I’m hoping to do some travelling to China in a year or so, having visited it once way back in 2007. Needless to say, my project for the coming year is to learn Mandarin. I have to agree with other comments - you both look good in the traditional dress. On the phone / VPN situation, I think if you have a e-sim capable phone, things are much more seamless than for phones with physical-only sims.

Qing dynasty, the last dynasty, the decadent and corrupt dynasty of China! Their traditional dress court was the ugliest vis--a-vis the other dynasties of China's! Fortunately, you guys were donning, if I'm not mistaken, the traditional Chinese dress instead - the hanfu 汉服! And you guys looked great I should say!
