Bravo, my friend... bravo! You are the *only* person who has a video review who has shown the *proper* way to extend the legs! As you correctly demonstrated, you're supposed to do them *first*, *before* unfolding everything, when you can use both of your feet to pull out all four legs at once. Even collapsing it, you do it last where you can again, easily do all four at once. Everyone else is tripping over themselves trying to do it after everything's unfurled. Pony needs to hire you. That said, I did laugh when you were removing the clamp from the table and said 'You can also remove the bench dogs' then flinged it off-camera where you hear it zing off the table and clatter down onto the floor! Totally cracked me up with that one!
Wow, that table is so versatile and leave it to you to figure out all the ways to use it. This might be a nice gift for my handy wife. Great video mi amigo!
I picked this up recently during Prime Days on sale and put it to the task on a project right out of the box. Your video made setup a snap and I affixed the large clamps to the bottom tray for storage. It took a little playing with the brackets to figure it out, but they fit nice and secure. Love the adjustable legs and the unit itself was level and very solid. When folded it’s easy to carry using one of the folded top panels and fits nicely in the back of my mid-size SUV when traveling to friends for projects. I have a background in plastics and believe the polymer used in this workbench is not as brittle or hard as the competitive tables which have experienced cracking and chipping. This also makes it more suitable for absorbing impact blows on the working surface (hammering, etc.) and less likely to fail, IMHO. In closing, thanks for your excellent review which sold me on the Pony and I’m very happy with the unit!
I just bought this one after watching your review and watching reviews on other brands. What sold me on the Pony was better clamps and the height adjustable legs. Upon delivery and setup I'm very impressed with how sturdy it is and well made. Thanks for the we review!
And how is it holding up? I've yet to find a workbench (except those monsters the whole world used back in elementary) that lasts more than 6-10 months of daily professional use. Always opting for metal saw horses and a two by four frame, but that stuff is so clunky considering you move around to many projects..
I had a keter table for 10 years then one of the legs snapped off. Looking for a high quality replacement and this looks like the best option available.
I always look forward to your Ego videos but this one was awesome! Your presentation of this table makes me want to buy one even though I have absolutely no real need for it. My wife can be pissed at you instead of me. 😂
Great review. I’ve had this table for over a year and love it. Very versatile and sturdy. I was lucky to purchase this for $99 during Lowe’s “ Deal of the Day “. I did look at the DeWalt table which is very good as well, but I’m glad I went with this table. The clamps and dawgs make this the better choice in my opinion.
This is by far the best video demo iv'e seen. Did alot of research between the Workx and the Pony. Both are good work bench but the Pony has little more kick with the inner clamp insert, clamping vertically. Thanks for the video
Very interesting. I'd been thinking of getting another portable table and wanted to get something with better clamping ability. This might be it. Price is fair for all that is involved.
@@Kitearmy Actually I was in Lowe's Brother a few years ago when I picked mine up. I was looking into a Worx but Loved how solid this felt. When I seen Jorgensen made it I jumped. Great Company
Lowe's hardware has them for $139 but they only come with the two long Jorgenson clamps. I do wish that the would go up to 42 inches in height for 'full grown' adults. My back gets soar from constantly having to bend over to accomplish anything.
I had no idea the pony existed, I was looking at toughbuilt and DeWalt work table reviews, watched your review and went and picked the pony up. I do believe I'm going to be happy with it, thank you for your video. My only complaint is the bench dogs stick way out while in storage position, making it difficult to strap against the wall in my work trailer.
I got one of the pony work tables from Lowes price is $140.00 this one only has the two bigger clamps I also have the Kreg mobile project center kws1000 discontinued due to material costs I do like the pony the only issue I have is if you want to clamp something down using the dog holes at the edge of the work table you can't with the bigger clamps because the diagonal supports are in the way which I think is a major flaw because these holes would be intended to be used often in clamping down workpieces.
Great review, Andrew. Curious how the clamps are compared to the Worx and Keter tables 'cause they're just not up to speed. This table looks beasty AF. Thank you for this and have a great holiday!
Nice demo, I'm curious about your thoughts on this vs the WORX Pegasus table. From what I see it seems a little less convenient for setup and break down, but the clamping and bench dogs seem more robust. Are the holes in the top a standard size that would support something like a Festool Quick Clamp, or are they a smaller proprietary size like WORX has?
I am looking for a full demo of clamp mounting configurations. This isn't it. 3:58 to 5:45 covers two way of holding a single piece flat to the table. Holding a single piece in one clamp, clamping a piece flat to the table with a bench dog and edge clamp and an alternative method for holding a piece flat to the table with a vertical clamp through the bench.
one thing it missed is that this one doesn't have handles to moving around. tuck it in arm pits and you get all the dust on the table in your arms. it's very inconvenient.
Andrew, this is an excellent review. The Pony is like the Pegasus on steroids. I would like to know if any of the tool components between the two work benches are interchangeable. Like the clamps or benchdogs. And since I already have the Pegasus, I would like to know if the two benches could be used side-by-side at the same height level? Thanks again for the review.
@@Kitearmy Say no more. I have a question about pressure washers and no one responded on a bunch of PW videos. Maybe you might know. I live in UT with extremely hard water. I have to disconnect all of my outdoor hoses to my house otherwise the build basically turns so hard it becomes like cement. How would I go about cleaning the interior of the pressure washer? Should I just add vinegar to the soap compartment once I’m done? My old PW broke bc of the hard water.
Good physical demonstrations of the Pony's capabilities.
Thanks mate

Thanks for the review. I like the fact that it comes with the clamps and bench dawgs!
no need to let the dawgs out - hoot hoot hoot

As always this is a great review Andrew. You have great video and more importantly great audio. I like your mix of light banter and hard information.
Thanks mate - I really appreciate that. Happy Holidays!
Thanks so much for this video! Right to the point! I just bought one of these and this will def get me started.
Hope you enjoy it!

Great demo Andrew! No nonsense and straight to the point, just like a good salesman! I'm pretty sure I could use one of these.

👍Excellent video, most helpful! 😊 Thank You Very Much!
Good video! Just got one. Its great. The new version extends to 35 inches which is great when using as a work bench. Just a great design.

Thanks for the review! Can you use a non-jorgensen clamp to slide to those table slots?
I don't believe so
I have used the harbor freight ones but you have to drill out the hole in the bar.

How do we store 6 inch clamps - the larger clamps go in on the bottom of the table - if you can do a presentation on the same - that would be great.

Great review! And like the table but 32" is just not tall enough for a 6'3 guy like me I can already feel the back pain from bending over to work lol😂
The new version goes to 35".
I’m struggling between this and worx pegasus. I know you shouldn't talk 1 better than other, but can you give me a hint?
I like both - and have reviewed both - I would go with the cheapest cost

Looking interesting but a little complex. Any long term reviews after some use? I feel like sawdust and debris will give it problems eventually.
I think it's simple enough that it would be okay in the long run. New - so no long term tests
