Hey friends! I hope you enjoy this month’s plan with me video ☺️ This is probably my favourite monthly setup to date, I love the balance of function and minimalist with the small touches of decoration! Oh also, I know my bullet journal system has a lot this month, so if you want to see a video where I explain my current system in depth, let me know!
Another vote yes from me please ☺️ I actually already have this question when still in the middle of watching, how do you plan & connect all the spreads (monthly - weekly - finally daily)? Thanks in advance!
I’m intrigued by the idea of putting all the weeklies together! I have a monthly log but I find myself referring to it very little because my weekly has a greater level of detail that I prefer. Putting them altogether kind of acts like a pseudo-monthly while also keeping that level of detail! Definitely going to be trying that out when I do my setup tomorrow :)
Yes exactly! I love getting detailed with my weeklies too, what I do to effectively use my monthly task list is I view it more as a ‘might do’ list versus my weekly is a breakdown of stuff I’m actually going to do ☺️
New subscriber! Thank you so much for sharing your minimalist journal set up. Your videos have helped me so much and I will be borrowing most of your set up and adapting as I move forward. Allowing myself to have extra “white space” is so freeing. Thank you again 🙏
Love it, I’ve set myself up with a blanket for a little Kaitlin video binge while I do some journal decoration, it’s that kind of evening lol. I like my weeklies together too, I keep them in a separate book as a memory-keeping thing. It seems to be working well for me atm 😊
Absolutely beautiful your minimalistic style! For march I setup all the weeks together too, I was missing some structure for my days in daily log format so I'm trying a weekly log now, plus I'm using an A6 size notebook, for now I'm enjoying, but I miss some kind of "blank" space that you mentiotioned in this video.
Thanks Thalita! Ooooh I see, I can imagine it would be harder to have more white space since the a6 is a bit smaller, depending on how much you write, maybe breaking up your daily logs into a page per day may introduce a bit more breathing room!?
I so enjoyed your monthly set up! I happened to set up the last two weeks of February weekly spreads together and planned on setting all the weekly spreads after the monthly just like you did. My question to you is, what benefits does putting the weekly spreads together give you? Also, I have abandoned all my tracking for March too. I just found that I wasn't getting anything from it. I really am a daily planner and I can record what I need in the daily page and that is enough for me. I did put a list of reoccurring tasks/habits on an index card and I'm putting it as a "tip out" that way I can just flip it open to glance at it should I want to do it during my day.
Thanks Karen! So the main reason I decided to put all my weeklies at the beginning of the month was so they’d be set up and ready for each week, so when I sat down on the weekend to plan my next week, I could just focus on writing out my focuses and task list, instead of creating the layout. I’m with you, I realized this year I’m such a daily planner as well! OH WOW, that’s a great idea with the tip out index card, I’ll have to try that out next time I’m tracking a habit
@@KaitlinGrey Thanks for answering my question. My reason for moving my weeklies together is that they would allow me for better reflection because I can just look on the next page to the right for the next week. This makes reviewing my weeklies easier and then since I dump everything in my daily pages those can take up many pages. Also, I keep my weekly pages updated so they are a reflection of what I accomplished that week. I use the Alistar method too for my weekly spreads. I might have to try a day per page. I'm definitely okay with white/negative space. My index card is nothing special, I just list the repetitive tasks that I need to do. I do not check them off. I just look at them and if I do any of them then I sometimes record it in my daily page. Really, it serves as a trigger list. Some days I'm in rebellion and just don't want to do any of them!!! By the way, I am moving to a ½ year A5 dot grid Stalogy for March. I'm working on setting it up today so your video was timely. I wanted to go lighter this month but I wanted something with a decent amount of pages. I am using a zipper bag from Rickshaw Bagworks to carry my bujo and writing/personal journal and 3 fountain pens. I like it because I can then throw it in my mini backpack for on the go.
That’s such a good point Karen, having all your weeklies together would make reflections easier and I bet it would be easier to spot trends as well! I’ll have to see if I find that as well when I do my February review. Oh cool, love the half year Stalogy, it’s so cool that you can go for the lighter half year or the chunky full year version! And that sounds like such a cool pen/journal case, kinda reminds me of my delphonics case!
@Kaitlin Grey look forward to your February review! I have the delfonics case too but it is different because I’m using it like a cover and it has no pockets just a plain zipper pouch. You can customize your items, choose your fabric. But the fabric is high quality and waterproof. All my items are quality. Unfortunately it is a US company, so I’m sure that means higher shipping prices to Canada. If you are familiar with Goulet Pens, they carry some of them. That is where I discovered them but I went to their website because I wanted different color choices. I’m just finding that leather covers add too much bulk for my tastes.
This was a lovely video! I have been putting all of my weeklies together in a row before starting my dailies for quite some time now and it was a game changer! It has saved me so much time and stress. Now I want to try putting my dailies all in a row before my notes... Thanks for that idea! May I ask how portable the a5 Stalogy is? I'm on the go with my kiddos a lot and need to take my main bullet journal everywhere with me. I haven't tried this brand yet but would like to. Thanks in advance!
Hey Hannah, thanks for the lovely comment, I really enjoyed reading it and hearing about what you do in your bujo ❤️ oooh yes totally try the dailies in a row, I love doing it like that, it opens up so much space for notes! To answer your question about the Stalogy, I mainly work from home rn, but I carry my bujo everywhere with me (around the house lol). I find it’s pretty portable, since the thin paper makes it to be a pretty standard sized notebook (it’s a similar thickness to a LEuchtturm, or any other bound A5 book). I would recommend to put in some sort of pocket, or sleeve if you’re taking it around outside, just because the softcover will bend (although the material is durable). I use a delfonics pouch to carry mine around and that works great!
Hey Lilian, thank you so much! I'd be happy to answer your question :) I have one tab for my goals spread, one for my monthly spread and one for my future log! I also use a book dart (not a tab but it marks off the page) to find my daily log easily!

Yes! And I would also like a walk through of how you use all the spreads together when planning.

That’s a great question, I’d be happy to talk about that and go into migration stuff alongside and overview of the system!
