Eastleigh you will see high-rise residential buildings everywhere.
The community is known for its strong sense of identity, rich tradition and hospitality.
The community's delicious foods like "canjero", "Somali pasta", are prominent.
The population adheres to Islamic religion with mosques and madrasas spread everywhere in Eastleigh.
Eastleigh is a residential center, educational center, recreational center, beside being majorly the business and commercial hub of Nairobi.
Several historical landmarks are located in Eastleigh like Pumwani maternity hospital which was one of the oldest hospitals in Nairobi serving the community since 1926.
Eastleigh high school established in1956 also stands as a significant educational institution.
