The person or parent who devides is also in control. And control is one of the most important things to a narcissist. It is like this saying 'two dogs fight (the siblings) for a bone (the love of the parent) and a third (the parent) runs away with it. '
“The needs you didn’t get your needs net was NOT BECAUSE YOU’RE too much or TOO SENSITIVE!!” I NEED THAT ON REPEAT!!! 😢😢😢 I was THE same way as your client in her 30s- I too was ‘calling out’ truths…. And got Gaslit from age 3 on! (I remember DEVASTATING conversations had around me about me at age 3!!)

I was completely overlooked. It was all about my sister the "Golden Child". I taught her how to dial the telephone using number's. I was 7. She was 4. Yes. She was smart. I taught her. Nobody acknowledged my role as a 6 or 7 year old teacher. My mother couldn't get over how smart my sister was. 😮

You will make a great mom. My mom legit called the cops on me made up a story of abuse so I would lose my education to work with kids.
I went to court. For the first time she had to show proff and she had none.
She had to pay for expensive lawyer which my lawyer was my friend. She caved and wrote a legal apology of how she may be wrong with what happened. And she had to pay for the apology letter.
Now she won't mess with me.
Cut her off and only contact is when she emails which I send to my lawyer and got a restraining order on her.

Maybe you could do a video on NPD siblings. I have a vulnerable NPD mother, an enabler Dad and two of my sisters are NPD and one is a malignant NPD. I am labelling to give you an idea on their characteristics. I have 7 siblings. All of us have personality disorders (anxious avoidant and anxious pre-occupied and dismissive….and other things I don’t even know. I have separated from the family after being emotionally abused to the point when it became physical and I needed up in ER. Sibling jealously and codependency has been ongoing on such an unhealthy level.

My oldest sister actually hates my sister and I having any relationship with our mother so she constantly mocks or highlights everything our mother does or doesn't do that is negative. I believe she feels she didn't get what she needed from our mother and is now turning us all against each other. She also needs to be the centre of attention and tries to control all the gatherings she is involved in to be in her favour. I've been told "don't tell mum anything" and then she will go and tell our mother things I've specifically said not to share.

And yes, my sis is still somewhat in denial... like she acknowledges it -intellectualy- but not really on a deep level, and does everything from there. I think because it still works for her system's way. The problem though, is that it is a denial and she put us in the same "reality" and energetically it feels off.
I think some of this applies to me and my brother! it's his birthday in a few days and I've been thinking I should congratulate him this year.. 🤔anyway thank you! I always love your videos.
btw another topic I've been wondering about is the balance between not needing to seek external validation and the natural need humans have for community and support. maybe you could make a video about that one day, I would love to hear your thoughts, but no rush, maybe it's something I have to figure out for myself! 😅
