How To: Octavia VRS [2017 3rd Gen 5E facelift] Resonator Box Delete Pipe Fitting

Quick video showing how to fit the resonator box delete pipe to a 2017 Skoda Octavia VRS (a 2017 3rd gen 5E facelift model).
These are an incredibly easy kit to fit but here's a video to guide you through the job if you aren't sure. Follow along as Dr. Nuff abuses me for being an idiot (well deserved I guess!) and we get the job done in twice the time he would have done it on his own!

We are lucky they are slightly relaxed about this in the UK. I expect this won’t last for long though 😔

Have done this to my 2018 mk3 facelift and as long as its in low revs you wouldnt notice but as soon as you accelerate it makes a fun sound especially at faster gear changes it makes the dsg fart XD

Did anyone have issues with EML coming on after fitting the system? As I’m looking to do this on my mk3 Octavia VRS

EML not affected, just removes a resonator from car. No issues 😊

@@luke5488 if you are concerned about pressure change causing issues it wont, the resonator is a tube with holes in it that at lower revs the exhaust gasses enter the holes and disapate sound however when at high revs acts more like a straight pipe, in this regard the only difference is when the car is in lower revs the full sound comes more naturally through. My car has had it for more than a year no issues but sounds great.

@@automotivetales Ahh thankyou, I'm about to do this to my 2021 Rs Iv....wasted 3000AUD on a Remus Exhuast that resonated and droned terribly....I just want a GTI or close to sound.

Buys special tool, mainly uses angle grinder anyway....
