATC volume that we hear would be appreciated. I can’t hear you when ATC is talking.

Im doing better now. Great video thanks !

Ooo. Dig those early model 182s. 😊 Purrrrty

I like that! No burn-outs and driting from one fix to another😂
Your Skylane is a treasure
Thank you for sharing this

Its always a good day for a new video from Mindy! Really enjoyed your videos in the CJ3+ with Max. You two are fun to watch working together.
Always a pleasure to fly with you Captain Mindy
Love listening to her when she’s talking to ATC, her voice is calm, cool, and so gentle!

I enjoyed that. The continuous patter was excellent, explaining what was going on all the way. A good intro to budding IFR trainees.
Between you, Stevo, and CitationMax.....I've got ALL the UA-cam channels I need! Really enjoy your videos! An old open cockpit pilot from Ohio....!
What a great 182. A thing of beauty. And you fly it like a star. Impressive.
Great video Mindy. That is some busy airspace. Love the channel especially with you and Max. Be safe.

Such a beautiful vintage plane, Schmiiindy.
Looked like it was a beautiful day for flying. Both you and Mojo look fantastic. I especially like the blue hue on her fuselage at 11:59

Even though the audio was a little off, I really enjoyed the flight. Thanks Mindy.
Thanks for the video. Your 182 is the coolest 182 I've ever seen. Really like the retro look.
Beautiful airplane!
That shot of the Spirit Airlines 🤷🏼♂️, as you crossed over MCO was spectacular. Great content. Love the polished aluminum and teal paint👍🏻.

02Delta is such a beautiful plane. Good flying, Mindy.
I used to work line mx at MCO. I don't miss the weather, but I'm sure the airport is much more pleasant when viewed from a GA aircraft
I'm jealous, I so want to fly. But that radio is busy, LOL. Beauty landing btw
Great video as always. Also that Cessna is a BEAUTIFUL MACHINE.

Wow 02D looks so good! You should get some air to air shots of it with you at the wheel

Love watching your flights! Thanks!
