Hi Mutasem, it's really impossible for me to say without knowing your accent or your ability to self-diagnose. I have had several students that show remarkable improvement from daily repetition of certain problem sounds or words. Sometimes when doing that, tension can creep into the jaw, which is where exercises like this come in handy.
You guys are amazing! I´ve been studying english for 5 years now but i was not able to get a good pronunciation untill i watched your 6 videos of Vocal Exercises. i thank you so much for what you have taught me in these videos. I´m not a guy who likes adding comments on youtobe videos but i won´t feel right if i don´t take the time just to let you know how greatful i feel for what you`ve done for me. blessing
I took lots of courses and nobody told me I should drop my jaw. I just realized I do not open my mouth enough. Because it is kind of rude in Turkish language and even in English I have kept my habit. I will try to make it more relaxed and open. Thanks for this great video.
My jaw feels THE MOST RELAXED ITS FELT IN MONTHS!!!! I hadn’t warmed up for months! Using this for audition prep ! Fingers crossed for me! Thank you so much!!
Hello Rachel, Your vidoes are absolutely helpful. My trainer always recommends watching your videos to improve in various ways. I specially like to watch most of the vidoes on sounds (be it any). Keep spreading knowledge, we are watching you and learning. Appreciate your work. Dhruv From India 🇮🇳
i have bruxism so i'm not really here for pronunciation reasons but that does sound really helpful! having bruxism makes my whole face structure hurt a lot, so i try to look of relaxation exercises to help ease the pain
Definitely for grammar and vocabulary. But if you need to prepare for exams where you will be judged on your British pronunciation, I would try to watch mostly British TV and to practice the British pronunciation with a coach who has that expertise.
Hello Rachel, I am interested in this video; so, I decided yo translate it to my original lenguagge. It was hard to do, but I think it is important to learn English; so, I hope everyone enjoys my translation to Spanish. By the way, I'm from Perú and I love your videos. It is really worthy to watch them and learn from them.
Thanks so much Cristhian! It really is such good practice to translate. Thanks for introducing yourself! I hope you'll keep on watching all the videos :)
I enjoyed it, thank you Rachel, it motivated me to apply this with my pre school english teachers. Because, the way how they pronounce the children will do. Awesome!!!!
I'm so relaxed I can hardly leave a comment. (And I'm also listening to Neil Young Le Noise - oh boy, that stuff is sleep inducing. Pretty good but definitely sleep inducing. At least some of it.).
It is an awesome video lol however, I am still quite confused about the meanings of "not use the chin to drop the jaw" and "release face muscles". Does it mean we don't use any facial muscle when we move our jaw down? Rachel, can you explain a bit more about it?
I'm very confused. I always watch videos, TV shows in American English. but my school tests and exams on listening skills and interpretation as well are all in British English. Is it possible to practice listening to English in both two kinds of English accents, teacher?
hello. I'm 29yr female. i was born with cleft palate. i got surgery at age 2. i have nasal voice and difficulty with N.L.NG.M. i feel my palate is tired when speaking. can i speak correctly with abnormal structure in my mouth??
