I wish I had the break-away feature of your plow. I bought an old Ferguson 2-bottom plow for my property in the foothills of Northern Colorado before I realized how rocky it is. I've got lots of sub-surface flagstone, so I expect my moldboards are just gonna break when they hit something without warning.
I have a 1958 IH 350 TA, and 6 acres (tillable) of very rocky ground in Missouri. I also have a 2 wheel walk behind 1957 tractor. I plan on doing a little block at a time to get the rock out as much as I can. Eventually I am going to be growing Lavender, Holly, ETC. Some of the rock are just too big to move without a D-8, so thank to your vid, I plan on just going around them, thank you. Best of luck to you!
Never dealt with rocky ground but always tried to break ground in late summer and fall. If done in the spring you ran the risk of getting rain and not being to get in the field till late unless you were capable of disking or running a field cultivator before the rain came....
