Thank you for doing these videos and the excellent testing. I appreciate your explanation of T6 screws and why they are better in some situations. I'm sure you considered it, but I couldn't help thinking that the blade of the Cobra was close enough to the table surface that the give inherent in your clamping system may have been sufficient to let it come in contact with the table and support the lock.
That flintiso is way too heavy for its size. I wouldn’t use that but the quibit is an amazing light use summer carry. I love that one. Thanks for the comparison. I was curious about that

how many Malibu's have you tested? I'm a big Protech fan. I have a few Malibu's. I did a lock test on my Manuel Medford Nosferatu, and it failed on the 1st try on a very light tap on the spine. I sent it in, and they fixed it up nice, Medford has good customer service, at least for me. I won't spine Wack test anymore; you can make most knives fail
The reason I built the “hype smasher” was to conduct tests in a repeatable manner. It also limits the force to a fixed value that realistically correlates to human abilities. If you dig through my short videos, you will see that Malibu and Murdax failed the spine whack with a stick, but only Malibu failed the hype smasher. Medford… well you probably know how he feels about my videos… he is a character. For example, in my video about his OTF I called his knives “pure badassery” He didn’t acknowledge the video that covered some very important aspects of why the OTF is such a disaster and recommended some very specific fixes that eliminated its major problems.
